Qisat Hubin - A Muslim Tale

I asked my mom if the Zikr family called or did they message anything related to the proposal. Mom said no, they didn't even contact us after dinner.


I thought they rejected the conditions and do want to take the relationship. If this happens, I believe it happens for the best. If our relationship is not meant to be, then be it.


Allah always knows what is best for us.


My mom informed me that she received the call from Zikr as they accepted the conditions and look forward to the marriage alliance.


I was kind of surprised. I thought they are family with prestige. Why would they accept our proposal without compromises and the bride have put conditions as well. I thought why the girl with simple background has the nerve to put conditions when she has gotten a proposal from such a big status family.


I don't know what to say. I smiled at my Mom. I went to pray Magrib.


After praying Maghrib, Mom called Dad and informed them that the proposal came for Dia and she liked the guy and they are going ahead with the proposal.


Even though we live separately we occasionally talk. We sent him monthly expenses for daily living.


He began to comment on how reckless and foolish we are. He told why we didn't ask his opinion and just went on with the proposal.


Mom didn't say anything. She just said she had some work and ended the call.


She just smiled and told me it was nothing.


I just went to pray Isha'a.And did some work and went to bed.
