"You sure it's okay for me to be there with you? I can hang out with your sister you know, or even help Candy out a bit. I don't want to disturb you at work."
"Listen to me my love, I want - scratch that, I need you at work with me. I couldn't possibly get any work done if you aren't there. You won't be a disturbance to me okay. "
Azure nodded in understanding. The early hours of that morning had been heated for them. Of course it ended with the two adults in tears as they ripped their hearts open while declaring their feelings for each other. Trying to make each other understand that the words spoken the previous night were meaningless and how sorry they were for saying it. Eventually, they went back to sleep.
Azure however, did not let Grey get up before her. She stared a bit at his sleeping figure a bit before she went downstairs to the kitchen to make him some breakfast. As punishment to herself for her shameful act last night, she made just a slice of toast and a cup of coffee for herself as breakfast. However, she went ahead and made some fruit salad, tomato sauced eggs and some toast for Grey. She coupled it up with a glass of fruit juice.
She set it all up in a tray and took it up for him in the bedroom. She was feeling a little giddy and so rather than just give him a little shake to wake up, she went ahead and pecked him on his lips giggling to herself with a flushed face. That was definitely something Grey could wake up to everyday.
A smirk was plastered on his face as he quickly caught her before she managed to scramble out of the bed in embarrassment.
The food was amazing but then again, it seemed rather vain for Azure to think that he would let her go till lunch on just toast and coffee.
To be honest, she made excess breakfast for him and specifically told him what she had for breakfast, just so he'd force her to eat his own with him. Only he didn't have to force her, she was more than willing to oblige.
They took a shower together and Grey insisted that she followed him to work. Not that she didn't want to go, she just still felt a little more than guilty about last night and she couldn't understand why he'd be able to stand her presence for even a second.
She felt like he wanted space but was offering for her to follow him just so he wouldn't hurt her feelings, she believed her words were too upsetting for him to just forgive her like that and he knew she knew he knew that she believed it.
Finally, he got her to dress up and follow him to work. Since breakfast, he had been kissing her anytime he felt like it and she could feel her heart flutter every time he did it. She wasn't used to that kind of gentle intimacy.
She noticed how everyone at work seemed to fear him and gave her different looks. Some, she could recognize as hate, some curious, some surprise and other expressions.
He barely said anything to any of his workers as he walked by them, the most he said were 'good morning' and that was only to a few people. He made sure to show his possession on her as he held her waist and led her to his private elevator taking them to the 50th floor which had only one extremely large conference room, a bedroom of sort, his office and his secretaries office which was positioned right beside his office.
"You're so cold to your employees." She started as she placed her bag at the top of his desk and began wandering around the office taking in the beauty the office held.
"I have to be otherwise, we'd be swinging down the drain. That reminds me, I need to fire my assistant, where the hell is she. She probably thinks that because I haven't been coming to work, she can slack off."
As he spoke, his secretary Miss Crain Terry came knocking on his door walking in with a really scared expression on her face.
"Good morning Mr Corner, I'm sorry I wasn't here on your return, I.... "
"You're fired, Miss Crain. You know I don't tolerate tardiness. "
"Hear her out Grey. She seems to have an excuse. If it seems stupid to you then you can fire her, but hear her out first."
Grey gave a sigh using his hand to motion for her to speak up.
"Thank you Miss. Actually, You said you were coming to work just last night and you remember there is a pressing matter concerning the transfer of ownership from Lauren and daughter ltd. to you sir and I needed to arrange a meeting with them.
They weren't picking my calls and so I had to go to their place of residence to find them. That's why I'm late to work sir, it won't happen again. "
"See, it's a reasonable excuse. She was thinking about the company's benefit and that's why she was late. Are you still going to fire her for doing her job?"
"When did you arrange the meeting for?"
Grey chose to ignore Azure's comment. Sure it was a good excuse but he really never really listened o any of their excuses, he just simply hated tardiness.
"For two at the afternoon. Is that okay or do I reschedule it? I'll bring in your dairy for today anyways, so if there is any meeting you really don't want to have, we could cancel. "
"Okay then, bring it in in ten minutes, don't let anyone come in here in those ten minutes."
"Just ten minutes? " she was surprised, usually anytime he had girls over, he asked to be undisturbed for at least two hours. "That's enough?"
"Are you questioning me Miss Crain?"
"No, of course not. I'm sorry. " she quickly ran out of his office gently closing the door behind her.
He pushed his chair backwards indicating for her to come and sit on his laps.
