Home Sweet Home!

Nevaeh was being tightly hugged in turns by both of them, and her mother was shedding tears the size of rain drops. 'We were worried sick! Where have you been! We looked everywhere for you!' she sobbed as she passed Nevaeh to her father who was again hugging and kissing her, his eyes misty.

For the first time in his life, Loki had made an appearance somewhere and was left completely out of the spot light. He stood there with his hands locked at his waist and watched the dramatic event occurring in front of with innocently blinking eyes. He still had no idea how she got on Asgard in the first place. This was the time to get some answers.

'Raphael and I went looking for you! We searched everywhere! You were not at your Grammy's! You never reached there! You broke into my office! Then vanished! You were gone! We tried using –'her dad suddenly paused, glancing at Loki.

'I am so sorry! I will tell you everything, right now, don't you worry! – Oh, this – is – Loki' she added, gesturing both her hands towards Loki's face and presenting him as though he were a talking rabbit. Loki smiled at them widely, showing all his perfectly aligned and sparkling teeth.

Her father was a tall, well-built man, with sharp cheekbones and an equally sharp nose. He had neatly combed straight black hair, with a few fringes falling on his forehead. He was wearing a white bowling shirt over brown cargo shorts. Her mother was a mere inch shorter than her husband, and had long, curly hair. She was wearing a yellow floral dress and had the hugest diamond on her finger. She had kind eyes which resembled Nevaeh's. Loki felt her presence uncomfortably soothing.

'She brought home a guy!' her mother whispered, subtly nudging her husband, and extending her hand to Loki. 'I am Ariel,' she said, smiling at him. Loki held her hand by her fingers, bowing his head down a little, and then shook hands with her father. 'Samuel' he nodded.

'Samuel and Ariel? That's lovely,' Loki smiled. Nevaeh scoffed; she had moved on from rhymes since the moment she had crushed the inner poetess inside of her.

Ariel beckoned them forward and gestured them to take a seat on the couch. Her parents sat in front of them, eyeing the pair as though they had just caught them making out in the bushes.

'Start at the beginning.' said Samuel.

'Define beginning –'she began.

'Hush – Nevaeh! Start talking! Now!' her mother bellowed. Loki thought he saw her eyes glowing a hint of yellow for the fraction of a second. But, she quickly met Loki's gaze and smiled warmly, as though telling him not to worry about her temper.

Nevaeh started telling them everything that happened. She retold how she took the device from some guy named Mark's laboratory who worked at her father's company, didn't place the co-ordinates in, didn't press any buttons, yet somehow came out the portal into Asgard and how Loki helped her by showing her the way. Although, Loki noticed that she left out the part of when she first saw him and broke his staff. Also, she mentioned nothing about the guards she knocked out. Loki was a bit disappointed; she hadn't revealed anything more than he already knew.

'Why did you offer to help her?' asked Samuel suspiciously

'The forest was on fire, sir. I had to' Loki said humbly.

Ariel gasped, 'You didn't say anything about a fire! No more withholding information!' her mother said, adamant on having nothing but the truth.

'It was not a full-fledged fire! Besides, as soon as I stepped foot there, Loki met me and we immediately went away from it! Ask him!' she said, pointing a finger at Loki. Her parents looked expectantly at him.

'Oh – Yes, immediately' Loki assured them.

She went on and on about everything. When she told them that Loki and her slept in a house, they looked at each other making somewhat weird faces, and Loki was pretty sure he heard Ariel clicking her tongue in disapproval. Would they have rather preferred their daughter sleeping on damp grass, instead of a bed? Loki wondered. Now that she was telling them all the things he had encountered with her first-hand, Loki had the opportunity of looking around in the house.

When Nevaeh talked about home, back on Asgard, Loki never thought it to be this big and fancy. Her house had a certain golden-ish glow to it, but Loki didn't quite see any gold object around the house, other than the wall-clock whose edges were of the colour. The house was more high-tech and modern, than old school and gold. He could hear the gushing of water and he looked at the outside deck visible from the living room. The broad windows sported a long stretch of beach with blue water sparkling in the setting sun. Adjacent to their sofa was a richly built wooden bar, holding innumerable glass bottles with a variety of liquor.

Loki noticed that Nevaeh was a spitting image of her mother. Ariel's eyes, nose, her entire face structure and even the way she spreads warmth by her mere presence was inherited rightfully by Nevaeh. The only difference was that she had long curly hair while Nevaeh's hair strongly resembled her father's.

