I let out an elongated sigh, staring up at the ceiling.
It was Tuesday now, and I was back inside the archive room, having looked over some more Triumphs. I had made it a habit to come here after my training with Mars (which was absolute hell by the way) in order to learn some more about both the Triumphs themselves and the Heroes who accomplished them.
"Still, what was up with that redacted statement yesterday," I murmured to myself, getting up from my chair. It was the first time I had ever seen something like that while I was here, and it was strange to hear (you just heard white noise when a part got redacted). Considering how redacting stuff works, I doubt there was any way for me to hear the actual statement except from the person who experienced it…
"Still, I'm not sure if I should, all things considering. Especially because of what happened at the end…"
I put the book back in the terminal, where it whisked it back away to where it belonged, before heading out the door.
Well, it's not as if I'll be able to meet her anytime soon, so let's just forget about it. Although, what could've been so important that it had to get redacted…?
I yawned, wincing at the bright lights in the hallway as my eyes adjusted. Now to just find Anna and get out of here for the day.
I pulled out Nymphy and went to the messaging app, selecting the conversation I had already started with her.
"Where are you?"
A brief moment, and then a response:
"Training Grounds."
"You ready to go?"
"By the time Master gets here Anna will."
"Alright, be there in a jiffy then."
"Affirmative!"
The last thing she sent was a cartoonish person doing a thumbs up, giving a wacky grin. I don't even know where she found the thing, nor why she uses it.
Well, it suited her I guess.
I pulled up the map of the facility (it was huge, probably about half the size of the City) and made a route to Anna.
As I was walking around, I noticed everyone taking notice of me, and whispers started fill the air.
"Hey, did you hear what happened with the operation? I heard he led the entire thing by himself and managed to get out of it with no casualties."
"I know right!? It's insane, plus he managed to capture the base without it blowing up, and capturing the enemy commander alive? He's got some skills, I'll tell you that much."
"I don't really buy it yet; it could've been a fluke. If he really was all that, he would've soloed that facility by himself!"
The hell? What type of superhuman do you make me out to be!?
"He also doesn't have any sort of combat training, so he mostly sat out in the back for the majority of the fight. Until he's up front and center, I'm not accepting him as out Hero."
"I guess you may have a point there…"
I felt a twinge of annoyance at the varying conversations around me. Judging by the way they're talking, I guess I've only been able to raise my prestige by about 20-30 percent so far.
And it seems like I have no choice but to actually put up a fight somehow. I scratched my head. "What a pain in the ass…"
"Did you hear about the most recent operation? It was a total bust, with the squad dying and a model defecting over to the other side!"
"Damn, wasn't that model one of the better ones? Looks like we'll have to take it out next chance we get."
"I heard it even killed its companion, the squad leader, in cold blood!"
What the…? I turned to the people conversing, frowning at them. "Hey."
They all tensed up as I walked towards them. "If the entire squad died, then how do you know all this? Isn't it just baseless rumors?"
"Of course not kid," one of them said, a woman with black hair and green highlights. "Another squad was nearby and found them all dead. The ATF would kill Models without a thought, so it's strange why one wasn't there. It's pretty obvious it must've defected."
"Couldn't it have died somewhere else, or retreated?"
There was a brief moment of silence before the group started to laugh, holding their stomachs as tears started fill their eyes.
"Y-you think a stupid Model would do that!? They're meant to die for us, so why would one run!? Idiot kid, get outta here with that bullshit!" The woman yelled out, laughing even harder.
"What?"
"Everyone knows they're disposable; hell, even the Models know it! Why wouldn't they throw their lives away so we can live!? You're crazy for thinking otherwise!" Another person yelled out, a man with brown hair and white highlights.
"It's always the damn same," I muttered out, clenching my fists. Why? Why the hell is everyone like this? Why is this so widely accepted!? "What the hell is wrong with wanting to live to see another day!?"
One of them finally stopped laughing, a dark-skinned man with hair as low as mine, as he froze, realizing who I was. "Oh shit, guys, it's the-!"
