The Test

Via got to the entrance of the tower, and saw the gate of the ToMh opened. When she got closer she saw that a lot of future students were trying to pass through the gate but an invisible force wouldn't let them. She then saw Marcus trying it too without avail.

Via- 'what has happened, Marcus?'

Marcus- eh? Oh, Via! It seems that this is the first test. Joshua passed through the gates with some other students, but we can't pass!

Via- (hmm...)

[this looks like a basic no-human magic barrier... but slightly modified.]

Via- 'Marcus, remember what we did on our training? Do it now.'

Marcus- !! so it's like that, huh?

Marcus focused his magic on his body, and with a blue glow, he passed through the barrier. Via followed effortlessly. They soon were on the first floor of the ''tower'' and saw a message on the wall.

''To all of the new students. Try to get to the top floor of the tower. The more floors you climb, the better the reward! PS: you have to pass through the first floor to be accepted on the academy.''

Marcus- what? And what will be stopping us?

Via- 'they are not going to say that' (this will be difficult, and with Marcus here... *sigh*)

They followed through the first floor, and saw signs of battle. A cut on the wall, blood on the floor. Marcus was closer to Via now, and she had changed her ninja class for the knight class. Then, as soon as they turned a corner, a swordsman attacked them. Via quickly blocked the swordsman with her spear, and pushed Marcus out of the danger.

Marcus- Via!

Via then twisted her body, and changing her class to martial artist (she had a yellow ''kill bill-like'' outfit), she kicked the hand of the swordsman with her feet reinforced with magic. The swordsman dropped the sword, and she knocked it out with a round kick on the back of its neck.

Via- 'we have to hurry! This guy was a summon!'

Marcus- wha-?

Then the body disappeared, confirming what she said. They ran through the hallways of the tower, and they saw the stairs to the next floor soon enough. There, they saw a lot of knocked out students, and Joshua fighting a swordsman that was visibly better than the last one. Joshua attacked with an horizontal cut, but the swordsman parried his sword upwards. The sword was going to cut the neck of the swordsman, and Joshua stopped in fear. Then the swordsman kicked him in the gut, and when he was going to finish him with another kick, he kicked a shield that appeared between the both of them. Joshua looked forward, and saw Via on her Guardian class. She pushed forward the swordsman, and made him stumble backwards. She changed to her dual swordswoman class, and made a cross attack, leaving a X shaped wound on the swordsman. The swordsman tried to cut her horizontally, but he met only air as she was already crouching.

Via- (crescent flower!)

She made a double upwards slash using magic to cut deeper, while jumping on the air.

Via- (Huricane blade!)

She twisted her body on the air, and using magic, she made a horizontal round attack that made the swordsman disappear immediately. Lastly, she landed gracefully on the floor, and changed her class again.

Via- (Change of class, Magic Apprentice)

She had now a white staff, a blue pointy hat, and a blue and white robe.

Via- 'we have to get to the next floor if we want to be students, let's go'

Marcus- (that was awesome!)

Joshua- (that was impressive...)

Via- (that was embarrassing!! why did I talk like I was the leader? They must be thinking ''who does she think she is?'')

[the one that saved their asses! But I think that they are more impressed than angered, Via.]

Via- (but I don't want to be a leader! I can't talk! And I don't want to deal with them more than necessary!)

[...just don't become a tsundere...]

The three of them made it to the second floor, and walked towards the third floor.

Marcus- so... are we going to try getting to the next floor?

Joshua- of course! We can only try to be the best!

Via- 'I agree, but don't get confident... also, why did you stop your sword, Joshua?'

Joshua-... I don't want to talk about that.

Via- (ups, I touched a soft spot right?)

[it seems so]

Via- 'we need to have a formation. Marcus on the middle as the leader, I'll be on the back as the support, and Joshua on the front as the vanguard.'

Joshua- why the midget is the leader?

Marcus- hey! ... but true, why me?

Via- 'because you can't do anything else at the moment, and we have to be a team for the professors to see. You can accelerate your thought process enhancing your brain with magic. And I'm not that intelligent to be a leader anyway.'

Joshua- he can do that?

Marcus- yeah, we found out on our way here.

???- oh? So some brats think that they are a team?

Marcus- eh? Who is it!?

Joshua- show yourself!

???- so noisy...I like it! It seems that I'll have to teach you all a lesson as your future professor.

Then all of them saw a guy with green, wavy hair that was a mess, and he had a harlequin outfit without the hat. He had a deck of cards on his left hand, and a staff on his right hand.

???- my name is Harold. Professor Qween for you.
