Ishizu POV
Getting dragged into the King of Hell by a black hand when I was just about to revive my student wasn't something I thought would happen, ever.
The next thing I know is that I am standing in a room that has green lights shining from above.
"My, what a handsome human you are. Come. Come to me," I heard a female voice calling me.
Now I know that following a voice you don't know is a way to lose your life, but something was different about this voice. It felt like a Genjutsu being cast on me. It made me want to listen to it and having no resistance; I followed the voice that called to me.
I tried to resist, but my body wouldn't listen to me.
Walking down the long hallway, I mused. This could be my mind space. There were a few pictures of people decorating the walls I knew of.
I came to a giant golden door, and it opened automatically to reveal a throne, and on top sat an elegant woman.
She could have been mistaken for a Hyuga with her Byakugan glancing down on me, but her flawless white skin, silver hair, not to mention the gray horns on her head weren't trains of the Konoha clan.
No, this was by no means a regular Hyuga, but a pure Otsutsuki.
Her figure would turn most men into slaves who would give up their life to serve her. Whatever jutsu she was using on me was sound-based, turning my body against my will, and soon it would turn to my mind. A mindless beast lusting and following her every step.
And while she captured my body, my mind, on the other hand, went through the Cave of Deep Desires. Any attempts to alter with it were meant to fail.
"You are the first mortal I've come across that isn't worshiping me as their goddess the moment they hear my voice," spoke the woman in a tone that made me think she looked down on me.
How... typical of them.
"You dragged me here through the King of Hell. Who are you and what do you want?"
I could see a frown for a second. She probably didn't like how directly I spoke to her, but she chuckled after that and before her, a glass of wine appeared from which she took a sip.
"What a... straightforward man. It was you who put me into this thing. When I felt my connection to that pathetic vessel break, I thought that I could never escape limbo. Forever being undead with no vessel to possess.
Count me curious, but I didn't expect somebody to break the bond that was placed on me so easily. Only a Rinnegan could do that. As for who I am? I guess I can honor you with my name. You will call me by my name, Yamai. Hidan must have brain damage since he thought my name was Jashin."
'Yep, definitely an Otsutsuki.'
"And what I want is you," she said before I felt my body getting lifted up and drawn to this Yamai.
"What are you doing?" I asked her in a panicked voice as I tried to break free from whatever spell she used on me. This woman was dangerous, and I had to move to survive.
I panicked and tried to get hold of my chakra, but I couldn't feel it. I saw a bed materialized and felt my body getting thrown onto it. Before I could get out, her hands grabbed mine and pressed me down.
"You'll give me what I wanted from the moment I got sealed."
Then she reached for my head and lowered her head where I could feel her breath near my ear. I shuddered, remembering the days I had to escape Anko.
"Just lay still and enjoy the show. I will make your time Heaven on Earth and in exchange, you'll give me your body."
Now I understood what she wanted, yet I was powerless. Just when I was about to lose something precious, a piercing white light illuminated the room.
My head spun, and I grew dizzy, making the following rather difficult to understand.
"Kaguya-onechan?! So this is where you are… or rather, a tiny aspect of you."
A silent conversation between them happened to which I was oblivious until Yamai smiled.
"So, that's why he could actually struggle against my charm and not fall for me. He is madly in love with you," spoke Yamai as she stroked my cheek with her fingernails before puffing her cheeks.
I just looked confused as ever, trying to understand what was going on. Whatever it was, I didn't want to speak up.
"Aha! So he isn't your husband as of now…. Hmm, will not interfere in his mission for your heart. That would be rude, but since he freed me, I demand compensation. Still, I need a vessel to connect to the mortal world," spoke Yamai before she picked me up from the bed.
"Since I can't take you as my toy or body, you will find me one. It has to be a woman and you better do it quickly since even though I don't dislike being here, Kaguya, on the other hand, will get jealous."
"Don't I get to say a word about this?" I asked in but a whisper of confusion only for the white light to appear for a second and humming while Yamai shook her head.
I didn't understand what the white light was saying, but I could guess and I was thankful that I wasn't getting killed here.
"Can I go now? My student is fighting a would-be god, and I wanted to revive one of my students."
Yamai waved her hand, and I was thrown out and back outside.
"Women. As a man, you can never understand them. Not to mention she is an Otsutsuki. What a life."
Back outside, my attention was drawn to the massive fox that suddenly was gone and I could feel Naruto back in his Sage Mode.
"Guess Minato-sensei had a talk with his son. This should be over in a bit," muttered Ishizu before seeing a blonde girl running towards Hinata's body. It was Ino, and she was crying.
General POV
Ino crouched towards the motionless Hinata. She hugged the body and shook it, trying to get her up. Tears fell down her eyes as she tried to wake the girl up. Nothing.
"Come in, Hinata. I know you aren't dead. You can't be. You are my friend. You can't die!" screamed Ino as she desperately hugged the Hyuga girl. Then she felt a firm hand touching her shoulder, and when Ino turned around, she saw her former Sensei.
"Ishizu-sensei?" asked Ino in disbelief. She couldn't believe her sensei was here. Why did he leave? Why wasn't he here earlier?
"It hurts, doesn't it? Seeing a friend lying on the ground. Not moving. Dead. It hurts."
Now Ino, like everyone else, had a hard day today so she couldn't think very deep.
"How can I live like this?"
Ishizu looked into the sky and sighed.
"This is war, Ino. People who you know and love will die. Now, any other person would say that this is life and you should go on, but I have another view of this world."
