A son shine

Ita called up Ador and said, " Do not worry. It's your first child, so no matter what, give birth. We will look after you and your baby, if you are thinking, the baby is not welcomed from their end. You are my strong daughter, don't have doubts on your ability and strong will"

Ador told her that Dev did not say anything. He was neither happy nor sad. Bali did not like her good news. She also informed ita that Gopi said that she would not take any added responsibility, though she welcomed the good news.

Ita said not to worry as things will fall in their place because "this matter" to sink in, takes time.

Ador started taking care of herself. She bought stretch mark creams like Bio Oil and Strechnil, started using them too. She also bought a book on pregnancy. She started having more food, thinking about the growth and development of the foetus.

Slowly her morning sickness stopped. Her skin started to glow.

Dev used to look at Ador, and would just think to himself. He did not want to be a father soon. Nor did he want to dampen Ador's high spirit. He was in dilemma. Though Ador used to satisfy his physical urges, he still thought, that if the baby comes, his demands would be less fulfilled. Moreover he used to watch porn and try out new ways to crave his biology. Ador though would bleed sometimes never complained, previously. Now she would not succumb to him. He was having his share of the fun, now he did not want to stop it. He did not want to be a father soon, too. Baggage after all, is what he thought about an upcoming child. So he started drinking more and abusing her. He used to use slang words that would provoke her. Family sentiments worked, he thought and used to mentally, physically torture her. She never complained, as she was used to his loathing. 2 months passed, yet they never consulted a doctor and he never used protection while satisfying his physical urges, though now, not on a daily basis.

Ita seeing that no doctor consultation was being done for her daughter got worried. She discussed with Kir.

ll Kir called up Bali and said, they wanted to keep their daughter with them during the tenure of pregnancy, and would bear all the expenses incurred during this time, the medical expenses, doctor visits, hospital stay, just everything. Bali found it insulting and refused. He said that they have a family friend who was a female gynaecologist, name Krishna and that Ador would be taken care of.

Kir disconnected the phone with a heavy heart. He wanted his daughter back but was chained due to Ador's in- law's likes and dislikes.

Sooner than expected, Ador was taken to a gynaecologist and vitamin b12, folic acid capsules were given in her prescription. The foetus though tiny, was fine. So she asked for an USG, by next week.

All was running smoothly. Bali had some good PR skills. He contacted a radiologist who used to do USG too and he turned out to be a distant relative of Gopi.

Ador started to crave for fries. He mother in law started to say laughing, that, when the baby would come out, it would ask for pakoras. Everyone laughed. Both her in law's also started to be keen on her developments and asked her to quit her job.

Dev and Ador used to quarrel over resignation. Dev wanted her at home, whereas Ador used to go to work in a taxi on a daily basis and applied to HR of her company for the three months of maternity leave in the month of October. Months flew past, Ador now had a small bump. Hoping and Ador went to Dr Gautam, the radiologist, for an USG. Baby's heart beat could be heard. He leaked the information that Dev was going to be father to a son soon. Gopi became excited. She went home and told Dev and Bali about what Gautam said. Things started to brighten up for Ador. They kept a governess for Ador who used too cook light meals for her and wash her clothes and clean the toilets. Previously Ador used to wash both Dev's and her clothes and clean the toilet that they both used. Gopi never called the sweeper for them, but only for the other toilets on the house. Ador used to find it strange but never complained. Only when they learned that there was a son in her womb, did her days brighten as Dev did not come to her, rather he masturbated.