Loki was enjoying Nevaeh's imitation of their adventures. As she told the part when she rescued Loki from the dragon, Loki watched her side ways with a thin smile on his face without being aware of it. The way she exaggerated certain elements of the story to make it sound more dramatic, horrifying and unrealistically inconvenient were just like he himself did at times.

After talking straight for about an hour and a half while Loki sat next to her, not refusing anything that Ariel was offering him to eat, Nevaeh finally finished answering her parent's questions.

'But what was approaching you? Why was the ground rumbling?' asked Ariel. Nevaeh paused to drink a glass of water.

'I don't know! We didn't see anything!' blurted Nevaeh.

'YOU didn't stick around to see what was big enough to make the ground rumble?' asked her father disbelievingly, as though he raised her better than this.

'You can't possibly have more questions! I was talking straight for almost two hours! Loki is hurt and I am tired! Can we please resume this inhumane interrogation later? Seriously folks, where is your humanity?' she asked dramatically.

Nevaeh nudged Loki. 'Why aren't you hurt?' she whispered.

'Excuse me?' hushed Loki

'You were hurt before we teleported. You were limping. Your face was bruised,' she whispered urgently.

'Oh! Asgardians – we heal fast' Loki whispered back, waving his hands in a-it's-not-a-big-deal manner.

Her parents thought it as best if they got a little rest before dinner and they kissed her one last time. 'Thank god she came back today! If she would've reached here tomorrow, we wouldn't have been here!' Ariel told Samuel, as though it would've been pure horror while sending the pair upstairs.

'I wish it were so!' sighed Nevaeh, climbing up the stairs with Loki behind her. They halted at the first floor which had three adjacent rooms. Nevaeh opened one in the middle and walked inside it.

'Is this okay for you? We have a green room upstairs!' she said mockingly.

'This will do' he smiled.

Nevaeh sat on the couch opposite to the bed. Loki sat beside her. 'I am so happy to be back home!' she said sighing loudly.

'Well, I am glad you are home' said Loki.

'You are feeling better now, right? Not hurt at all?' she asked, looking at him.

'Don't I look better?'

'Great! So now you can explain how exactly you figured out that trading yourself for a stupid device was a good idea?' Nevaeh asked fumingly, punching him on the arm. 'You left me alone for hours, Loki! Who does that?'

'Since the moment we met, you wanted nothing more than to go back home! I was making sure you got there safe!'Loki said simply, lying through his teeth.

'Yes, but if I had a choice as to – go home and let Loki die, or stay and let Loki live – then I would've stayed!' Nevaeh squeaked. 'I mean – my reaching home was not – it cannot even be compared to your life!'

'I didn't want any more set-backs, and we were journeying for a long time! That deal ensured me your safety!' he said, looking at her with noble eyes.

'Well, that deal ensured your untimely death as well! You are insane!' Nevaeh said exhaustedly, 'And why did you get that device anyway? I thought our original plan was to use the bi-frost to go home! Then, why the hell would you risk your life? We journeyed for two days to reach the site! And you ran away the moment we were anywhere close to it! I don't get it! Why?'

Loki knew that he would have to face this glaring loophole in his otherwise genius layer of lies sooner or later, but he was fully prepared for it since the moment he created his own captive state. As previously planned inside his mischievous mind, he let out a huge sigh, his handsome face looking suddenly crestfallen and noticeably sad.

'That was my fault. I was so desperate for your safety that I didn't think it through before offering you to show the way,' Loki said quietly. 'You see, just like the modes of transportation your planet has for travelling between different countries, Asgard has the bi-frost to travel between different worlds, as I had previously told you. What I didn't tell you was, using the bi-frost needs payment.'

'For buying tickets?' Nevaeh asked in confusion.

'Umm – yes.' Loki nodded, inventing wildly, 'the guards of the – the ticket counter of the bi-frost can be harsh on Earthlings. They would've been all up your business, asking you about how you got there, what were you doing, were you planning on executing the royal family, blah, blah. I – I didn't want you to experience that. Also, the tickets are too expensive –'Loki paused after reading the furious expression on her face.

'Then we would've bought them! I could've tolerated a little racism! Dude, are you serious right now—'Nevaeh was interrupted by a chuckling Loki.

'We couldn't have bought the tickets! You don't even know Asgard's currency! And I think you have forgotten that I am just an Asgardian local who doesn't own much! I can't afford the luxuries of such out-worldly travel! It has been years since I left Asgard.' Loki finished, looking extremely disgruntled.

