The Artist Of Her Life.

Yang was so attracted to her that he even failed to notice when she had arrived and had taken her seat in front of him.

As Shi sat opposite to him, she was thinking about how to say sorry to him about her behaviour in the morning.

She was not prideful as a person but still could not ask for forgiveness easily or should we say that there was no need for her to ask, before coming here she had stayed with her family, the Li family and back there whenever she made a mistake her brothers and her grandpa would easily let go of the matter as if it was nothing, never giving her the chance to say sorry.

While Shi was contemplating on how to say sorry Yang was staring at her, he too was thinking that it might be for the best if he too asks for her forgiveness. He knew that he had crossed a certain line in the morning when he coerced Shi into taking a driver and it was only after talking with Housekeeper Ying did he realized how forceful he was.

After a few moments of awkward silence both of them lifted their heads at the same time and said,

"I am sorry Yang"

"I am sorry Shi"

When Shi heard Yang she gave him a confused look before bursting into laughter.

As Yang looked at her laughing he was mesmerized. She did not cover her mouth when she laughed like the rest of the women in the upper rich ladies section did.

Rather she laughed with all her might, her mouth opened as wide as it possibly could be accompanied with her closed eyes and her pink cheeks.

When Yang saw her laughing heartily and quickly took out his mobile phone and captured the photo of the girl which was then forever saved in there.

When Shi finally stopped laughing, she looked at Yang before asking him,

"Why are you apologizing to me Yang? Clearly I was the one who was in the wrong the morning."

Yang heard her and gave her a soft smile,

"Yes Shi you were wrong but so was I. So you tell me what is wrong in accepting my mistake huh?"

If any of the people who have known Yang were to hear him all of them would have fainted cause this was the first time that the words of 'I am sorry' were coming out of the mouths of the him, the devil of the bussiness world who bankrupted companies as a childs play.

Shi looked at Yang as if thinking over what he had said and then nodded her head indicating that she understood his point of view. Noticing that everything was okay between the two of them Yang decided to further ask her,

"Shi do you mind me asking you a question?"

Shi who was busy enjoying the tasty food did not even bother to open her mouth to answer him, and just shaked her head. Yang felt his heart tickle at her sweet gestures and wanted to pat himself on the back for treating Housekeeper Ying nicely as she was the one who had told him how much of a food lover Shi was and the best way to get her to answer a question truthfuly was when she was eating her food.

"Will you tell me why you behaved so erratically in the morning?"

Even knowing the answer beforehand thanks to the good grace of Housekeeper Ying, Yang still decided to ask Shi wanting to know whether she would tell him the truth or not.

The spoon in Shi's hand stopped mid air as she took in Yang's question. She could not decided whether to tell him the truth or not but looking up to meet his clear eyes she was unable to lie.

"Well Yang the truth is that I am afraid of other people driving me. But please do not ask me why I am afraid, cause that is the chapter of my life that I am desperately trying to forget."

"Shi I understand what you are saying but I would also like to tell you something, wanna hear me out?"

Shi who had her head bend down all this time looked up to Yang to nod her head. Yang who was looking intently at her did not miss her red eyes nor the water inside them. Seeing that she was listening to him continued,

"Shi you cannot heal your wounds if you are busy hidding them. I know that you are wounded and I would like to tell you that I am here for you to lean on. You can tell me all your complains and I will listen to all of them. You are the artist of your life Shi, Don't give the paintbrush to someone else."

When Shi heard Yang speak, she felt her heart move.

He was the first person after her family and her Mama who had talked to her so kindly, without judging her for her past, without asking for anything in return. The one who ofered to give her a shoulder to lean on to.

Shi felt the walls that she had spent so may years building around her heart shake.

And it was at this moment that Bao Yang became an important part of her life without him knowing about it.

And she also started to love and care about him the way she did for the people who were close to her heart.

She loved him, there was no question about that.

But she loved him in a way he had yet to understand.

Yet,

She loved him anyway.
