It happened

After practicing, they departed. Jake, Jack, and Jin ride the car going home while Jason and Jimmy walked together.

They chatted and joked in the way. However, Jimmy's fear happened. A man masked riding a motorcycle aimed at Jason. Jimmy quickly blocked Jason and the man shoot. He quickly got away with his motorcycle.

"Ugh!" grunted Jimmy and fell into the ground his waist near his stomach was hit. Jason couldn't understand what happened until he found Jimmy holding his stomach while blood was pouring.

"Jimmy!" shouted Jason and went beside him and hold his hand tightly. The blood stained in his clothes.

"Jason.*Cough*" said Jimmy holding Jack's hand.

"Hold on. I'm gonna call for ambulance." said Jason and called 911. He shouted at the phone.

"Jason. Stop *Cough* I'm already dying."

"No. No. Jimmy. You couldn't say that. Ambulance are coming. Just hold on." said Jason and tears he was holding. Before Jimmy could reply, he fainted.

Meanwhile in Jake's apartment...

Likewise, the three are eating when they heard the knock on the door. Jack volunteered to open it.

"Mom, Dad." said Jack while staring at his parents.

"Jack, son. Sorry for what we did you. We promise to support you now." apologized Chris. Tears poured from Jack's face. The tears of joy.

"Mom, dad. I'm waiting for you to say that." said Jack and hugged them. His parents smiled and hugged him back.

"Come in, Come in." said Lily seeing them. They were entered the apartment shyly. Eating the food, the couples was surprised.

"Wow, Mrs. Francis. This is the most delicious food I've tasted." said Jenny.

"Thank you. Please call me Lily. My son and your son are friends anyways." answered Lily.

"Please call me us by name, then. If you want, you can work as chef at our restaurant. We will provide you a house for you to stay." offered Chris.

"Thank you for your offer, Chris. But I'm afraid I have to reject the house. It's already too much." said Lily rejecting.

"No, Lily, you should accept it. You let my son stay here and fed him. This will be our repayment." insisted Jenny making Lily sigh in defeat.

"Thank you, Jenny." she answered making the three who was listening rejoice. But before they could celebrate, Jake's phone vibrated. He checked the caller and found it was Jason so he quickly answered it. It was often for Jason to call and if he did, it was emergency.

"Hello, Jason?"

"Jake, quick! Go here at Unity Hospital! Jimmy, he *sob* He. He was shot."

"What?! We'll come!"

Jake quickly put down his food after Jason hanged up.

"Who called?" asked Jin seeing the panic in Jake's face.

"Hurry! Let's go to Unity Hospital. Jimmy was shot!" he shouted hurrying outside. The rest also followed him outside leaving their food and entered the two cars.

The three quickly jumped in Jack's car and drove fast. While the adults shook their head at them locking the door before following them using the other car.

Arriving at the hospital, the three jumped from the car and rushing to the entrance. They quickly go to the receptionist and asked where room is Jimmy before rushing to the floor where he was in.

They could simply enter the elevator. However, they didn't, as the elevator will took longer to reach the floor so they took the stairs running up.

Their foot was already shaking but they didn't care. All they cared was Jimmy.

Entering the floor, they found Jason sitting in the chair while holding his head. Blood was seen in his hand and his clothes. They hurried to him and sit beside him.

"Jason, what happened?" asked Jack making Jason stare at him.

"He blocked the bullet for me. He-he did it for me." said Jason blaming himself.

"It's my fault! It was really mine!" he shouted clenching his fist.

"No one is at fault at this. Jason. No one." comforted Jake.

"Where is Jimmy?" asked Jin.

"He was being operated. The bullet was being removed." answered Jason.

"What about his parents?" asked Jack.

"Aunty is already inside. She insisted on watching." answered Jason. Silence followed after that until the doctor operating went out. Jason quickly rushed to him followed by the three.

"Doc, how is he?" asked Jason.

"I'm sorry. He was only holding on because he wanted to tell you something." said the doctor and left. They rushed to the room and found Jimmy awake lying on the bed. His mother is sitting beside him, crying. She stand up seeing them and approached them.

"I will leave you to talk to him." she said sobbing and going out. Jason rushed in Jimmy's side holding his hand.

"Jimmy. Please. Don't go."

"Jason, I have to. When that plant's last leaf will fall. I'll go." said Jimmy pointing the plant that was dying and leaf continued falling.

"No, Jimmy. You can't." said Jack.

"*Cough* I have to. *Cough* Now, promise me. All of you. Promise me that you will never stop. Never stop until you achieved our dream. If you fall, get up. *Cough*"

"I don't want my death to become your hindrance in achieving our goal. Please. Promise me. You will never stop."

"No, Jimmy. Please. Don't go." said Jake tearing up.

"Promise me." said Jimmy firmly.

"We promise." answered Jin for them. All of them cried.

"That's all I want to hear before I go. The last leaf already falls. I have to go now." said Jimmy before closing his eyes.

"Jimmy!" shouted Jason holding Jimmy's hand. However, the hand turned cold. They wailed.

Helena, Jimmy's mother, hearing the shout entered the room. She saw Jason leaning in the wall clenching his fist, eyes closed but tears were falling from it.

Jake is banging the floor while kneeling. Jin sitting in the floor with his head down and worst, Jack who was punching the wall with his hands that are already swollen.

She then looked at her son. Her tears also began to flow out as she backed off.