'Oh, Loki. We could've figured something out!' she whispered, grabbing his shoulder. 'I could've made a deal with them or something –'

'I made a deal. It's done. You are home' Loki said, in a drop-it tone of voice.

Nevaeh fixed him in a firm stare. 'If anything like that happened again, just say something to me first! I can always help, even on other planets! And you cannot sacrifice your life just to get someone home!'

Loki paused and moved his finger to wipe out the lipstick mark her mother had lovingly left on her cheek. 'Families are important' he said finally, looking into her eyes.

'Right, I should give you some space. You should rest. Go take a shower, take a nap. I will come by as soon as I wake up' she said, quickly getting up, and before he could say anything, she walked out, closing the door behind her.

Nevaeh went directly into her room and threw herself on her bed. She had missed her bed and her room. She sighed with satisfaction, everything was okay now; Loki was right in the next room, her parents weren't mad at her, she didn't break any bones, had journeyed successfully, and she also had saved a dragon once and an Asgardian boy twice! Not half bad!

Loki made himself at home and was pleasantly lying down on the comfortable bed while staring out the open window overlooking the Ocean. It had been quite a while since Nevaeh's departure and he was caught in a train of thoughts.

What a pleasant way to get out of everything! When he had left Nevaeh, he was positive that she would move along her way and will not wait for Loki. When he created illusions of the creatures who gave her the device, which was indeed capable of teleporting her, he could've bet that she'd take it and go home, without giving it a second thought. But, she didn't. When 'the creatures' gave her a death threat of having her decapitated, he had literally smiled to himself being utterly sure that she would leave immediately, denouncing her act of being a 'hero'. Yet, she didn't. On the contrary, she came looking for him.

Loki knew he had to be in some state of unconsciousness in order to avoid giving answers for his foolish act of leaving her alone for several hours on an unfamiliar planet, and he had aced it! He was feeling pretty pleased with his performance. At some point, he knew that he would indeed prefer a trip to Midgard with Nevaeh, but he hadn't planned on making it actual reality by coming here this soon. Yet, here he was, lying in her bed, on Midgard. Loki certainly had an important errand to run, which he had been contemplating in his mind ever since he thought of coming here. He could feel his brother's presence on the planet. Loki wondered how mortal life must be suiting him. At least Loki was merely pretending to be ordinary, all the while hiding his real, extraordinary self, having recently suffered turmoil over his true parentage. But Thor had no option of switching roles from an Asgardian local to a mischievous god who happened to be the King of Asgard. No, Thor was stuck in his mortal form and Loki would make sure that he'd have no other option but to stay that way for as long as possible.

He noticed Nevaeh's bag pack sitting near the couch. She had forgotten it there while leaving Loki's room in a haste. Loki quickly got up and opened it. Clothes, a few books, thermos, a water bottle, the baby demon's scale, nothing quite interesting. He was about to zip it close when a wooden stick prodded his finger. Loki removed it from her bag to take a closer look at it when he heard sudden, approaching footsteps.

Nevaeh opened the door to find Loki leaning on the bed with his feet crossed and looking out the window.

'Yo! Loki, what's up?' she said being overly casual, now that they were on Earth.

Loki got up, brushing his clothes. 'The ceiling?'

'I got to ask. Why do you always get up when I come over?' she asked, looking at a standing Loki and taking a seat on the couch. 'Those are manners that make you properly presentable. Men tend to do that' he said, settling on the bed opposite to her.

'No one usually does that, most of the guys are jerks,'Nevaeh said, shaking her head.

'Well, then you have been in the wrong company. Why did you think I was getting up all those times?'Loki asked.

'I thought I startled you!' she admitted.

'Every time?' Loki asked laughingly 'You flatter yourself too much, little one. I am not that easily start—'

'AHA!' Nevaeh yelled loudly, making Loki jump a little.

'What the hell–? Never do that again!' he snapped as she chuckled.

They went downstairs only to find the dining table set up neatly. Nevaeh took her place on a chair and beckoned Loki to sit next to her. They were talking about random topics when her parents came in and took their places. Soon the dinner was served, they sipped aged wine along with bacon and smoked salmon. The food was so deliciously prepared that Loki was reminded of his palace's feast, although salmon was not frequently prepared back on Asgard. They were again discussing the day's events and Nevaeh was participating with renewed interest.

