Stalker

I woke up the next day still exhausted. My head throbbed and my stomach was empty. I rolled out of bed and dragged my feet as I walked to the kitchen. My memory was foggy, What did I do last night? I rubbed my head as I opened the fridge and rummaged around for something filling.

I had left over pizza and burgers with cucumbers and carrots to make sure the human side if me was healthy too, Don't want to end up fainting anywhere. I chuckled to myself at the thought and put on my uniform.

I wasn't going to let the events of yesterday get in the way of a new day but there was only one problem, "Miss Howard!" I looked at the floor as my home room teacher scolded me for skipping yesterday and how I should have a good reason for it. Of course I lied, I mean who wouldn't in that situation, "I got a call from my Dad saying that he'd be home this week so I thought maybe there was a chance that he would surprise me and be there yesterday but of course he would only extend his trip."

My head stayed down, the teachers know that my Dad is a big businessman and is rarely home or in touch so using that as an excuse is a little bit of a touchy subject but it was better than getting kicked out of the school. My teacher understood and let me off with a warning.

I didn't tell anyone else why I wasn't at school and if they asked, I'd just said it was personal and didn't want to talk about it. That's kinda what I'm know for, not really talking. I guess you could say I'm a bit of a loner.

"Kaitlyn!" I look up to see Delia running towards me with her arms spread wide. I ducked under her arm and slide into the classroom. Delia fell face first into the ground, "Sorry D, not in the best mood right now." Delia bolted right up and was by my side within seconds. "Why? What happened? Are you ok?" Delia started inspecting me, Josh, Meagan, Dylan and I started to laugh, "I'm fine, just a little disappointed."

A shadow in the corner caught my eye, I turned my head to see the shadow turning swiftly around the corner. I couldn't see who it was but they were defiantly wearing our school uniform. Something fell though, a hair tie, maybe a scrunchie. "Hey, I'll be right back, head to class without me." I waved my hand towards the classroom and walked toward the end of the hall.

Josh, Meagan and Delia made their way to the classroom, I checked back to make sure they where gonad saw Dylan hesitating. I smiled and waved him off, he smirked and set off to catch up to the rest of the group.

I turned back around and and squatted down to pick up the hair tie. It seemed like a normal hair tie but there's a little charm on it. It looked like the same one that Axel had given me yesterday except it was blue, this ones purple.

Smells like mate. My wolf grunted and rustled around. Axel's been following me. I still couldn't get over the fact that he just straight up told me that he was me mate.

It went on for weeks, he'd follow me around school and to my house which was creepy enough but if he and wolf weren't lying, and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't lie about or to their mate then, he can hurt me. It wouldn't just hurt me but it would hurt him and his wolf mentally, see, werewolves make a strong bond with their mates from the first time they meet. Getting married for human side will make it stronger but doing a mating ceremony or even just marking your mate will increase your bond and eventually, if you're apart for too long, you'll feel immense emotional pain. Almost as if you're being eating from the inside out.

Since we were both 18, our mate markings will start to show soon but we're both seniors too. If he gets closer to me before graduation, my wolf and I will long for him, even if we get a little closer, when I go to the university in America, the pain will be to much.

I'm sorry for the delay!
