S-Rune

Morris was injured in the fight too but he never expected to win like this, "Now then..." Morris stood up as he throw away the steel pipe, "Come out Kathy.." Morris shouted as he saw Kathy peaking by the side.

Kathy panicked, "H-how'd you know I was here?" Kathy asked nervously as she came out of the side. From what her reaction, she looks like afraid. Morris sighed and said, "Don't worry, I won't hurt you.."

"You begged for mercy in the past for Kevin to stop, I'm grateful for that." Morris thought as he decided. Morris slowly walked up to Kathy as Kathy took a dead end with her back on a wall. Morris took out his hand on the wall so Kathy can't escape.

Kathy suddenly blushed, "W-what do you want." She shyly said as she looked the other way, too nervous to look Morris eye-to-eye.

Morris stared at her for a while and whispered into her ears, "This will be a secret between us..." Morris silently said as he instantly looked back and walked away.

Kathy was overwhelmed at the situation that she lost balanced and groveled on the ground, "W-when did he get so strong?" Kathy thought as she looked Morris the way soo... weird.

...

Morris arrived at his house as he immediately saw Lilith waiting for her. Morris's left leg was probably bruised, that's why he's having a hard time walking, "Brother, what happened to you?" Lilith panicked as she ran into Morris.

Morris just smiled, "Nothing, really. I just got into some trouble." Morris replied as he patted Lilith's head. He walked away and went upstairs.

"Someone bullied you again, didn't it?" Lilith asked a question that made Morris stop midway. Morris simply glanced and smiled at Lilith, "Not this time.." He said as he continued to go into his room.

Morris closed the door as he fell down from the injuries. Even though he was injured, "I won.." Morris said as he smiled, his arms covering his eyes. "I can't believe I actually won." Morris muttered again. For a nerd to put up with bullies, "I really won!" he rejoiced like how get a lucky win from a lottery.

"What's wrong with him?" Lilith down stairs heard Morris' shout clearly.

Morris realized something and stopped, "About the reward I just got, how am I gonna get that?" Morris asked to himself when again, a new status screen appeared, "Inventory? seriously?" Morris was shocked to see another screen that he actually stood up.

It was an inventory menu with 8x3 slots inside of it. In one of the slots was a red-glowing rock with an inscription on it, "How am I gonna get that?" Morris thought as he began to get curious. He reached out his arms and magically, his arms went through it, "Oh, I can feel something." He muttered.

He took out his arms to see the S-Rune on it, "So this is an S-rune" The rune was in Morris' hand and it was an oval-shaped and the size of a phone.

[Would you like to open the Rune? Y/N]

A status screen appeared. Morris was doubtful of situation and didn't know what it might give, "This system has a game-like mechanic. Does it give me magic, or something?" Morris asked himself as curiousity filled up his mind.

"Yes.." Morris decided to use the S-rune as it shined in his hands and it slowly dissipated.

[The Skill: "Alchemization" has been achieved!] A screen appeared in front of Morris.

"Alchemization?" Morris was curious and decided on what it means and what it can do. He opened his status and he was surprised on what it can do.

Alchemization Lv. 1

Alchemization is one of the hardest spell to use because it needs to study the sequence of alchemy/chemistry. Once mastered, you can make from fire magic to overpowered guns. The desired creation will get stronger depending on the level of Alchemization.

The consumed mana will depend on the desired creation.

Morris smiled as his brain has never let him down. Morris is in college now and luckily, is studying Science & Technology as his main subjects. Since he was a child, he was always intrigued on how science worked and became the nerd that everyone from his pre-school to college knows.

"Alchemization is really for me..." Morris muttered as he opened his palms. "Alchemization" Morris muttered as he remembered the formula of how fire works and a little use of mana, boof... Fire appeared floating in his hands.

[You have genetically acquired the skill "Fire Magic"!] Another screen appeared.

"So that's how mana works." Morris was a nerd, he may like to study but he also like to play video games as a stress reliever. He played a couple of fantasy games and he knew how mana works, "It's exactly just like the games." Morris bitterly smiled.

"I'll open my status screen and upgrade my stats, this should balance it out." Morris was in a delightful mood. To think that magic exists and the chosen magic given to him was the most suitable for him, "This should be alright..."

"Oh yeah, I also realized that when I level up, all my stats are added by one." Morris muttered as he noticed all the stats he didn't touch was added by one and plus 5 from the quest - 16.

"You're kidding, right?" Morris was not the fittest but he has a lot of flesh than the last time. Sooner or later, he might have abs soon, "I just put a bit of strength stats, I didn't expect this..." Morris was intruiged on what the system can do.

"Even the system was alerted." Morris was shocked but he was calm, when suddenly... Ding dong. Someone ringed their doorbell. Morris' instinct was telling that someone dangerous is visiting the night.

"Brother, A man with an expensve suit is looking for you!" Lilith shouted from downstairs. Morris took a breath and went downstairs to meet a good-looking man.
