Move yourself, than move the world

Throughout the night, Gerald, Lazaro, and Larissa. Took turns in guarding the camp as they were the best with sensory abilities. In contrast to others who weren't even used to the nighttime wilderness slept away their exhaustion.

One hour before sunrise, in the thick fog. The dew filled air-inflated Lazaro's lungs. The refreshing feeling spread through his whole body. Coupled with the tyrannic turtle's heart he ate yesterday, he reckoned he had the strength of a Rank D beast, but he had to let it slowly transform and adapt his muscles otherwise, he'd just deteriorate himself and become rotten within.

(Not much different than your actual self then.)

'I'll put your soul in a cockroach, how about it? they're pretty resilient, if you evolve from them you'd be nearly indestructible.'

( I'll shut up.)

(But before, let me say this; You cannot exert yourself anymore, that technique you used yesterday, what was the name? Overload? Well if you use it again, your injuries won't heal as simply as yesterday. Although your muscles still have the quality of when you're were in your peak, it can only sustain a little more than the normal person. Like that healer, you must let your muscles slowly adapt and transform with it.)

'Don't worry little war goddess, I'll find you a good body to possess.'

She was angry with his wording but noticed something and grinned.

(You didn't call me Becca, are you growing attached to me?)

'Like a fly to shit.'

(Humpft!) She snorted at his denial.

The silence fo the morning was broken with the first sound of packing.

Lucas was taking down his tent and had half a shield on his back.

Looking him up and down, he hadn't changed clothes since the beginning, nor had he bought a domestic knife or other legal tools. Besides his trashed pants and dirty shirt, he only had the torn up shield.

Lazaro remembered what he witnesses and what was told to him that happened, he observed a little of it but observing him up close, the issue stood out like a sore thumb.

'Well, he deserves it.' Lazaro thought inwardly and laughed out loud.

"Boar, you're a sad case." His mock was evident in his smirk.

"Better than a smiling fool." A frowning boar glanced at him without flinching, with a straight back and steady shoulders.

Lazaro squinted.

"You have the right attitude so how did you end up like that?"

"None of your business." Boar turned his back and crouched to place the folded tent on his backpack.

A kick on his butt threw him on the ground.

"Piggy, Attack me."

Some who awoke from the noise turned their eyes to them and stared in silence.

Lucas stared up from the ground, his frown became one of confusion. For what he understood from Lazaro he wasn't the bully kind. He put his hands down and pulled himself up.

"I saved your life." He said somberly.

"I was smiling at an incoming meteor. Did I want to be saved? Rather, I just kicked your butt why are you still reasoning?"

Squinting, Lucas said:

"I have responsibilities, I won't risk my life with stupidity."

Twhac!

Lucas's head tilted to the side and his disheveled hair moved with the slap to his head.

Sophia tried to run and unch Lazaro, but Gerald held her back. She wanted to use her ability to go free when he whispered just before she could. "It's not what it looks like."

She frowned and looked, Lazaro wasn't smiling anymore as Lucas showed no reaction.

"I won't kill you. stop rationalizing to not act, and fight back." Lazaro said and stood with his hands on his back almost touching Lucas's face.

"Why wield a shield If you can use earth? Why don't you offer your thoughts and opinion? Why did it take the worst-case scenario for you to finally become active? If you had used your affinity with earth before the beast went berserk, you could've given Lila more shots to take, If you talked on our first discussion of formation, you could've improved the odds of our survival. Why is your hair so long? why are you so overweight?"

"Shut up," Lucas said his eyes were red beneath the shades of his disheveled hair.

Lazaro finally felt a crack on his mood.

"If you hadn't abandoned your earth affinity because it's weak and had trained it, you'd be a help with the same value as Lila. Again, you have the attitude and the stubbornness, why do you follow without questions?"

"Shut up"

"You're not dumb, I think you might even be intelligent. So why you act passively?"

"Stop!" He pleads with red eyes

"Oh, you know of this flaw? So why aren't you working on it? will you let ore disasters occur before deciding? Did your mother raise you like that? Wait for the very last moment to take action? If so, she's a pretty shitty mother."

"Shut the fuck up!"

"Oh?"

The half piece of the shield grew in size as Lucas charged.

Lazaro pulled his leg back and slapped his palm down in the shield and pushed it to the side. Like a train in a turning rail, Lucas smashed in the tree beside them and Lazaro threw the excuse of a shield away

Lucas stared at Lazaro as he got back up. For half an instant he remembered those small, scar-riddled arms strangling a tyrannic turtle to death and he started to sober up.

"So, your mother is your sore spot? But being passive also messed with ou so... oh, you lacked action so your mother suffered? What a waste of son, we.. to raise you she had to be a-"

"Enough! I'll kill you!"

Pure rage and will to kill the man in front of him surged in his chest, he felt nothing more, he didn't pray to gods as he did against the beast, he did not rely on luck, his overwhelming feelings of blind rage imbued on his intent and he let it out. He wanted a pointy rock sprouted from the ground and smashed Lazaro in place, in a way, that instead of being thrown away he'd be smashed in place.

He felt his arms and shoulders heavy as if a giant boulder was pressing his arms down. But Lazaro's grin made him work through it. The rock came, out of nowhere it went up, he felt completely empty inside and fell to his knees.

The dust clouded his vision and he regretted it momentarily, Lazaro was not common although his attack was weak he did try to kill Lazaro.

Thump! Thump!! THUMP!

CRACK!

The dust suddenly was gone and the earth he moved was broken. Lazaro took a piece of it. After examining it he threw it to Lucas.

"This is your potential when you let yourself be active and assertive."

Lucas took it, instead of the simple earth pressed together, it was a solid piece almost like wood. He looked at Lazaro in a daze who started talking.

"Pay attention," Gerald said to Sophie. The leaves around Lazaro vibrated with Larissa's essence. and Avilá and the others looked on.

Lazaro opened his mouth.

"Earth; is stubborn and unmoving, like you, it doesn't care for the threats of the wind, nor the nudges of the tide, it'll only move when an irresistible force appears and even then, it does not move willingly."

Lazaro's eyes peered down at Lucas dazed eyes.

"You cannot move earth by being passive, you have to assert your will and be an irresistible force. Whatever it is that's holding you back. will lead you to the destruction of yourself and those beside you."

Lucas looked at the now broken pile of solid rock in a daze. He remembered the sound. It was the same sound the tyrannic turtle caused when it smashed on his wall and tore it to pieces, Lazaro needs three of the same kind to crush only the topmost part.

'w-was I always able to do that?' Lazaro's image became a blur. His consciousness went away. The last thing on his mind was a Gigantic brown mammoth stomping bears, as if they were ants.

Lazaro saw an imperceptible yellow aura essence on Lucas mind and widened his eyes. 'Oh, quite the lucky boar.'

He laughed and held Lucas on his back, he looked a the people with a laugh, "we have a terrible day ahead, let's start it soon, so it'll end soon."

As he bypassed everyone with Lucas on his back, their eyes followed him. Each with their own ideas and thoughts.

Remembering his arrogant words from yesterday, Larissa felt there was a small chance they weren't completely unfounded.
