The road ahead

While Ador was on treatment and stayed at home for the upcoming month, Dev too was in a trance.

He was more into alcohol. He literally lived in alcohol. Seeing his son in such a pitiful state, Bali thought of going on a vacation, just for a change. So the trio headed towards Digha, a sea beach in the outskirts of Kolkata.

They took a long drive to Digha with Amal their driver and the ever faithful assistant of Bali, Adhi.

When they reached hotel, Gopi and Bali went to the beach, reminiscing their romantic days in the past, hand in hand. Who said old people were not romantic. It's just they wait for the right time..... for their own sweet "we time".

Adhi with Amal, enjoyed the sea breeze and were taking cigarettes. They also relaxed.

Dev was the only one, who was in his room. Eyes tired with a forlorn look. He was thinking about his misbehaviour with Ador, how she took it without any complaints. He was thinking hard. Previously the fiery Ador used to quarrel with all her might, justifying the right from the wrong. The Ador for whom he had a soft spot. This Ador lately, was changed, subdued, did whatever he said..... why????? So that she did not have to endure much pain because of her refusal to give in to his unjust demands or she took it as fate and did not complain though both she and him knew that he was inflicting pain.

Dev was in pain. He wanted to change. But he could not. He wanted Ador back. But he could not. How could he call her. All these feelings when hovered in his head, he thought it was time to change, for her to be happy with him. She needed her chance too. She has no fault that his college love story with the Christian Oriya girl had failed miserably, leading to him not trusting women gender more. His father had threatened him, that he would not allow a Christian to enter a Brahmin household. No Sristi Solomon.....

Bali, being influential, during those days, had with his power, made the girl change her college within a week of Dev's grand proposal.

So he hated Ador. But he still was sane now, as he believed his inhumanity couldnot be for Ador. She did not deserve his wrath. He thought when he gets back home, he will talk to Ador and coax her, to come back to home, their world.

He wept silent tears and went to sleep.

The next day, he woke up to a beautiful sunrise. He smiled, went for jogging around the area.