"I think Grey-the-boss is extremely hot." she started once she sat on his laps.
He let out a chuckle at her term 'Grey-the-boss-', that sounded like some fifty shades shit.
"You're making me look like a weak boss, my love. I usually would've fired her from the start"
"That's not being tough, it's called being unreasonable." she leaned in and gave him a brief kiss pulling back when he wanted to deepen it. "You'll ruin my lipstick"
"Then you better not wear lipsticks anymore because I can't not kiss you. " she laughed out loud at his statement. "You are a funny man. I'm not going to stop wearing lipsticks just because you can't help kissing me."
"That's fine with me as well, you'll be the one to have to reapply it every minute I kiss you"
"You're crazy. I'm going to leave you to do some work, I'll just look around the building and come back later okay." she gave him another peck on his right cheek and then a kiss on his lips before she slipped out of his laps and walked towards the door. She stopped and turned towards him blowing him a kiss before she left finally.
Grey couldn't help the stupid goofy grin that appeared on his face. Azure was totally making him feel things he had never felt before.

Grey buried himself in work, he had so much to catch on to seeing he had neglected his work for quite sometime. He had series of meetings and not once did he ask for a break. He needed to work and as much as he wanted to see Azure, he knew she wouldn't be happy if she realized that she was making him stop his work.
Azure on the other hand had gone exploring but she was soon becoming bored. No one held a conversation with her obviously because they were aware of her relationship with Grey.
She wanted to go back to his office and play with him but she was well aware of the bulk load of work he had to do. It was at this time she truly realized what a useless person and burden she was.
She spotted a cleaner who seemed very tired and decided that she'd just help out cleaning with her. She wanted to feel useful even if it was doing something so little —which she knew would of course get Grey mad—.
"Hello, good morning." Azure started as she approached the woman.
"Good morning. May I help you madame?" The woman was shocked out if her wits. Usually, the women who tagged along with Mr Corner were always rude and that was only if they spared her or any other cleaner a glance. This woman on the other hand was giving her a polite smile and even didn't mind having skin contact with her, despite how sweaty she probably was.
"Actually yes. You see, no one wants to talk to me around here and I'm bored out of my mind. I was wondering if you could let me work with you for a while until I have to send some lunch up to Grey. "
"Grey? Who is Grey? And I'm sorry but I can't do that for you, you see, I would definitely lose my job if Mr Corner hears I made his guest do my work."
"He won't touch you or your job I swear it. Surely he must know how bored I am. I feel like I'm going nuts."
"Okay, but what's your name?"
"Forgive my manners, my name is...." she paused, she didn't know what name to give to the woman, sure Grey called her Azure and she loved the name but she didn't know if the name was for public use or just for him, for certain she wanted no one to call him Grey apart from her.
"Your name is?"
"Ruth. Ruth Pierce"
"I'm Mrs Stella Rosewood. I can tell you're a lovely girl."
The grin on Azure's face grew ten times more. She loved the woman already, by how hard working she was, she could tell as well that she cared for her kids and husband. She liked nice people like her.
"Alright then, we have to start working."
"I'm done here already. We'd have to go to the 32nd floor and clean up. I still have about three floors to clean up."
"Why don't I clean the entire floor. You go ahead and clean another floor. I'll find you when I'm done."
"Are you sure you can handle it?"
"Yes, I am. Go now before Grey says you're slacking."
The woman let out a little laugh before she handed over the cleaning materials to Azure. "You're good for our boss."
As expected, it didn't take long before Grey came down to the 32nd floor demanding Azure's presence in his office.
"That's the reason why I employed her. You don't know what she gets as salary." he was pissed that she'd go about cleaning. That wasn't why he brought her to his work place and he wasn't going to tolerate her doing someone else's work for them.
"And I really don't care Grey. I feel like I'm losing my mind with self loathing. You have no idea how useless I feel, if cleaning is all my little brain can do, then I'll do it. I'll run errands, I'll serve you lunch, bring you coffee and do just whatever else I can because if I don't.....if I don't, I'll be forced to think a lot and my thoughts are hunting.
Don't stop me from working please, plus the lady is nice and I had to press before she let me. I promised her you wouldn't say a word to her about it or touch her pay. Please Grey, please."
She kept the cutest eyes she could and pouted her lips like a little child. Grey knew he had no chance arguing against her so he just fell back to sit on his chair and patted his laps.
She took that as cue and sat on him. "I won't push myself too much and if I get tired, I'll stop. I promise."