'I still don't believe Crystal said "May the force be with you"' said Samuel shaking his head smilingly.

'He did, Dad! Ask him,' Nevaeh said, again pointing a finger at Loki who couldn't answer because he had a mouthful of bacon inside it. He nodded before swallowing it all.

'That's one of the few parts she spared from exaggeration' he said and Nevaeh slapped him on the back. Soon, her parents wanted to know all about Loki, which Nevaeh quickly shot down with a shushing gesture towards them, hoping that it went unnoticed by Loki, which of course it didn't, but he pretended to be unaware. Nevaeh hadn't told her parents that Loki was an orphan and keeping her family history inside her mind, she thought of it as best to disclose the matter in Loki's absence.

'We asked Raphael if he could join us, he was anxious to meet you. He had been worried sick when you were gone, didn't get a nick of sleep either!' said Ariel, picking up a piece of bacon by her fork and extending it to Nevaeh, who bent ahead on the table and ate it.

'I am glad he couldn't make it' said Nevaeh, after eating her spoon-fed bacon. 'Well, because I am too tired for his relentless badgering today! I will have a word with him soon!' she added quickly, answering her parent's questioning look.

'Who is Raphael again, now?' asked Loki.

'My master, I told you about him' she said curtly.

Loki watched her parents expectantly glance at him,as if waiting to hear what Loki knew about the man. 'The one that teaches Math, yes?' he asked, catching her parents' slightly disappointed faces.

'Uh-huh' said Nevaeh.

There was a sudden silence in which the family exchanged a series of expressions while glancing at each other. Samuel extended a piece of salmon tucked in his fork towards Nevaeh, who gingerly ate it in silence. Loki frowned, wondering if this was some sort of weird family tradition; they all were eating the same food! She had plenty of salmon for herself! Loki was puzzled and made a mental note of enquiring about it with Nevaeh.

'When is Angel coming back from that horrid household anyway?' asked Nevaeh, suddenly as though the silence has gone completely unnoticed by Loki. 'Tomorrow, sweetie' Samuel replied 'She will be here before you wake up.'

After dinner, Loki and Nevaeh were finishing their dessert when Ariel and Samuel began putting on fluffy coats and shoes. 'Sleep soon and wake up fresh, both of you,' cooed Ariel.

'And Loki, we never did properly thank you for bringing her home. Know that we will always be grateful,' Samuel smiled.

'The pleasure was all mine, sir,' Loki said humbly, clapping a hand over his chest. 'It was indeed exceedingly annoying and tiresome, what with the relentless talking and—'

Nevaeh punched him on the chest as they all laughed 'You should be glad when she is talking. The real danger is when she is silent—'Samuel stopped suddenly after receiving a glaring look from Ariel.

'Night, you two,' Ariel said, taking Samuel by the hand.

Loki watched the pair stepping outside the house and closing the door behind them. 'Are they providing us with some privacy?' he asked, arching an eyebrow, 'because you can tell them that it is completely unnecessary. This is a fairly big house and—'Loki was interrupted.

'What are you talking about? They take a walk on the beach before calling it a night. That's their ritual!' Nevaeh scoffed. 'Don't flatter yourself.'

'Well, your parents are lovely,' Loki said.

Nevaeh got up to keep their bowls in the sink. 'Aren't they? I will give you a tour of the house. Come on!' she said, and was about to give Loki her hand, but sold it off as an awkward head scratch.

Loki frowned and got up from the couch. 'I don't bite, you know,' he sounded a little pissed.

'Don't take this personally, I tend to avoid human contact' she said.

They walked passed her living room, past the kitchen. Nevaeh was leading the way when suddenly she halted. Loki almost walked into her.

'Shh! Do you hear that?' she whispered.

Loki heard shuffling of footsteps from the opposite room. 'Listen! There is someone inside!' she pointed towards the ajar door, 'wait here.' Nevaeh approached the room like an under-cover agent. She quickly opened the door and barged in, with Loki quickly hurrying after her.

Loki watched her run the length of the room. She grabbed a man by his neck and shoved him face-first on the ground. The man struggled. 'What are you looking for?' she asked. Nevaeh effortlessly turned him around, about to punch him.

'Miss! It's me! Oh God, please!' the man cried.

'Pablo?' she cried, hastily letting go off him. 'What are you still doing here?' she asked wildly.

'I finish the laundry, miss!' he whimpered as she helped him up on his feet.