"shut the hell up," I said simply, and they all froze as I glared at them, anger starting rise up within me.
"There is Master."
I felt a gentle touch on my shoulder, bringing me back to my senses. I turned around to see Anna, her emotionless face looking at me. "Anna figured Master got lost, so Anna came to find lost Master." She poked me in the face.
"Silly Master."
I could only stare in disbelief, relaxing my body. "…You have really convenient timing, you know that?"
Anna shrugged and started to drag me away, quite forcefully. "Take care you all, Master and Anna will take our leave now."
"Oi, what're you-!" I stopped talking as I looked at her, and within her normally emotionless face, I could've sworn I saw purple eyes filled with absolute rage, before realizing I was mistaken, and it was just my imagination.
It was my imagination, right?
------------------------
I watched Anna shake off the umbrella as we appeared back on the plains, the sun setting behind us.
"Master, do you want to fly back or walk?"
"Walk."
"Anna agrees with Master in this instance," Anna responded, and we slowly walked back, reaching the ends of the plains before Anna started to speak.
"Master should be more careful when getting lost without Anna around. Hopefully Master learned Master's lesson."
I glanced over at the silver-haired girl who was kicking a rock along and let out a weary sigh.
"Also, Master, please do not get so angry on our behalf."
"I'll do as I damn please," I grumbled, and Anna stopped in front of me, her yellow eyes focusing in on me.
"Anna means it. We appreciate it, but getting angry does not help."
"Would you rather I feel nothing? It just doesn't make sense why-!"
"Master, it is okay. What Master feels for us is more than enough."
The fact that you say that makes it not enough. "But, I…"
"Please don't look into it further, Master. If Master is always kind to us, that will help us more than getting angry about it. So please, do not get angry for us, alright?"
I looked into her eyes and sighed. How could I win against someone who looks like that? "I'll drop it, for now."
She nodded before we continued to walk in silence for a little more.
"By the way Master, why did Master have that alarm set the other day?"
"What're you talking about? What alar—oh, I remember now," I said, remembering what happened yesterday. "I still hold a grudge for what you did by the way."
"Master deserved it. Deal with it." This sassy little kuudere, I swear-!
I decided to let it go. "I was going to ask you why you hadn't had a partner all this time again. I know you said it was because no one wanted you as one, but I find it kinda strange that you've never had one, considering how strong you are. Plus, you seem to have some special treatment with the Hands and the Director as well, it makes me wonder…" I trailed off as I noticed Anna had stopped, her eyes whirring in and out of focus.
"Uh, you okay?"
"Ah." She took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "Tinkle Tinkle Hoy."
The hell?
"As Master guessed, Anna is not like other models," she said carefully, as if trying to purposely choose the right words. "So yes, Anna is special, but it is because Anna is special, that no one wishes to be Anna's partner, not even Anna's most special friend from long ago. It is why Anna is…"
She trailed off, looking down. "It is why Anna is so thankful towards Master…"
I had a million questions I wanted to ask, but even I knew that this clearly wasn't the right time. I exhaled sharply, scratching my head as I walked towards her, patting her on the shoulder.
"C'mon, let's go, partner." I gave her a smile. "After all, it's not like I can do anything without you around; I would've died a dozen times over if you weren't around."
"Master is useless with Anna," she agreed in her usual flat tone, and I shrugged.
"Yeah, yeah, I know that. Keep telling that to yourself to make you feel better yah sassy kuudere."
"…Anna still does not know what that means."
I laughed, walking ahead of her. "See, you would be useless without me too."
"Master?"
I stopped, turning around to look at Anna. "What's up?"
She hesitated, before shaking her head. "Never mind, it is nothing. Anna will fly ahead if that is alright."
And before I could respond, she spread her wings and flew off without me.
"Seriously, not even going to offer me a ride?" I grumbled, continuing to walk by myself. "I have to wonder how she's special though…"
I laughed to myself, shrugging. "Ah, it'll probably get explained sooner or later, that's how these stories go anyway. Theorizing it is."
-----------------
I yawned, walking into the clubroom, the first person there as usual. Or so I thought anyway.
