Aerion entered the hall and laid his eyes on Feng Xue'er for the first time in years. A feeling of regret overcame him for a moment before he brushed it aside.
Today he looked exceptionally handsome. His long, silver, hair was as free as the wind and his eyes glowed a lustrous lilac colour which could burn away any maiden's cold heart with a single glance. He wore clothing worthy of the supreme Celestial Dragon Emperor, as usual, his robes were mostly black and crimson with some gold in there too. In all of Primal Chaos, there was not a single man who could come close to him in terms of appearance. You could say that he had already ascended past the divine realm in that regard.
Feng Xue'er, now widely known as the Divine Phoenix Goddess, had grown even more beautiful over the years. Through the full inheritance of the Phoenix, she had also managed to reach heights which the masses could only dream of. When Aerion met her beautiful azure blue eyes, he felt at ease and free as if he were trapped in a wonderful dream.
"Big Brother Aerion, is that really you?"
"Of course, who else could it be?" Aerion smiled. "There's only one Aerion Targaryen and he's right here."
Feng Xue'er embraced Aerion and didn't let go for a long time. "Unfortunately, I don't have much time to spare but this is still something I must do."
"Do what?"
"Your father doesn't seem to be hesitant in the slightest... nevermind that, I, Aerion Targaryen, the Celestial Dragon Emperor of Blue Pole Star, would like to ask you, Feng Xue'er, for your hand in marriage!"
Aerion took a short breath before asking a rather simple question.
"So, would you marry me?"
Feng Xue'er gasped for a moment before smiling. "Of course, I would!"
"I'm glad to hear that." Aerion chuckled as he felt a surge of relief.

After taking a stroll around the Wasteland of Death, Aurion had felt something calling to him but he rejected it and proceeded onwards. However, he decided to remember the location and perhaps leave the matter of exploring it for later. He made a short visit to his grandfather and the Noble Rogue Sect before flying to the Blue Wind Imperial City.
"Everyone seems to be talking of my royal father's return, I want to return to the Sacred Land and see him again..."
"Then we shall go there immediately, your Royal Highness." Fen Juecheng replied.
"But, I can't return to him empty-handed." Aurion countered. "The Blue Wind Kingdom's Princess... hmm, that just won't do. Not only is her status lacking, but she is already your woman, Senior Juecheng."
Fen Juecheng frowned. "No, that's not true."
"Oh, she isn't?" Aurion chuckled. "It says here that you were infatuated with Cang Yue, so much so that you would do anything for her, but she rejected you every time."
Fen Juecheng looked away. "That was the young and foolish Fen Juecheng of the Burning Heaven Clan. He died when his Imperial Majesty showed me the truth. In the end, I realised that chasing her was pointless and a waste of my time. Besides, my love for her was one-sided so I have no idea where you got the idea of her being my woman from."
"Alright, that sounds great." Aurion nodded. "You've changed and become a greater man. Hehe, which is precisely why you must try once more! Unless your eyes have gone blind, Cang Yue is still considered one of the top beauties in the Blue Wind Kingdom and someone like you, an elite member of the Sacred Seven, shouldn't die alone."
"Die alone?" Fen Juecheng laughed. "I'll always have my fellow Dragonsguard and his Imperial Majesty."
"Man, you're clueless. I'll go ask the Blue Wind King and Princess myself if a marriage is acceptable. Ever since you won the Seven Nation Ranking Tournament alongside uncle Shu, there have been some rumours that you caught her eye so I'll go and see if that's true."
"Uh... no, you won't!" Fen Juecheng swiftly stopped Aurion.
"Then man up and do it yourself." Aurion sighed.
"Fine, I'll do it. Maybe things will go differently this time, if not, then I'll simply forget about it."
"Excellent." Aurion smiled. "You let me leave the Sacred Land so you can consider this little rekindling as a favour in exchange. After we're done here, the next stop is the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace!"
"Hmm, why is that?"
"I'd like to know what the Fairy of Frozen Moon thinks of my royal father, of course."
"Fairy... Xia? Her heart is colder than ice, even his Imperial Majesty could never attain her."
Aurion frowned. "That's not true, my royal father can get any woman his heart desires! It's just that he hasn't really tried yet, you know? This book even writes that he was dazed by her beauty but never made a serious move, instead he focused on Aunt Izanami who he already had developed feelings for. Granted, it does say that father has a slight dislike towards cold beauties as they tend to be rather empty on the inside, however, a heavenly beauty is still a heavenly beauty!"
Fen Juecheng sighed. "Alright, we'll go there as well, but I doubt anything will come out of that visit."
"You doubt my diplomatic capabilities, Senior Juecheng." Aurion chuckled. "Even if I am just eight years old, I'm widely known as an unparalleled prodigy so you can't compare me to an ordinary child. I'm a genius just like my royal father so doing a little convincing shouldn't be too difficult."
"Hmph, I knew that ever since I was assigned to you, your Royal Highness. Now let's pay a visit to the Blue Wind Imperial Palace before it gets dark."
"Mn, let's do that."

