Early Morning Intruder (Part 1)

The morning was still early. Outside the sun had not yet risen into the sky as night still covered the land. Aoki stood outside the temple observing the battlefield between the temple and the werewolf knights of Theapan. Dust and dirt flying in the air around him from the different types of magic exploding all around.

Standing among the destruction he was not fazed in the slightest. There was no feeling towards the death that surrounded him. The only thing he could feel was a sense of hunger greater then anything else. Werewolf blood was useless for him but inside the temple resided a lot of races that were edible for him. He needed to get inside to get closer to them.

Moving at a pace faster then the average eye could follow he went for the temple. Amidst the darkness his actions were difficult to comprehend til he got closer. The people of the temple all tensed up at the sight of Aoki rushing for them. Patience was something Aoki was lacking due to his desperate state of hunger. His pink jeweled eyes glistening under the light of the moonlit sky as he bared his fangs for them to see.

"The executioner is coming!" "Don't let him close to the temple!"

The people called out at the sight of the vampire coming without pause.

BAMMMM! BAMMM! BAMMMMMMM!

Their magic was aiming for him only to miss due to his speed. Aoki continuously leapt over and dodged the incoming attacks. The light from the magic giving his silver-green hair a glimmering look as if his green undertone was neon in the light.

Not able to hold himself back from breaking in directly to sate his hunger. He made his way to the wall and leapt upward. His body colliding against the temple's wall. Making a fist with his hands and driving them directly against the wall with great strength.

BAM! BAM!

The wall crumbled where his hands slammed directly into the solid stone wall. Forcing his hands into the stone wall he repeatedly struck the wall. Climbing the wall with force and speed that made the temple's people shudder in fear.

"What are you doing?! Fire!!!" Johan Lovette shouted at his men as he leaned over the wall enough to see the sight of Aoki climbing the wall of his temple. "Shoot him down!"

Aoki could hear them shouting in panic over him. Unwilling to give in so easily he saw the magic aiming in his direction. No matter what kind of magic they fired at him it missed. His speed was beyond their own. Using his bare hands he repeatedly slammed his hands into the stone wall. Scaling the wall from left to right as he went higher and higher.

"The temple does not welcome you!" Johan Lovette shouted at the executioner as he swung his umbrella in front of him.

POP!

Opening the umbrella wide a whirlwind formed at the tip of the umbrella. Shooting out like a miniature tornado determined to sweep away everything in its pathway. Rock and dirt spun in the air as it was swept up in the tornado's wind. No matter how quick Aoki was the wind was too wide for him to completely avoid it. Some of the rocks managed to strike against his body leaving small cuts on his face and arms.

With a grip too strong to be blown away by the tornado controlled by the pope he continued to climb a bit more slowly. Fighting against the wind he made his way up the wall. Getting close enough to where Johan Lovette was he mustered up more strength in his body. Kicking off the wall and lunging straight for the top of the wall where Johan was.

"Kyuk!" Johan was thrown backwards into the arms of his men as Aoki's foot sent Johan's umbrella flying out of his hands.

"Your holiness!" Uriel shouted as the men caught their pope and made sure he was alright. They could not allow any harm to come to Johan Lovette.

In a state that could be considered rivaling insanity Aoki did not differentiate against who was around him. His body moved in the blink of an eye. Fangs sinking deep into the throat of the closest mortal near him. The person's blood spilled into his mouth as he drank it. There was no time for anyone to react as the person he grabbed was thrown into a state of shock and pain before he could make a move.

Without completely draining the person Aoki released him. Hurling the man over the side of the temple's wall. They could hear the sound of the man screaming as he fell with a hard impact that claimed his life instantly outside the temple.

"Light mages! Drive him out of the temple quickly! If not we might not be able to repair the damage he will cause!" Johan Lovette ordered his men as he was handed his umbrella by his aid, Uriel. "You go and warn the rest of the temple! If the outsiders are still asleep wake them up!"

"Fufufufu!" Aoki laughed at the sight of the panic in front of him. The sight of boundless food before his eyes was something pleasant after starving for so long.

"Yes, your holiness!" Uriel turned and ran as fast as he could to alert everyone of their emergency situation.

They could not spare everyone to fight against Aoki. If they focused solely on fighting Aoki it would mean giving way for the knights to invade them. To fight Aoki they would need to be cautious and find other methods.

The best solution they had was to wake up those with Vorbuk. Though they could not awaken someone who was recovering from loss of mana. The wolf would not be able to help them right now. However that did not mean there was nobody that could help them at all. A few of the people in his group should be able to aid them right now.

Aoki noticed Uriel running to find help and had the instinctive to chase the prey which was trying to evade him. Jumping down from the wall and landing directly on the temple's ground below the wall. He could see the large temple building in the middle. The place that held the scent of the world tree and wounded patients. It was a scent that was pleasant to him and made him lick his fangs.

As he readied himself to chase Uriel towards the temple building a gust of wind cut through the air in front of him. Halting in his steps at the feeling of the violent wind his gaze was pulled in another direction. Catching sight of Johan Lovette standing on top of the wall with his umbrella pointed directly towards him.

"Where do you think you're going?" Johan Lovette's eyes flashed with a cold gleam. Stepping off the side of the wall and slowly descended from the wall using the wind element to safely guide his landing to the ground. He could not allow the vampire to put the world tree or his temple at risk. There was much he had to protect within the temple grounds. Whether it was the world tree, his people, or his daughter everything within the temple was his to protect.
