Well into the morning, Biyu Cuifen stood waiting at the children's home while talking with the kids. She taught most of them, so they were all on pretty good terms. She was here to pick up Chen Hai today, however he has still not peeked out from his room he went in last night.
She has already been waiting here for two hours, and she decided she had enough of it. He was probably awake by now, it was just that he was still moping over the catastrophe of yesterday.
Asking one of the kids for where Chen Hai's room was, she made his way towards the old door of his.
Tu- Tu- Tu-
Hearing no answer when she knocked on the door, she opened it up to go inside the room. Spotting Chen Hai easily in the small room, he stood ledged onto the window, leaning his arms on the windowsill.
Ever since he had woken up, Chen Hai's eyes did not move away from the green yard. This was what where he had practiced for six years, and this was where he met a new life.
It seemed to him that every six years of his was a new journey in life for him, each seemingly getting worse. First he lived the life of a king, second he lived poor, and now, his life will be a cage, suppressed for an eternity.
Once he graduates from that cage of the educative schools, who's to say that his life will get better after that? He would become an adult, and adults had to fend for themselves. If his life already looked this bad, than what will it be twelve years from now when he graduates from an educative mill?
Feeling a tap from his shoulder, he woke up from his trance and looked at his teacher confused. He didn't understand why she was here at his home, and started feeling a bit befuddled. "Ms. Biyu?"
Looking at the small clear eyes, she inwardly smiled to herself as it looked to be that he was feeling better. "You are coming with me, your grandpa already packed your things. Hurry up so we can go, I've already been waiting here for two hours..."
"Going? Are you taking me to the school? But... aren't I supposed to go with the rest of the students?"
"No... and yes too... Although we can't change the past, we can make the future better. Now we know why you had such a bottleneck, all we need to do is find the solution."
"A Spirit Soul!? You already know my Martial Soul though... Where the heck can we find one that matches what I need?... Even if we find one, it probably won't be selling in this small city, and on the off chance it was, it'd be too expensive... If it's like that again, Ms. Biyu... I'll pass, you've already done enough for me...", feeling down, Chen Hai went to sit on the bed.
"You have to come, you don't have a choice anyways, your grandpa already agreed to me taking you. Plus I'm not buying it, but we're going to find it.", sitting next to Chen Hai, she tried to convince him in order to change his mind.
"Find one!? Ms. Biyu, but that'll take forever... You probably don't even have time to search for one, and I don't even know what type of Spirit Souls I can even bond with!", standing up from that seat he just took, his head stared straight at Ms. Biyu's face at near eye level for the first time.
Standing up in turn after him, she was done arguing with him, and started to push him out the door lightly. "Even if we can't find one, you're going to give up without even trying? What happened to the 'you' I saw these past three months? Did you end up disappearing?"
He didn't really know why, but on reflex he tried to rebel against Ms. Biyu, attempting to get away from her strong grasps and back towards his bed. "Let go of me! Why are you forcing me to do something I don't want to!? Let me go!"
Grabbing onto the flaying kid harder so he squirms less, she directly dragged him out the door now while he kept trying to push himself back into the room. "Would you just calm down! This is for the freaking better and you keep trying to run away from opportunities!? Let me fricken tell you that this will make your future better! Plus, did you know that the owner wants me to introduce you to someone after we are done!? The guy is probably a teacher at some battle academy, or else he wouldn't let you ruin your future to be taught by that man!"
Hearing the word "battle academy", Chen Hai finally stopped trying to run, and started to let himself be dragged. His eyes couldn't help but shine with expectant glee. "Battle academy? Are you telling me the truth Ms. Biyu? You're the best!"
Making sure for him to not lash out at him in the future, she still made sure to tell him one more time so he understood what she meant, and didn't flow in one ear and out the other. "That's just my guess alright? Now I'm letting you go, you are so heavy! Anyway, the old man told me to bring you to some guy at a city to be taught by him, it might not be a battle academy ok? But it will definitely be better than the future you will have if you do nothing."
Now knowing that it was only a chance, that was still more than enough for him to take the gamble. Even if she weren't telling the truth, there wasn't anything to lose on his part other than troubling his teacher more.
Bringing him to his luggage, the owner was nowhere to be seen. "Chen Hai, we need to go, it's already so late. You don't need to say goodbye, he already knows you're leaving and it's not like you will never visit."
A little reluctant, he still acknowledged her, following her out the door after leaving a note. Making sure to say goodbye to the group, and leave them some "seasoning" for them to enjoy, he went with Ms. Biyu down the road, away from the children's home.
As the figure's blurred into the horizon, hidden, the old owner watched the kid leave from another destination. He felt like it would cause some trouble if he stayed, so he waited in a place he could not see for him to go, that way he can see his back one last time.
"Goodbye Chen Hai..."