After a week in the Divine Phoenix Sect, Aerion returned to the Dragon's Heavenly Palace with Feng Xue'er and a vast group of people of the Divine Phoenix Sect. This group, of course, included his future father-in-law, Feng Hengkong. Currently, only two out of his five wives resided on Blue Pole Star and those two were Huan Caiyi and Tai Xia.
The Demon Empress did not waste much time, arriving almost immediately after the news of his return spread to the Illusory Demon Continent.
"Hmph, I see that you're taking in another wife."
Aerion chuckled. "Trust me, there's more on the way."
"Father... it's really you!" Daeron ran to embrace his father.
His black hair was rather lengthy for someone of his age. But, more importantly, he had inherited the blood of the dragon as his eyes were clearly violet. With his father's blood coursing through his veins, it was likely that Daeron Targaryen would blossom into a genius just like his big brother.
Aerion smiled as he bent down and held him tightly. "You've grown greatly since the last time I saw you, my son. One day, you'll be as strong as me if you keep growing at this rate." Aerion laughed.
"No, I'll grow even stronger." Daeron chuckled.
"I look forward to seeing how you will accomplish that. Father grows strong rather swiftly, after all."
"But I can't start cultivating yet, mother says I'm too young. Meanwhile, big brother is already in the Emperor Profound Realm."
"The Emperor Profound Realm?"
He's only a few months over the age of eight, how is that even possible?
"Uhoh, the blood of the dragon is a spectacular thing, indeed." Rotias amusingly stated.
Daeron nodded. "And it only took him fourteen months! He started cultivating at the age of seven and surprised everyone. Big brother is already considered the greatest genius in the history of all three continents. But I won't lose out to him when I start cultivating!"
"Competition is a good thing, I suppose." Aerion smiled. "Caiyi, I'm sure you miss this King's presence so let's move somewhere more appropriate. This entrance isn't the best place for conversing, after all."
"The Dragon's Heavenly Palace should do." Huan Caiyi replied, going inside of the palace.
~
"It's so cold around these parts," Aurion stated. "But I expected no less from the Snow Region of Extreme Ice. Still, I'm glad you got the Princess of Blue Wind in the end. Even though I didn't benefit from it, helping you gave me a good... feeling? I don't know... you're my Dragonsguard so I couldn't let you walk around with a huge burden on your shoulder."
"I suppose you are naturally kind, your Royal Highness. I'm sincerely glad that you helped me with my indecisiveness. If I hadn't settled the matter with Cang Yue, I believe that the shadows of my past would continue to haunt me. I was in the middle-ground and you gave me the opportunity to finally decide whether I should embrace my true feelings for Cang Yue or forget about her forever."
"Hehe, now it's time that I assist my royal father!"
Aurion dropped down, right in front of the entrance which led to the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace.
"Senior Juecheng, open the gate for me."
"Wouldn't this be considered trespassing? We weren't even invited nor did we inform the sect beforehand."
Aurion chuckled. "I'm the son of the Celestial Dragon Emperor, the man who rules every piece of land on Blue Pole Star. This Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace would be honoured to receive me in the first place, nevermind seeing it as trespassing. Senior Juecheng, you just don't want to enter, do you?"
"Hmph, I'd rather return to the Dragon's Heavenly Palace instead of seeing you stain his Imperial Majesty's name."
"I would never stain my royal father's glorious name. If she doesn't feel anything towards my royal father or even considers joining the Dragonsguard, then so be it. She can stay at the peak of the Sovereign Profound Realm forever and see her talents wasted. Even if royal father never loves her, he can still make use of her great talent which would lead to her becoming even stronger."
Fen Juecheng opened the gate to the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace which did attract the attention of everyone nearby. It was unusual for males to visit the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace, after all.
"Aww, look at the silver-haired boy... he is too cute."
"Isn't that the first prince of the Celestial Dragon Empire?"
"The person beside him must be one of the Sacred Seven then."
Under the gazes of multiple disciples, Aurion hid behind Fen Juecheng. "What is it, your Royal Highness?"
"I feel... I feel like they're going to pounce onto me at any moment! Protect me with all your might, Senior Juecheng!"
"..."
Fen Juecheng laughed. "Your Royal Highness, it isn't that bad. They won't do anything to you while I'm here."
"Haha... how undignifying of me, let's go and see the Fairy of Frozen Moon."
After some searching and asking around, they had walked over to Xia Qingyue's cultivation room. She was not to be disturbed under any circumstance which made Aurion slightly nervous.
"She's really strong, right? If push comes to shove, would you be able to defeat her?"
"Maybe." Fen Juecheng replied.
"I see. Still, I trust in your combat prowess, Senior Juecheng! This Xia Qingyue clearly lacks in battle experience... honestly, what can you gain from sitting in one room every single day? Slowly open the door and let me do the speaking."
"As you command, your Royal Highness."
Fen Juecheng slowly opened the door for Aurion as he entered. Fen Juecheng followed suit, closing the door behind him. Aurion spoke out, as he had intended.
"Forgive me for disturbing your session, Fairy of Frozen Moon, but this matter is of great importance."