"Alright, alright. You won't give it up anyways. You can clean as much as you want, and for the records, I like this little brain just as it is. "
He pushed the stray strange of hair behind her ear as he leaned in and kissed her. "I've missed you Azure." Giggling,, she smacked his arm. "It's been only four hours you idiot." she stood up and strolled to the door and paused.
"I'd like to talk to you when we get home about something important."
"Is there any problem? " Grey was concerned now seeing how serious her face was.
"I'll tell you at home, okay. See you in an hour for lunch."
***
Lunch had come and gone. Azure, with the help of Stella, ordered some Italian dishes for lunch and ate with him despite his desire to eat later when he was done with work.
She was back cleaning another office in a totally different floor when she caught two men taking. She wanted to leave but curiosity got the best of her and so she hid in a corner, eavesdropping and boy-oh-my, was she glad she did.
The two men had been talking about the meeting that Grey was currently in. The one Miss Crain had described as 'pressing' and they had apparently bought the favor of the head of Grey's legal team and had manipulated the content of the deal. The one Grey would read and the one he would sign would be totally different and they had planned it all out.
Once the two men left, she ran as fast as her legs could carry her. Seeing that her heels were slowing her down, she pulled them and continued running barefoot.
It took her at least five minutes to reach the top floor seeing that the elevators were full and she couldn't locate Grey's private elevator, she couldn't start looking for it when there was something more important to do.
By the time she got there she was panting heavily and finding it hard to catch her breath. She was sweating like a barbecued chicken but she couldn't stop for any reason, for all she knew, Grey could be signing that document right now.
Miss Crain didn't want to let her into the conference room, for what was going on there was highly confidential, but Azure wouldn't hear any of it. She tried begging her to let her in but Terry's answer remained a firm no.
Azure's feral side kicked in and she pushed Terry with all her strength, causing Terry to release a loud yelp in pain when she reached the floor. She flung a quick sorry to her and barged inside the conference room before Terry could get on her feet and pursue her.
To say that Grey was shocked would be an understatement. Azure looked like a mad woman with her sweaty skin, bare foot, scattered hair, and irregular breaths.
What was more confusing to him was why she was there in the first place.
"Don't sign those papers Grey. " Grey dropped the pen he had picked earlier on to sign the papers his head lawyer had proof read and and said it was okay to sign.
"Who are you!?"
"Someone call the security!"
"There's a mad woman in this office"
"Gosh, what the hell is going on here!"
The conference room had turned into a marketing zone with all the rowdiness. Grey's eyes were so fixed on Azure, he failed to notice when the legal head switched the papers in trial to put the manipulated one back in the briefcase but, Azure's sharp eyes caught him before they entered the briefcase.
"Freeze you bastard." she walked towards the middle aged man and gave him a hard painful blow on his face. She wiggled her fingers due to the impact the blow had on her knuckles.
"Silence everyone!" If a pin dropped now, you could probably hear it with the silence lingering in the room. No one with the guts to break the demanded silence "Azure! What are you doing.? "Grey was on his feet now walking in their direction.
Azure lifted the fraudulent paper and shook it in the air.
"He was going to make you sign this instead of the original papers, and just now while you were distracted, he tried switching it back. She tossed the papers to Grey who caught it without any effort and glanced through it.
He couldn't believe he was about to be duped like that. Apparently, the building would only be his for a year and in that year, he had to buy all the debts that the organization owned. After a year, he would hand over the building back with a sum of 20 million dollars to fund its growth and if he failed to hand it over within the first three months, he would have to pay 15 million dollars twice a year for the next thee years instead. That made absolutely no sense whatsoever but, it wouldn't matter the moment his signature found its way to that paper.
His eyes were filled with fire as he turned to the lead lawyer who was trembling in fear. He didn't realize he had been throwing series of punches at the man until he was pushed off the man by a security guard. The man was unconscious already and Azure was by a corner shaking with fear as well.
She had never seen him so angry, the way he beat that man only resurfaced memories she didn't want to think about. Tears were spilling from her eyes and she didn't feel like she knew the man across the room.
Grey's eyes softened when he realized what Azure had seen, he tried taking a step towards her but, the fear in her eyes told him to stop.
He turned to the security and asked them to hand him over to the police when he regained consciousness so they could draw as much information as they could from him in regards to why he would think to carry out such an awful deed.
He heard a loud bang in the room they occupied and turning around, he saw Azure passed out on the floor.
