"You.." the man pointed at Ling who had gone to the land of dreams.

"Forget it, husband. I sense no evil intent on him. Let him rest and we'll question him" the lady advised her raging husband.

"Whatever" the elderly man flicked his sleeves and left.

The lady took one last look at Ling and left.

30 minutes later.

Ling woke up from sleep and yawned while stretching both hands sideways.

He got off the table and wrapped the cloth around his chest.

He walked out of the storeroom and saw that the old man he saw earlier was quarreling with his wife.

Was it because of him?

He felt guilty and quickened his steps.

"My elders," Ling went on his knees before them and bowed his head.

"I know my actions earlier were wrong. I really didn't mean to. I escaped from my home and got pursued by assassins. I managed to get here but i had nothing on that's why i entered your stour room since it was warm" Ling explained.

"Hmph! So what do you want?" the lady asked.

"To repay the kindness you've shown me,please let me work for you. I don't mind being a servant to the servants" said Ling.

The couple looked at Ling and sized him up.

Just look at his fair skin and smooth palms. How can he work?

"I don't have any servants. You can just help my wife out for a month" said the man.

Hearing this Ling smiled.

"I like it" Ling said happily confusing the couple.

"You like what?" the man asked skeptically.

"I like helping my aunts around the kitchen. It's been so long since i did that. Thank you.Thank you"Ling began to knowtow.

The couple shook their heads and smiled.

"You can just be our son," the man said out of the blue shocking Ling and his wife.

"What?" Ling and the lady exclaimed in unison.
