Flying Wind God's Art

"Did you know that the girl you knocked out is... Yun Che's wife?"

"Yun Che's wife... what a coincidence, what's her name?"

"Xia Qingyue."

"Does she know that I killed her husband?"

"Probably not."

"I see, maybe one day I'll break the news to her..."

~

"How can I help you?" A well-established elder asked a client.

This client looked pretty ordinary but in truth, he was strong enough to blow up the whole Blue Pole Star with one snap of the finger. No one knew this... and no one needed to know.

"I wish to give this exact mission to a disciple called Jun Long."

"We don't do exact orders..."

"You don't? Well, you do now."

The Transcendent Being stared down at him for a second and he nodded. No one in this world has the willpower to reject such a mighty being.

"Yes, you're correct, we do accept exact orders."

"Good, give this to Jun Long and make sure he accepts it."

The Transcendent Being gave a piece of paper to the elder, he looked at it and nodded.

"I will do so immediately."

~Noble Rogue Sect, Library~

"I almost skipped a beat, you were away for longer than you should've been." Tai Wentian admitted, "So how was the mission?"

"It was alright, there were some hiccups but I found Jun Tian and ended his antics in the end."

"Good to know... you have been making great progress, I'm most impressed. Once you join a division, you will most likely be promoted to the rank Alpha. But before that, you must prepare for the assembly. More importantly, you must prepare for the tournament that begins during this assembly."

"The assembly... when is it?"

"Tomorrow."

"Damn... I haven't been keeping the track of the time."

"Make sure you don't disappoint me." His cold eyes stared at me for a while, then they moved away "Go, you have to make your preparations."

"Of course, Grandmaster."

~

Come on... I'd like a breakthrough tonight.

"Instead of sitting in your room like some hermit for a whole day, why don't you actually improve your battle power? I'm sure you could learn some useful profound skills in a day." The Dragon commentated

Your right... what am I doing here sitting in my room? I'm taking myself to the Training Pavillion.

~Training Pavillion~

Aerion was astonished by what he was seeing; disciples sparing each other, disciples using their most powerful profound skills, disciples learning new skills and some were lifting crazy weights. He was even more surprised by the strength of the walls. Tornadoes? It's a light breeze for the walls. A wall of flames? The walls don't even burn. Disciples smashing down their giant greatswords? The greatsword falls back and the greatsword might even break! There was also a large arena where it was a free-for-all mess. This place looked fun.

This is the perfect place to release one's full power without having to worry about the surroundings...

"This place... it's impressive."

"It's your first time here, Long?"

Aerion turned around and saw his 100-day-training comrade.

"Lei? You're here too?"

"Yeah, I'm trying to learn the third stage of the Flying Wind God Arts."

Aerion was interested. "Can you show me the manual?"

"Of course, let's leave this chaos by renting a private room first..."

"I agree, I don't wish to get hit by some stray profound energy."

(and give the disciple who hit me a good beating)

So, apparently, the training Pavillion provided private rooms on the third floor. Once Aerion realised the size of this place, he was in complete awe. FIVE LARGE FLOORS? Like, what is this? Even the most useless disciple can become decent if you leave them here for a while, this place has everything a cultivator needs!

~

While Lei and I were walking up to the third floor, a very arrogant person shoved me away with his shoulder.

"Watch where you're going, trash."

Such nerve! Does he know who I am?

"Excuse me?" Aerion turned around and faced the back of the very disrespectful disciple.

"Hmm? What is it?" He turned around and face Aerion.

Aerion chuckled, "Never mind."

Earth Golem Creation.

A human-sized golem appeared in front of the young man and shoved him to the ground. Then the Golem disappeared like he was never there.

Aerion laughed loudly as he continued walking through the halls.

"YOU... YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY!? I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I AM TAI DANG! THE GRANDSON OF TAI MING, THE COMMANDANT OF THE GUARDS. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?"

What the hell? This man is taking this little encounter too seriously.

"Jun Long... I suggest you..."

"Don't worry, I'll sort him out."

Aerion walked back to the screaming Tai Dang.

"What's the damn problem?"

Aerion stared down at him, his lilac eyes glowing.

"I... I feel disrespected."

"So did I, let's move on."

"No... no. I will get my revenge... RIGHT NOW!"

Hmm?

He draws his sword which was at the earth profound realm. He wasn't lying, he's a person of high status in this sect. Does he want a fight? Allow me to entertain him!

He lunges forward with his sword, aiming to pierce my chest.

Perfect counter.

I step to the side and taunt him.

"If you want to cut me, you're going to have to be faster than that!"

