Changes

Joe was watching at the side, he was amaze by how Paul handle the situation. He also knows what is the mind of Paul. With the memories of the late Joe, he knew what kind of guy his friend is. If Paul's strategy really worked, they would have the money to buy a birthday present for Marian. After some thoughts, Joe's mind shifted to the game.

After the referee tossed the ball for jump ball, Ashley tap it to Paul's side and the team got the first position. Paul dribble the ball for awhile and pass it to Ron. Ron already knows what to do, he's already in the three point line when Paul passes the ball and as he was preparing to shot, he was guarded by the enemies teammate so he didn't shot and dribble the ball and pass it back to Paul, then Paul dribble and attempt to make a jump shot but the enemies was faster than him so he make a fake, and the enemies bites so Paul was free to pass the ball and he saw Ron being open, then he pass it. Ron saw Paul made a pump fake and he readied his self to make a three if Paul passes the ball to him and Paul really passes the ball to him. Holding the ball, Ron saw the defender that was 2 meters away from him so he shoots the ball to make a three and it went in.

"Nice three!" Paul shouted. "Now it's time to defend!" followed Paul

"Nice three, Ron!" the other boys complimented and they run to the other court to defend.

It's the enemies turn for offense and they did well. When the brawny guy with dark skin dribble the ball to the other side he was immediately guarded by Paul, Paul is not good in offense but he was good in defense. So after he was guarded by Paul, he passes the ball to his other teammate, who also made a pump fake first and the one that guarded him was Mark, who don't really play basketball and only know the basics, Mark bites to his fake and he dribbles the ball to get near to the basket and shoot but he was shock to know that the ball was blocked by the high jumper player, Ashley, who was observing and following him from the start.

After Ashley blocked the ball, he followed a jump to get the rebound. When Paul, Ron and Babart saw Ashley blocked the shooter, they already position themselves. Paul and Ron were distancing from the enemies to make a run while Babart also distance himself from the enemies and get closer to Ashley to get the ball.

After Ashley got the ball, he passes it to Babart, who was already a meter away from him and ready to throw the ball to the other side of the court. When Babart saw that Ron and Paul was running and distancing away from the enemies he throw the ball like it was a tennis ball to Paul who was in front of Ron because Ron stops when he was near the three point line area. If the enemies catch up to Paul, Paul will surely pass the ball to him and he will really shoot the ball because he was open.

When Paul catches the ball from Babart, the brawny guy with dark skin who was catching up to him, got near him, he quickly passed the ball outside to Ron to make a three point shoot.

When Ron saw that Paul was quickly guarded after catching the ball he immediately readied himself to make a three and Paul really passes the ball to him and he catch it then he shoots and it went in without touching the metal ring.

"Another three! I'm on fire!" Ron shouted while making a three points sign.

"Nice one, Ron." Paul give him a high five.

"Nice shoot, Ron." the other teammate also gives him high fives.

After that play, the entire game was in favor in Paul's team and the last shot was made by Paul to make the score the was over. Paul's team lead by 14, by using those tricks of Paul they made a rally that made the enemy feel desperate. They also made different plays to make the enemies confused on what will they do next.

"Rematch! We need a rematch! Let's increase the bet. Let's make it 50 dollars." the brawny guy with dark skin yelled while catching his breath. He considered the first game a trial, now that he knew how these twerps play, he was sure that by the next game they will win. It's okay to lose in the first round but they need to win in the second round.

"Okay! 50 dollars." Paul replied while they give another 12 dollars to the referee. Paul also knows that the other guy was scheming their money but he was not scared, he also knows how they play so he has countermeasures for that. Paul always watch basketball games and analyze every team plays that the team executes. The referee just accepts the money because he was amaze by how these little twerps from his town play and he wants to see if Paul's team were just lucky in the first match.

Paul, with a serious face winked to his teammates. It means "be more serious, because it's 50 dollars". If they win the upcoming rounds and win lots of money they will not be troubled in where would they get the money to buy Marian a birthday gift. When Joe who was watching at the side was smiling when he saw his friend acting like that. Joe didn't know that it was his first time to smile because in his past life his face was always serious.

The influence of the late Joe him was obvious.
