Primary School

The next day, Chen Hai unwillingly left the stall behind in the storage area. Today was Monday, so he will only have time to sell after he is finished with school.

To be honest, Chen Hai detested school a little bit, 'Why was there so much homework? Why is everything I learn so important? How the heck am I supposed to use math in my life?'

'Ahh- Enemy, I see you have two arms, so by the power of the Soul Gods, it means you will attack with those two very hands as one plus one equals one!', how the heck is math useful? Wait that's actually two huh...

Anyways Chen Hai grabbed his ridden down old backpack and made his way towards the primary school. In truth, if Chen Hai really wanted to, he can actually start joining the work force to be a food vendor by now seeing how talented he was in that subject, but Chen Hai will never be that stupid.

Although he didn't understand why learning the subjects mattered that much, he did understand one thing. That was the fact that the only way to become strong was to attend school!

Why was that? It was because of the battle classes! They taught things about Martial Souls, Spirit Souls, battle tactics, and everything needed for a Soul Cultivator! This was every kid's favorite class!

It was also Chen Hai's favorite class! Of course this did not mean he liked everything about it... but never the less, it was still his most liked class. It taught him things that he had never even dreamed about before.

There were different types of Soul Cultivators, and they can each do distinct separate abilities corresponding with their Martial Soul! People who owned a cloud Martial Soul could fly! People who owned a fish Martial Soul could breathe underwater! People who owned a poison Martial Soul could become immune to poison!

This resulted in different classes. One can become an assassin, tank, magician, or even a support class. It all depended on the type of Martial Soul one possessed.

For Chen Hai, well... maybe he is a support class? He didn't really know, his junk soul was basically non existent without a Spirit Soul.

Spirit Souls gave the user unique abilities! With each Spirit Soul will come another ability! They can be anything from an increase of speed to the raining down of meteorites!

Of course the power and usefulness directly correlated with the Martial Beast and its cultivation level. If it was weak, it will be a weaker spirit ability.

When Martial Beasts die, they form a Spirit Soul, and this was what people needed to help them cultivate faster. With each ten levels one would be able to gain one Spirit Soul. However, if it was too powerful compared to the user's cultivation strength, than it would make the taker explode from the amount of energy!

Bonding with a Spirit Soul was the process of integration, and if the Spirit Soul is too strong compared to the bonder, than the ravaging energy will kill them inside and out!

So one must be careful when choosing which Spirit Soul to bond with, plus if it was too weak, than it'll be detrimental towards one's future path of cultivation. So there was nothing casual about choosing one's Spirit Soul as it directly related to their future.

Soon his primary school reached his sight. This was the only primary school of this small city, and it was called Yunnan Primary School, named after the city it resided in; Yunnan city.

Yunnan city was actually more of a big town, it had enough residents to support itself and have good economy, but it was still small enough to not have a single secondary school within the city. So when the kids here graduated primary school, they will be dormed in other cities if they decided to continue their education.

In most cases, people will select to continue as the education about the Soul Cultivation was very important to one's livelihood.

Entering the school, he went towards his class to find a seat. He felt a little nervous about meeting Ms. Biyu again, but he still knew he must attend school if he wants a good future.

"Ahhh- Look who it is! Dusty Flakes, how's your cultivation doing?", a voice came from a boy who had just entered the classroom. He was a fat kid, round as a ball, and had eyes scrunched like there was no tomorrow.

This man had always picked on him like this, never leaving him alone throughout the six years he has been attending this school for. In fact, he lived in the same children's home as him, and was also the one to yell at him in the middle of the night when he yelled to the sky.

Responding to the fat kid to quickly get him to stop talking to him, he told him that he is actually doing pretty good, but the chubby boy did not believe him. Sitting in the seat next to him, Niu Peng scanned the surroundings to make sure no one was eavesdropping. Seeing the coast was clear, he quickly scrunched his fluffy fat skin next to Chen Hai, making Chen Hai feel unbelievably uncomfortable.

Whispering to make sure no one overheard his next words, Niu Peng made sure to speak quietly, "Chen Hai, do you have more of those rice balls? I only found out about them this morning! Why didn't you give me any!? I thought we were friends!? So when you found a good future you didn't care about your best friend anymore!??"

Pushing Niu Peng off of him, he told him he doesn't have any while also keeping his voice quiet, but not forgetting to lash at him. "I don't have any Yaki Rice Balls ok!? I'll give you some when we get back ok! Just stop pushing your blubber on me, it's so gross! Plus I don't like guys!"

Hearing Chen Hai insult him, Niu Peng's face became very serious for a moment. "Don't worry, I'll only like you if you become my sugar daddy."

Chen Hai's face twitched with veins attempting to burst out his forehead. He really should knock some sense into this kid later.