'I am so sorry for hitting you! We have told you so many times to go home after your hours are done!' she said frantically, 'Also, you cut your hair! And I have never seen this shirt before! It looks great, but I didn't recognize you!'

'Pablo, why don't you go home for the night and finish the laundry tomorrow?' Loki asked politely, beckoning him outside the door.

'I no come tomorrow!' snarled Pablo and he stormed out of the room.

'I like Pablo!'Loki chortled. 'Shut up,' Nevaeh stormed off the room, heading directly upstairs.

'Are you still giving me the tour?' he asked and she told him to follow her. Loki would have usually been pretty pissed off by this, he didn't like being told to follow, but the sight of Nevaeh attacking a defenceless human was indeed a sight to behold.

They entered the room right next to Loki's and he was thoroughly taken aback. The room was bright and warm, the light peach colour on the wall had a little shimmer to it, and her bed was neatly made, above which was a wooden shelf full of books and comics. The room had a variety of posters hanging from the walls. Opposite the bed was a huge flat screen. The window adjacent to the bed had a beige couch next to it, just like Loki's room, and the window sported the view of the beach. There was a huge shelf next to her door, showcasing many odd toys ranging from stuffed bears, to an odd, little statue of what Loki thought looked like Satan. Right next to it, on a straight glass shelf was a collection of tiaras. Loki picked one up which had little red stones studded in it.

'You want to try that on?'Nevaeh teased.

'What are you?' he asked quietly, looking at Nevaeh with a frown.

'What do you mean?' she asked.

'Forgive me, but you confuse me. You just beat up a harmless, little man for who knows what reason. Your room has both stuffed animals and a –a Lucifer figure. You told me your favourite colour is black, yet I see no hint of black in this room – apart from thatblack robot-guy holding a red stick figure, and a poster of 'Come to the dark side, we have cookies?' You smoke like a dragon, and yet have a collection of tiaras like a spoiled little princess!' finished Loki, pausing to breathe.

Nevaeh was staring at him with a dumbfounded look as she understood his question; exactly what kind of a weirdo she was. 'Wow – umm – usually people just say "Nice room, Nev", but sure, you come from a foreign land where –'

'That has nothing to do with my question—'

'No, no. You said enough, now shut up and listen to me! First of all the "Lucifer" you speak of is Darth Maul and I mentioned him back in Asgard. Secondly, the robot-guy is a Dark Lord and don't you dare speak ill about him! – And about smoking and tiaras, how can you even compare that? Can't a girl do both?' she asked, clearly irritated.

'Dark Lord? You are kidding, right?'Loki asked, quickly approaching the figure to take a look at it.

'Don't touch him!'Nevaeh said slapping Loki's hand, and quickly taking the figure in her hands,'You know, it might be easier if I showed you! I haven't watched Star Wars after returning home anyway. Let's do a movie marathon! Oh – this would be fun!' she said quickly placing down the figure and picking up her TV remote.

'I don't think that's a good idea. I am not really a movie person,' Loki said hastily, reaching out for the remote, but she again slapped his hand away.

'Don't you want to see the Satan you so fondly spoke of?' she asked, clicking frantically on the remote while pausing to stare at the buttons as if her time on Asgard had made her forget which button is where.

'What I don't want is to be bored,' Loki admitted. He actually wanted to hear more about her parents and family, but she was looking scarily excited.

'Oh, you won't be!' she said.

'Oh, I highly doubt that.'

'I find your lack of faith disturbing,' said Nevaeh in a robotic voice, followed by what sounded to Loki like an asthma attack. He quickly patted her sharply on the back. She giggled to herself after Loki's confused reaction and sat down on the floor. Loki remained standing, wondering if the girl was all right in her head.

'Loki, sit down! That's an order!' she said patting the floor beside her. Loki sighed and sat down. 'This better be good.'

'Oh, it is. We will watch Episode 4, 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6. Twelve hours of fun coming your way!' said an excited Nevaeh.

'Wait! WHAAAT—'Loki was saying, but Nevaeh shushed him and the movie began. At the bottom of the screen, there indeed was a list of six uploaded movies. Loki felt like disappearing.

… … …

Ariel and Samuel were strolling down the beach, hand in hand and were discussing their daughter's return. 'You have to accept the fact that she took care of herself without causing any harm to anyone around her! She was there for two whole days, Sam! You have to give her credit for that' Ariel said soothingly.

