Izz pov
He sees me giving him a very unhappy face and slowly puts her down. His smell, it's familiar, but i can't make it out what he is. He looks away and smiles down at her. "Hi shorty, have you gotten even smaller?" He says with a grin. "I did not get smaller you tree!" She shouts back. He looks back at me, "who's your friend?" she's my-. " I stand up and interrupt her," I'm alizzine, Cleo's girlfriend. " She turns and looks at me with a shocked but blushing face. Crap, I shouldn't have told him my real name!"
I'm Chase Charmin the 3rd. " He says while putting his hand into a fist, and then on his heart. I quickly grab Cleo away from him and make my spirit sword. I point it at his throat and hiss at him." Your an elf, stay away from her! He puts his arms up and steps back, while Cleo screams at me, "Izz what are you doing!" She trys to run to him but I hold her back. "He's an elf they kill your kind." She's shocked and starts to cry. I can't stand it and make my spirit sword disappear, then turn to her and hold her.
She trys to ask what's going on but her gasps of air keep her from talking. I shush her and hold her tighter. I hear his heart beat faster as if he's sad. I turn my head to see his worried face. "Are you going to hurt her?" I say in a strern voice. He shakes his head and I listen to his heart and he's not lieing. I sigh and whisper, "Do you know?" He nods and showes me his hand. Elfs do that to say peace and that they mean no harm. I place mine ontop of his and he neals.
Cleo finally calms down but soon after falls asleep. I lay her on the couch with her head on my lap as me and "the friend" have a talk. "Why are you here?" I ask as I look down at her small red face. "I've been protecting her, since she was young." He says leaning against the wall. "Why aren't you supposed to kill or turn in all witches you find?" He gives me a sad look.
"I didn't know she was one until she was 13, I always thought she was just human til then."
"How did you meet her?"
"My father new the person who owned the childrens home, he would donate often, so I met her one day as I was waiting in the car and saw her sneak out her window."
"Why was she sneaking out, was she not aloud outside?"
"She was never even aloud out of her room." He sighs. I look down at her and wish I was there to take her away from all the pain, I will never leave her side again.
