Chapter Three

When I finally get to the school I realize it must be lunch time. Thousands of students sit on the grass, at the picnic tables, and even some in the trees. Most are socialising or sitting alone by themselves. The buzz of chater rose around me as I parked the bike. I sigh and just know they are whispering about me. No doubt I look like I was mauled by a bear. I dare not look at my clothes, much less my arms again.

Making my way across the area of picinic tables, the group of gossiping girls, and the supposed 'Bad Kids' corner, I call it that because that is normally where they go to smoke off a joint among other things I dare not think about, someone stepped into my view and I instantly hated this guy.

He had hair of a silver bullet, long, almost to shoulder length hair. He wears a pair of blue jeans with a white t-shirt and a pair of tan boots. The brand seemed irrelevant concidering they were a size too big and didn't seem to go well with his looks.

"Hey there pretty lady. You must be new and-" I cut him off.

"Not intrested." I say bluntly.

"Aww come on. I'll show you a fun time" He says.

Rolling my eyes I hurried on past him. I couldn't deal with such an asshole in the first few minutes of my school day. There is about a 90 percent chance that my knuckles would end up being lodged in his jaw. I hear his friends laugh as I passed him and head into the building.

God this school was insane. All of the furiture seems to be made out of glass, except the walls and floors of course. If those were glass as well I had a feeling the bathroom situation would be a quite heated conversation topic. The lady at the desk finally looked up from her papers and smiled warmly at me.

"Hello, please sign in with your name and date of birth." She said.

I quickly wrote down my name and birthday. Then when I looked up the lady was typing up something.

"Ah miss Victoria Salem? Here is your classes." She said.

I gently took the piece of paper that was handed to me and walked off down a hallway. When I rounded a corner I stopped as I saw a group of people. There was two girls and three boys. They were surrounding a girl who looked rather scared. Her chocolate colored hair seemed to go almost to her lower back as she hugged her books to her chest. Yep. I will regret this. I walked over their way.

"Let her go." I said lowly.

Their chatter seemed to stop as they all turned to me. One of the girls had neon green hair that was in imense curls, and dark blue eyes. She wore a simple black thigh high dress that pushed her breast up a bit too far. The next girl had hair the color of blood. Deep brown eyes. She had on a pair of black jeans and a pink corset. Was that even allowed on school grounds?

"And why is that?" A voice asked.

I looked over to my right to see a guy with tan colored hair, hazel colored eyes. He wore a pink polo shirt with blue jeans. I starred up at him and glared.

"Because I said so." I said calmly.

I was always taught to know my place with people, and if I let this man get the better of me, well... Then who would I be? My gaze wondered to the next guy.

"Woah Rex... Calm down. You won't win against her here." Someone else said.

I looked over at the voice and stared. This guy had platiumn colored hair, with red tips. He was wearing a pair of white jeans and an indigo colored shirt. He wore thick black shades to cover his eyes. Is that even allowed in school? Finally my gaze swept to the last guy. My eyes widened slightly.

He had pitch black raven colored locks that seems to hide his crystal blue eyes and pale face. He wore a pair of grey jeans and a black t-shirt that seemed to cling in all of the right places. WHAT!? I mentally scolded myself. What the hell is wrong with me? I glared up at the black haired man.

"Either let her go or I'll gut you like the fish you are..." I snapped.

I smiled to myself as I thought of the beach like joke. Then the man stepped forwards off of the wall he leaned against and stepped close into my personal space.

"And what's a small town girl like you gonna do?" He said.

Ugh. A cajin boy.

"More than a stupid basin jerk like you would." I challeged.

His eyes seemed to try and burn right through me. Then the one with platiumn colored hair grabbed on his arm.

"Arick. Not here. Not now." He said.

"You're right... Ole' Arick's found a new... toy" Arick said.

I glared harshly as the ones called Arick, Rex and Jack started to walk away. The two girls glared at me.

"Coraline! Karina! Let's go. Doan like to wait." Arick said.

I sighed and waiting until the group went around the corner and walked over to the girl. She looked up at me with a curious gaze. She hugged her books closer to her chest.

"Do you have a death wish?" She asked.

What? WHAT!? I just saved her ass and that's the response I get?! I looked at her in udder shock.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" I asked.

She sighed as she regained her composure. I relaxed a bit as well seeing as she was calm.

"Sorry, it's just that those people are the Royals and they pretty much just do whatever they want..." She said.

Royals? That's what they call those pigs huh?

"Well I couldn't just stand there and let them corner you." I told her honestly.

Looking at me she smiled softly. She looked so much like a carefree child there for a moment.

"My name Kurami Mayumi." She said.

"Vicoria Salem" I said.

Her face went slack as her eyes grew big.

"Like the witches of salem?!" She asked.

"Kurami like the japaneese word meaning death?" I asked in return.

She giggled.

"Yes that is the meaning, and I am sorry to say you were related to witches. Aha I didn't mean anything by it." She said.

Smiling at her I shrugged. I had a feeling that Kurami and myself would be great friends at this prison of a school. Then she looked down at the paper in my hands that was my class schedule.

"Ah you have all AP courses... Smarty pants. We don't have any classes together..."She grumbles.

AP? But I never picked AP Classes... That's odd. Then the bell rang that signaled lunch was over. Kurami waved at me before she was engulfed into the crowds. I rolled my eyes. I guess I had better get to class...