"Damn you... TAKE THIS!"

"The 3rd profound skill..." Liu Lei commentates

"A THOUSAND CUTS!"

Aerion was a step too slow, he didn't expect him to use such a profound move. In fact, Aerion was a bit too confident in his abilities.

Wind appears and it traps Aerion.

*Slash*

Even though Aerion was a bit too confident and careless, the "thousand cuts" didn't really harm his dragon body. Sure, there were a few cuts but it wasn't anything dragon scale regeneration couldn't heal.

"So? Is that all you can do, grandson? This Grandpa is most disappointed."

"Damn you... damn you... damn you... YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!"

He scuttled away like some rat.

Liu Lei walked down and he looked concerned, he was worried. "There's no way you're joining the guards now, the commandant would either smack you silly or make you do ridiculous tasks every single day."

"Is that so? I'll join the Blades then."

"The Blades... are you mad?"

"Hmm? Did I say something wrong?"

"The Blades... are super strict. You make one little mistake and you have to do a hundred pushups. Address your leader wrongly and you have to do a thousand situps... it's living hell. In fact, when a disciple joins the Blades in the assembly... do you know what they chant?"

"No, I don't."

"Welcome To Hell."

"Oh..."

Most intimidating.

~Third Floor, Training Room~

"So this is the Flying Wind God's manual?"

"Yeah."

----------------------------------------

Flying Wind God's Art

1st Stage: Mighty Wind Slash - a powerful wind slash

2nd Stage: Wind Aura - wind surrounds and protects the user

3rd Stage: A Thousand Cuts - wind surrounds the target and cuts the target a thousand times. Can be used on multiple targets.

4th Stage: Flying Wind - a movement technique that is used to travel over long distances, makes the user "run like the wind". Once someone thought the person was flying when in truth he was only running! Hence the name 'Flying Wind'.

5th Stage: Earth Destroying Tornado - creates a tornado, the size depends on the strength of the user.

6th Stage: Sky Piercing Hurricane - creates an even stronger wave, requires large amounts of water to start-up.

7th Stage: Supreme Flying God - an improved version of the Profound Floating Technique, extremely fast.

8th Stage: Wind God's Domain - creates a wind domain where the targets are constantly harrassed by wind and the user can create absurd amounts of wind.

9th Stage: World Ending Storm - as the name suggests, it creates a large storm that will absolutely wreck everything in its way.

----------------------------------------

Wow... these profound skills sound quite useful.

"Time to learn these skills..."

Comprehension time!

~2 hours later~

In just two hours, Aerion learned how to create and manipulate wind. The first two stages were extremely easy for him to comprehend (Liu Lei helped accelerate the process) but the third stage was a bit more difficult. Still, even if it was more difficult, Aerion mastered the third stage in an hour.

"A THOUSAND CUTS!"

Liu Lei sat in awe as Aerion mastered the move he had been struggling to learn for months in two hours...

"You... you're too good at this, Jun Long."

"Now, that I know it, I shall teach it to you."

"Really?"

"Of course."

"Let's get started then!"

~An hour later~

Teaching it to Liu Lei was harder than teaching it to himself, but he did it.

"A THOUSAND CUTS!" Liu Lei shouted, with a bit too much excitement.

Wind surrounded Aerion and he was slashed a thousand times. The wind didn't even penetrate his body... still, Liu Lei finally broke through to the third stage.

"Oh man... with this new move I can get to the Top 32."

"Top 32? Like in the assembly tournament?"

"Mhm, it's the second round. 64 division-less adepts basically volunteer to face each other. It was designed to display the future of the Noble Rogue Sect to the public. Guards and Blades use this tournament to find talent and persuade the adepts to join their divisions. This year's tournament is extra competitive as the grandmaster's children are participating..."

"Xia, Shu and Quin?"

"Yes, all of them."

"That's going to be fun."

"Well... now that I've learnt the third stage, I think it's time I rest."

"Farewell and good luck in the tournament."

"You too."

Liu Lei left the training room and Aerion was left alone. Then the scarlet princess herself appears.

"What is it?"Aerion asked

"It's about time I teach you a proper movement technique, something far better than that peasant-like 'swift wind' you use."

"Peasant-like? It's quite useful..."

"After you learn this princess' movement technique, you will discard swift wind and forget it ever existed."

"Alright, let's see this amazing movement technique... wait. Is it the one Yun Che used on me?"

"Mhm, the Star God's Broken Shadow."

"Teach it to me."

"What's the magic word?"

Aerion swallowed his pride, just this once. "Teach it to me, please..."

"Alright, this princess will consider it."