A smile formed on Ishizu's face as he glanced at Ino.
"There is only one person who can make everything undone. And his name is Naruto Uzumaki. Once you wake up everything will be alright."
Ino couldn't understand what her sensei meant before her vision darkened. Ishizu sighed when he saw two of his students laying on the ground. One was asleep and the other one was dead.
Hinata was dead.
Ishizu stared at her body for a moment before he sighed. He was angry at Nagato for killing her, but he was Naruto's problem so he would step down. Ishizu trusted in Naruto to convince Nagato that his peace would last.
Once again, the King of Hell appeared and a single soul came out.
"Live again Hinata."
Scene Change
"Rasengan!"
Naruto's Rasengan hit the Deva Path, defeating Pain once and for all. Jiraiya came running towards Naruto, who sat down next to the body and pulled out the chakra receivers.
"You did it, Naruto," said Jiraiya before sitting down next to him.
"Yeah, but the real one is still somewhere. I will go and talk to him. Alone."
"No, Nagato was once my student. I want to learn why he went this path of destruction and what happened to them."
Naruto pierced his hand and located Nagato before leaving. Jiraiya looked at Yahiko's body before he heard footsteps coming closer. Turned around, he saw it was Ishizu.
"Ishizu? Why are you here?" asked Jiraiya, who didn't know the man was not part of Konoha anymore.
"I helped out in the village and tried to come as fast to help Naruto. Seems like Pain is defeated and the village is safe."
Ishizu sat down beside the Sannin when Jiraiya turned to see Nagato's King of Hell appearing in the middle of Konoha and souls came out.
Ishizu used Jiriaya's distraction to cut some hair from Yahiko's body.
"Although you are just a body, you have the DNA of him. You will be the last Guardian, Yahiko."
"Hey, aren't your summons pandas?" asked Jiraiya as he turned to Ishizu, only seeing the latter gone.
Konan POV
Seeing Nagato using the Gedo Rinne Tensei I felt like seeing my friend again, but now that he was dead I was alone. After saying goodbye to Naruto and Jiraiya-sensei, I took the bodies of Nagato and Yahiko to make a proper burial and protect them. They lived in Ame and they would stay in Ame.
"Are you thinking about where to hide those two?" I heard a voice speak, and I saw a man coming out from behind a tree. It wasn't Madara who found me, but I recognized the face. A man that escaped from our village some time ago.
Before I could attack him, he threw up his hands in the air.
"Relax. I didn't come to fight you, Konan."
"You? I remember you infiltrating our village only to escape with a disgusting man who I hope is dead."
"Let me introduce myself first. There is no need to be informal. My name is Ishizu. I am happy to see that my student could convince your friend he would bring peace to this world, but I am not here to congratulate you for being the last of the Akatsuki alive. Or are you the last?" the man asked with a grin, and I was ready to kill him.
"Let me make this short, Konan. You know he will come after you for Nagato's Rinnegan."
"I know, but I am prepared. I know his abilities better than you," I said with a frown, but I received a smirk.
"Do you now? A man such as him isn't so easy to figure out. Madara Uchiha was a monster who only had one rival, Hashirama Senju. Who are you to think you can fight him?"
"Are you here to mock me?" I asked in annoyance. My paper shuriken were ready.
"I am stating facts. You think your abilities are enough, but you know nothing of Uchiha history and their abilities."
"This is getting nowhere. Tell me what you want and if you are done, I am leaving."
"The Rinnegan."
He dodged my attacks easily. How dare he demand the eyes of my friend?
"No. I don't care who you are, but those eyes belong to Nagato and I will protect them," I answered him and he sighed.
I believed him to fight me, but he shook his head.
"Fine by me. My reason here was to warn you and to ask for the Rinnegan; nicely. Since you denied me the latter, I will give you this," he said before throwing what looked like a dumping at me. I caught at and stared at it, dumbfounded.
"Have it with you when Madara comes. Trust me, it will save your life."
Before I could say anything, he disappeared.
Ishizu POV
Shaking my head, I left the scene quietly. It was a pity for Konan to deny me Madara's Rinnegan, but taking it by force wouldn't be beneficial to me. The fight could bring more trouble and I'd rather let her go without making me an enemy to her.
Still, she has done what I've wanted. I filled the dumplings I gave her with special nature energy that allowed me to find her as long as it stayed on her. This would help me tremendously when Obito arrives for the Rinnegan.
I watched from afar how Naruto was welcomed by the citizens, but he stopped them from taking him and instead left for Hinata, who was very much alive. Seeing my mission done, I left to prepare for the Kage summit.
Danzo was dead, and Tsunade was healthy enough to leave for the summit. Sasuke did not need to infiltrate the summit, but I bet Obito would still present himself as Madara and declare the 4th Shinobi War.
Another war, but this would be the last one. No more useless wars where people would lose their friends and family.
Hinata POV
It wasn't a dream. Naruto and Ino hugged me with tears in their eyes. The battle with the Akatsuki was over and we won. Naruto came and defeated Pain. And while this wasn't a dream, I couldn't help but try to remember what happened to me after Pain impaled me with the chakra rod.
Whenever I tried to visualize the dream, it wouldn't let me focus. Like something was preventing me from fully seeing it. I was standing in a large room. Small lamps were illuminating the room. There was a man with a robe standing across from me. He looked old with grey hair on his head. His Byakugan looked straight at me, but whatever he was saying fell deaf to my ears.
Only one thing I could remember from the conversation. One word.
Hamura.
