Ice against Ice

Caroline- fight!

Via threw two ice shots against Rose, and Rose managed to defend herself with an ice wall.

Rose- ice? You want to defeat me using ice!? you'll pay for your disrespect!

Rose expanded her ice through the floor to freeze Via, but Via just jumped, and made a platform of her own ice. Our protagonist then created ice pillars around the ring. Meanwhile, Rose was charging her magic to imagine an attack that will freeze the air around Via. She did that 3 seconds later, and at the same time chains appeared from the pillars Via made, trapping Rose.

Rose- this are just chains, Via is totally frozen. Even if both of us are trapped, it's my win, no?

Caroline- yes, that would be the case... if Via were like you said.

Rose- what?

Rose looked again, and the Via that she froze begun to change. And she knew on that moment that it was a copy of ice. The real Via got out from inside the platform she created, and asked.

Via- 'do I win then?'

Caroline- Rose, can you get out of those chains?

Rose- ...grr... tsk, no. I can't control ice that isn't my own.

Via- 'you can imagine you can. I mean, it will cost more magic, but we can imagine everything.'

Via turned to the ice Rose made to win, and dispelled it.

Rose- ...

Caroline- you have ten seconds. Then I'll say that you can't escape. 10.

Rose was trying to dispel the chains, or move them, or anything

Caroline- 9, 8, 7.

Rose was thinking now what should she do...

Caroline- 6, 5.

Via then went through one of her pillars and appeared on the other side. Rose thought about it.

Caroline- 4, 3, 2.

Rose- (I can do it. I can go through the chains myself.)

Caroline- 1...

Rose then went through the chains, and got ready for the next part of the combat.

Caroline- good job. Via, are you ready?

Then a copy of Via was created from the ice on the floor, and she gave a thumbs up.

Caroline- good, resume the fight!

Rose was pissed off because Via was fighting her with a copy. Meanwhile, copy Via was trying her best to win. She was trying to freeze Rose, and Rose was destroying the environment of ice to find the real Via. The copy made it way to the front of Rose, and using the ice inside it, made a self destruction.

The explosion of ice managed to freeze Rose. But when Via got out of her hiding spot, Rose moved freely inside the frozen explosion, like if she were swimming, and attacked with ice spears from inside. Via begun to dodge the attacks, and using her imagination, she dispelled the frozen explosion. Then she created spikes on the floor where Rose was falling, and hoped that it would be enough to break the shield. Rose saw this, and created an ice slide to dodge the spikes. And when she got to the floor, she saw that Via was there, creating an ice sphere around her. Via made this sphere with a lot of her magic, making it impossible to manipulate for anyone else. (obviously, the professors could. All of this is taking into account that she's on the same level of magic than the enemy)

Caroline- good job. Dispel the sphere, Via.

Via nodded, and dispelled it. Then she changed to her magic apprentice class.

Rose- I- I've lost?

Caroline- yes, you have. Via, is there something you want to ask Rose? Be reasonable.

Via- .... 'it's a difficult question. I would like her to stop yelling to Ebony. I don't care if she yells at me, and I can't ask her to drop the noble attitude. That just too much to ask.'

Rose- what's wrong with my attitude!? have something to say!?

Via- (*sigh*) 'no. No I don't. Will you stop yelling Ebony? At least a little?'

Rose- hmph! I have honor. If that's your request, I'll do it. But I'll yell to you for her mistakes!

Rose then got out of the stadium hmphing a lot.

Via- (well... that just happened.) 'see you later, professor Danvers'

Caroline- see you later, Via.

Via got out of the stadium, and Caroline looked on her direction, smiling.

Harold- it's weird seeing you smile.

Caroline- Via makes me remember a partner I had when I fought on Pacrium.

Harold- oh? That's interesting. Weren't you part of a secret group of Defenders?

Caroline- yes. And we had two supports on our team. It was me, and my friend. I just think that Via has the same look on her eyes.

Harold- she's the most interesting first year. But there are more than just her. Rose and Ebony are also strong and imaginative. And a guy called Marcus has a weird way to use his magic.

Caroline- yes. Marcus has less experience than the others, but he manages thanks to the fact that he makes his brain go faster thanks to magic.

Harold- that's dangerous...

Carold- but his head doesn't hurt after using it. And that's weird. I think he can do that freely.

Harold- this bunch of first years are something else, huh?
