"There's nothing you can do now, pumpkin."
Larissa tried to get up when the voice came from the front.
"UGH!" She grunted as a heavy kick landed send the acid son her stomach hurling up her throat. She didn't have time to spit when a hand shoved her down on the ground again.
Her legs felt weak, and they already bound her again.
Liza looked into her eyes with rage "You'll get it now. I don't give a shit if you're his trophy wife. I'll fuck you up."
"O-ne- two- t-three-" Larissa counted stutteringly, A eerie smirk blossomed on her face.
The woman frowned "What are you doing bitch? Preying? Too late!"
They went silent with only Larissa counting the seconds.
A sudden faint sound of buzzing mixed with screaming came from the distance.
"Let's grab her and get out of here!" Liza ordered Lorra. Whatever it was, it was absolutely not welcome.
Lorra reached pull Larissa But a vine struck down.
"This bitch! Don't delay it anymore!"
The other came pulled Larissa but the vines held her torse on the ground. She was looking at them with menace
"fifty-nine, two minutes!"
Larissa stated and contrary to everything until now, the vines pulled her up, and bend in a shape that allowed Larissa to seat and rest her back. She did and her eyes turned emotionless sending a chill down their spine Her seat took shape as small thin thorns formed.
The sounds of screaming came closer, and so did the buzzing.
"Forget her! let's go! Staring at her they jumped backward.
A soon as their feet landed on the ground, a forearm thick green vine shot up from the grassy ground with explosive speed and enveloped the woman like an anaconda crushing its pray but instead it only chained them.
"I-It! doesn't move!" Liza yelled in panic after trying to break free.
"Release us you slut!"
They struggled and Larissa finally breathed with tranquility while resting her back.
"A vine this thick is composed of water and fibers, although it's not very good for attacking, it's too healthy to simply burn with your novice firepower."
Larissa said in a casual tone, and closed her eyes as thin thorns slipped in her skin with care, the bodies of the guards Lazaro killed were given to her friend to digest and now she's retributing by healing her body When the warmth came to her burnt cheek Larissa covered it with her own, she could heal herself now and avoid all the scars but she protected on place, a small, finger-sized burnt scar was left behind.
She didn't know exactly why she just felt like doing it.
It started a the end of her eyebrow crossed the corner of her eyes and slid into her cheek thinly. She gently caressed it as she ignored the curses of the toman in front of her.
She heard the sound of people cursing and creaming and the buzz even closer, she frowned. She planned to make the woman in front of her to suffer, but the situation did not allow.
"You're not supposed to have this power!" Lorra the redheaded said.
"It isn't my power," Larissa said, remembering the first travel she did in the woods of Edenlife. She let out a tender smile that slowly turned eerie as she looked them both in the eye
"My friend finished digesting her meal, it's time for the next."
Liza was crying right now, while Lorra woman stutteringly tried to intimidate "C-Cut the crap we can hear your stories later, now let us go, you'll die if you stay. This buzzing is from psycho honeybees! You won't get away safely even with your so-called 'friend!'
At her words, six tentacle-like vines as thick as an adult's tigh shot out from the ground in a wide circle. Slowly, from right behind Larissa a closed yellow rose with red thin reins gently emerged from the earth, it rose two meters tall and bloomed beautifully, with one meter long extremely thin thorns.
Larissa smiled and caressed its trunk.
"I thought you two would take me away directly or put me unconscious while traveling, that's why I was so haggard, but due to this pause fo your cigarettes and your unceasing chattering, I finally have a genuine chance of freedom."
They listened but couldn't utter a whole word. They couldn't help but stare at the beautiful monstrous yellow rose in front of them. and with Larissa seating in front of it like it was her throne, painted an excentric image and exuded an undeniable aura of pressure.
"T-This aura... ii-it should be at least at the extraordinary excelled Mortal state of being. " Lorra said, while Liza stopped sobbing and just stared in a daze.
Beasts are more naturally gifted in regards to level, someone at the same level as a beast would most likely fail and die in a fight.
A few bees came in on their direction, but two tentacles-vines slapped them away, they did not die but fear kept them wary.
"Run! run! find a river!"
"Where's Ricon and the others!"
Screams neared their site.
Larissa looked at the terrified woman coldly.
She transmitted her will and from the vine holding them, dozens of extremely thin thorns sprung. Sudden, like a bullet from a gun.
Their eyes widened. Liza opened her mouth but no sound came out as she trembled, feeling absurd pain.
"A-Gah- Agh." The other agonized with bloodshot eyes.
They felt a numbing sensation taking over them.
The vines retracted and brought their paralyzed bodies to stay right beside Larissa.
The bushes behind tore apart and people ran to her.
dozens of bees appeared, Larissa sighed annoyed by the unceasing crisis coming her way.
"Gather between the vines!" She commanded.
Seven people ran to her while defending from the bees.
They were afraid of the flower in the middle but stood around, they barely had time to think as dozens of bees flew above them.
The vines temporary held them back, eyes landed on Larissa as she stared upwards frowning. She knew these people as the ones who left with Ricon, leaving her own group behind. But there were around sixteen people on Ricon's group, but only seven reached her.
"Miss! Ho long can you hold them?"
" Besides Miss Amélia is there any other water attributed person here!?"
"We have to strike them before they flew down if they swarm us it's our end!
The Vines swatted away the bees that came too close but the bees would eventually invade them. And worst the bees seemed to increase in number by the second. they'd have to go all out very soon.
Larissa sighed, she didn't have enough strength alone, she evaluated the strength of everyone by the way essence behaved in their body, from Lazaro's methods she gained insight on how to feel the essence of things, she was sure she hasn't grasped all, but it was enough to know which ones would be useful.
There was not a thing they could if those things attacked them at once but those were psycho honeybees wouldn't leave them alone either. If they find a way to go around the vine tentacle they would, if not they would just storm it anyway.
"Earth attributed and other short-ranged ability wielders protect the long raged attackers and the flower in the middle do not touch the thorns. But remember the priority is to protect water attributed."
"Fire at will." Larissa found herself commanding and only noticed it after their attacks launched to the skies.
Sighing she got up and the vines that made her chair loosened around her.
Ten or so bees invaded, the six tentacles moved with speed and swatted them, but a few came through and were immediately bombarded by ranged attacks. But the ones that caught Larissa's attention was a barrage of three fist-sized balls of water, they formed midair and launched at the nearest Bee.
But it wasn't enough.
There had to be at least two hundred bees above them.
'Will I die, on the day I managed to slightly break free?' She thought.
But contrary to her mind, she was feeling weirdly fine. There, in that second, she understood why Lazaro lived the way he did.
As she smiled, the buzzing grew aggressive and stormed their midst.
