Mist End Valley's Demon

Divine Spirit Realm beasts... damn it, not now.

"Rhaegal, Daemon, retreat immediately. It's no longer safe around here."

The returned to the Sky Poison Pearl, where there were hundreds of profound cores they could feast upon. Truthfully speaking, this was far more beneficial for them than it was for him because they are profound beasts. However, the Heaven Absorbing Silver Claw could still fully absorb the energy and add it to his cultivation strength or, if he wished, profound energy reserves. He wondered if the Heaven Absorbing Silver Claw was capable of completely draining a profound practitioner dry and stealing their cultivation strength...

"What an interesting thought... heh, but it should work as long as the person doesn't move."

Aerion sighed, although it sounded very beneficial, he had to find someone who truly deserved such a cruel fate first.

"There we go again... you want me to pull out a list of certified criminals?" Rotias asked.

You can do that?

"Heh, Qianye Fantian is a good one. The Brahma Heaven God Emperor, a peak Divine Master, and a very evil man. I saw him as an alright God Emperor until he went a bit too far with the Royal Spirits. He slaughtered thousands of Wood Spirits along with the patriarch and his wife when they came to him for the Brahma Heaven God Realm's 'protection'. Now, unfortunately, there are only two remaining members of the Royal Family. That line is destined to fall apart because of a single mortal's greed..."

The noble God Emperor of the Brahma Heaven God Realm... he did something so sinister?

Aerion couldn't believe it, was Rotias making something up to rile him up? But he sounded very sincere... a sincere Rotias? That was even more shocking than what Qianye Fantian did.

What about the two remaining members of the Royal Family, do you know where they are?

"The elder sister is with Shen Xi, the 'Dragon Queen', and the younger brother is somewhere in the Darkya Realm. They had to split up due because of Qianye Fantian... he's still far stronger than you so you shouldn't bother with him quite yet. Speaking of the Darkya Realm, there's this Black Soul Divine Sect which has found a great way to profit off of Wood Spirit Orbs while also seeming completely innocent. They might even manage to hunt down the younger brother. Their strongest being is a Divine King... then there's also the Divine Martial Realm which backs this kind of practice."

"You see, Aerion Targaryen, there are plenty of people who are worthy of death. Now, that you know, you must do everything in your power to provide them with a cruel fate!"

"In the future, of course," Rotias added. "You don't want to go around courting death."

Aerion nodded.

I will make sure they all burn one day...

Growl.

A Divine Spirit Realm beast found him. Aerion stood up and tightly grasped the Heaven Smiting Sword with both hands. His killing intent at this moment could scare away even the most foolish Divine Tribulation Realm beasts but this was an enraged Divine Spirit one. With a quick observation, he found out its name.

The Mythical Winterfrost Direwolf?

It looked relatively tiny when compared to a Winterfrost Direwolf, being only a meter tall, but the icy aura around it was far more chilling. It moved closer and closer... Aerion's maximum power was comparable to the middle stages of the Divine Spirit Realm so the beast wasn't a huge threat to him.

Silver Calamity, Phase 4!

I'll finish it off quickly.

Ghost Flames slowly covered the Heaven Smiting Sword... the Mythical Winterfrost Direwolf tried to pounce onto him but he swats it away with the Heaven Smiting Sword. Now, he had more than enough time to form his next attack.

Soul Shattering Slash!

...

The Mythical Winterfrost Direwolf dropped to the floor, lifeless. He harvested its profound core and placed it inside of the Sky Poison Pearl. Despite the assistance of Scale Regeneration and the Great Way of the Buddha, he was extremely tired from hunting all those profound beasts. He was pretty close to fainting from sheer exhaustion.

Izanagi.

He rejected reality and found himself back in peak condition, ready for round two. One by one, he started to slaughter the Divine Spirit Realm beasts via assassination all thanks to the Moon Splitting Cascade's concealment ability. This ensured that he didn't have to enter a long and drawn-out battle with the stronger beasts. He had no issue dispatching all of them, except for one: a late-stage Divine Spirit Realm Ice Dragon.

I'll deal with that one later...

Aerion avoided it as best as he could, fighting that thing would mean suicide no matter how he approached it. Well, the Sky Poison Pearl could handle it but that would be a massive waste. He found a nice little cave to stay in and looked over all the things he had gained. It was a successful expedition, to say the least. He reforged Sky Piercer and Blackfyre with Divine Spirit Realm profound cores. Then he entered the Sky Poison Pearl to give Little Rhae a few snacks.

"Big Brother... I'm hungry."

Aerion pats her head. "It's alright, I've prepared quite a few snacks just for you."