'I just don't want to encourage her for anymore "accidental adventures" like this one! What was she thinking before taking that device from Mark's laboratory anyway? She knew it was forbidden!' Samuel said.

'Maybe she was thinking that she would gain more knowledge of the world, she knew what the prototype did! You told her to gain more knowledge of the universe!' Ariel reminded him.

'I meant by reading more books, not going on a reckless trip all by herself. And by the looks of it, she wouldn't have made it back without that pretty boy she brought home,' retorted Samuel.

'He is pretty, isn't he?' she laughed, but quickly continued. 'Sweetie, you know that if that device had the capacity of sustaining another portal, she would've been back home immediately! She wouldn't have stayed around to ponder!' Ariel said, although not quite believing it.

'That explains why she packed her clothes and not her mobile, she wouldn't have found network there, anyway,' he said grumpily, but his face turned grave immediately. 'What are the odds, though? After everything we have done, she wounds up on a different planet! Even after avoiding—'Samuel paused under his wife's stare.

'Don't go down that road, Sam, it's completely unrelated. We have never even heard of Asgard! Nev had a good time, no one got hurt while she was having a good time, and that is all that matters,' she said firmly.

'But, we have to think about it! I mean – the moment she finishes her Masters' degree and catches a break, she lands on another planet! Right under our noses! We couldn't stop her! What if Asgard was filled with monsters or some dangerous species?' Samuel asked.

'Sweetie, we already have a boy of Asgard's species inside our home! Does he look anywhere close to dangerous?' Ariel asked in a tone which suggested that Samuel was being irrational.

'I am going to size that boy up before we leave for DC,' he muttered, which was quickly followed by a frustrated look from Ariel.

'That boy is the reason Nev is home, so you better be good! We all know how you treated Daniel!' said Ariel warningly.

'That boy was a mess! Nev is born to express grace, just like us, even without her abilities! Can you tell me how a princess dating a worm could be graceful?' he asked shrewdly.

'Samuel! Do not ever say that, in front of anybody! Ever!' Ariel shrilled in a high pitched voice. 'Well, Nev would agree with me.' Samuel smirked as they strolled back towards the house.

After watching three and a half movies, Nevaeh finally dozed off. It was four o'clock in the morning. Loki left her room and entered his. He wondered how Nevaeh had managed to get so caught up in those goofy space movies. When the fourth movie had begun, he'd seen her eyes getting watery with sleep, yet she had insisted that they play it.

Loki made himself invisible. He never did finish the tour of the house, even after being here for more than twelve hours.

Loki went downstairs and started exploring the house. It looked better at night, somehow more warm. He could hear the gushing of the ocean as he strolled through the living room, looking at the paintings and pictures. He chuckled to himself as he picked up a framed picture of a five year old Nevaeh dressed as Princess Leia, whom he now recognized, thanks to his attention during the movies. He chuckled again as he moved past the laundry room, the memory of Nevaeh throat punching Pablo was precious.

Loki walked near the living room bar, glancing at the various liquor bottles; scotch, whisky, vodka, gin, malt, brandy and a huge collection of flavoured wines. He stopped abruptly in the middle of the bar and stomped his foot lightly on the floor.

He stomped his foot on the floor again, his forehead creasing heavily. Despite the absence of any empirical occurring, Loki felt like something was out of place, or to be more precise, something was in this place.

Loki waved his right hand in the air. The dark, bar area where Loki stood shone a dim gold. A diamond shaped golden outline revealed itself on a big tile of the marble flooring. The tile slowly moved beneath the ground without making a single noise and disclosed a flight of stone stairs going below. Odd, he thought, as this was a beach house. Without giving it another thought, Loki quickly began heading downstairs.

He was fascinated by this newfound lower-floor, wondering what treasures or weapons they might've hidden here. His curiosity took an extreme leap ahead when the stairs ended in front of an expensively high-tech, safety door which had a square shaped panel for the security code. Loki chuckled to himself and opened the door with a mere gesture; he found it funny how humans wasted money foolishly.

As soon as he stepped in, bright light hit Loki's eyes, making him squint. The door closed itself behind him. Loki could feel something in the air. He was standing between two walls which stretched out till far ahead. Above him, the roof seemed to be made of the same, blank wall which was bathed in the glow. Loki wondered what the actual colour of the walls could be and he quickly looked around for a light switch, but his genius self knew that this glow was not that of a flame or some bulb. It was something much more…