Aerion took out five Divine Spirit Realm swords which he had personally forged. Each sword was worthy of a Divine King but Aerion didn't hesitate to give them all to Little Rhae. They should keep her busy for a while. After she was full, Little Rhae took a nap on top of Rhaegal who was quite tired after feasting on the bodies of multiple Divine Tribulation Realm beasts. She had always taken a liking to him but Rhaegal couldn't be bothered and found her quite annoying at first... that is, until recently.

Sleep well.

Aerion left the Sky Poison Pearl and continued his hunt, this time being a little bit more cautious. The Ice Dragon was something he truly had to be warry of until he reached the later stages of the Divine Soul Realm. The days passed quickly and the Mist End Valley continued to become more nightmarish. The amount of Divine Spirit Realm beasts increased and those below the Divine Tribulation Realm ceased to exist simply because the strong profound beasts continued to feed on the weak. Naturally, Aerion grew stronger as well.

~Two months later~

After killing thousands upon thousands of beasts...

BOOM.

Aerion felt his body surge with greater strength, the strength of the Sixth Stage of the Divine Soul Realm! It took him only two months to jump from the peak of the Fourth Stage to the Sixth which was astounding. But when one added his problematic Calamity Dragon Veins to the equation, the feat was a hundred times more impressive!

Rhaegal and Daemon had an even greater transformation, however. Both of them had reached the middle stages of the Divine Spirit Realm! From the peak of the Divine Soul Realm to the middle stages of the Divine Spirit Realm... in two months! Their capacity to grow had truly shocked him and it would probably shake the entire God Realm as well if this was to be known. In terms of battle power, they actually neared the later stages which meant that the trio was more than capable of taking down a mere Ice Dragon.

The disciples who were trapped in the Mist End Valley avoided Aerion like the plague. His mere presence made them shake in fear... let alone his bloodthirsty gaze. He was more frightening than any of the profound beasts in the Mist End Valley! So Aerion didn't meet any fellow disciples... even if he did, he would not have treated them kindly. They were in here for a reason.

"Heh, I think it's time we take that Ice Dragon out of the sky." Daemon suggested.

Aerion nodded. "There hasn't been a better time to do so."

The Ice Dragon became the ruler of the Mist End Valley when it appeared but it looked like the Ice Dragon's reign was about to end.

"Hmm, you three would make a nice meal... especially you." The Ice Dragon turned to Rhaegal.

"Hmph, let's see you try, icy!" Rhaegal roared.

"Icy?"

"Icy," Rhaegal confirmed. "You're an Ice Dragon so I decided to call you icy, you got a problem with that!?"

"No, not at all... I quite like it."

...

Aerion scratched his head, something wasn't right. This was the point where the Ice Dragon was supposed to attack them but, instead, it seemed quite friendly.

"So... we came here to kill you." Daemon bluntly stated.

"Oh, is that so? It doesn't look like it... I feel like we can all get along, you know?"

"That Ice Dragon is a female." Rotias laughed. "It looks like Rhaegal inherited some of your charm. Either that or the Ice Dragon is very deceitful.. hmm."

Aerion sighed, such a simple thing became so complicated in just a few seconds. He couldn't find the resolve to fight the Ice Dragon anymore.

"Father, it looks like Icy is trying to escape death with a few kind words! Hmph, we mustn't be dissuaded."

Aerion nodded, how unfortunate.

Silver Calamity, Phase 4.

"Oh... it is so very unfortunate!" The Ice Dragon suddenly roared and breathed down ice on Rhaegal. But he countered it with his fire... however, the ice was winning ground ever so slowly. Aerion supported Rhaegal with a barrage of Phoenix flames while Daemon attacked the Ice Dragon from the side. The Ice Dragon retreated further into the sky and forced Daemon down.

Eternal White Purgatory!

White Lightning surrounded and trapped the Ice Dragon.

BOOM.

BOOM.

BOOM.

ROOOOAAAR.

The Ice Dragon broke free and seemed more ferocious than ever. Rhaegal tackled the Ice Dragon and they found themselves in a dance of dragons. Surprisingly, Rhaegal managed to win without Aerion or Daemon interrupting. Rhaegal's fire started to burn brighter as his rage increased... he grew increasingly fierce! The Ice Dragon was being suppressed more and more... until it ended with Rhaegal's complete victory.

BANG.

Rhaegal forced the Ice Dragon onto the ground and prepared to breathe down one more wave of fire. Aerion proudly looked at Rhaegal.

That's my Dragon alright.

"Any last words, Icy!?"

"I... don't want to die..."

"Hmph... you have already dug your grave!"

However, despite his words, Rhaegal couldn't do it. Aerion walked over to the Ice Dragon and took out Sky Piercer. "There is a way you can live... and that is by signing a contract with this King!"

"It's either that or certain death!"