"What the, how did you pull that one off Hera?"
Sitting in his normal seat, Heracles was building stuff out of blocks again, something I still don't know why he does.
"Oh, hey Crybaby Hiro. Class let out early for me, that's why," he rumbled out.
"Damnit, I know ya'll don't mean anything by it, but I still hate it," I grumbled, taking my normal place.
After my ah, crying fit so to speak, I told them thanks for trying to cheer me up. Of course, me being a dumbass, they all laughed at me and said they would never do something so stupid like that (well, more like Prez and Pinkie said it, but everyone else laughed, except for Anna), and then Pinkie had the oh-so genius idea of calling me "Crybaby Hiro," and the rest is as you see.
Yay for friendship.
Hera just chuckled at me. "It was quite a shock to see you laugh, let alone cry, in front of us. The misunderstanding was funny too."
Have I mentioned I really love my friends? Oh-so much.
"Whatever man," I grumbled, pulling out my phone to watch some more episodes about the boy with the straw hat. I got through 2 episodes before looking up to Hera continuously failing to construct, uh, whatever he was trying to construct. He could never get far enough for me to figure it out.
"You know, you're quite bad at that," I said, looking back down to my phone, starting up another episode.
"I know… I'm not very good at building things, but I wanna be able to do it," he said as his tower fell back down.
"Any specific reason why, or is it just for fun?"
"I just wanna build something for once, rather than destroy it," he murmured.
"… Is this what we would call a flag for potential character growth!?"
"Man, you really make no sense sometimes."
I sighed, putting my phone away. It looks like the others will probably be a while, since I had finally gotten put into their group chat and had a means of communicating with them (despite both Pinkie's and Lachesis' protests).
I guess I should activate said flag, huh?
I took a deep breath and looked over to see Hera's process. It only took me a second to figure out what he was doing wrong, and I cringed a little bit when I realized.
"Hey Hera?"
"Yes?"
"You know that every structure needs a good base and foundation, right?"
"Yeah."
"So, what're yah doing?"
He frowned, looking over his half-made structure, with only a couple pieces of blocks attempting to hold up more than triple its amount. "Building, what else?"
Oh boy. I pulled my chair up next to him and blew on his structure, causing it collapse.
"Hey, my tower…"
I kneaded my forehead together, groaning. "Listen man, it's only common sense that the bottom of a tower should have more pieces than the top, you know that right?"
"…Say wha?" He looked dumbfounded.
I picked up 19 blocks, making a base of 10 blocks, having the next layer be 5, the one after 3, and the last one 1 to create a miniature pyramid.
"And when I blow on it…" I blew on it as hard as I could, but despite a brief wobble, it stayed firmly in place. "There, simple right?"
His eyes widened as he shot up from his chair. "Woah, that's amazing! How did you figure that out!? You're not number 1 for nothing!"
"No no, I think it's more impressive you haven't figured this out yet," I said, frowning at his response. "Seriously, have you even looked at any pictures of towers? They're built much the same way you know."
"Oh, uh, I didn't know that" he said sheepishly, sitting back down. "The only towers I've seen are destroyed ones…"
Do I even wanna ask what the hell he's been doing for the past 10 years? I sighed. No, not the time. Besides, who knows if he'll tell me anyway; plus, Caelus and I already decided to wait for him after all…
"Um, Master Builder Hiro!" The hell is this, the L*go Movie? "If you would be so kind, I would like your help with something."
He pulled out blueprints and laid them out across the table. "I wanna make a monument."
"… Sorry, pretty sure I misheard you, because no way in Hell Did YOU JUST SAY YOU WANNA BUILD A FREAKING MONUMENT!? DAFUCK ARE YOU ON ABOUT!?"
He winced at my words. "I would like to get started on it today too…"
I held up my hand. "Wait a second, you're telling me you wanna construct an entire monument in the span of how long?"
"With your help, a week…"
I had to sit back down, holding my head. "What makes you think I even know how to read a blueprint in the first place?"
"Isn't that what the internet is for?"
I glanced over at Hera's face, which showed the utmost seriousness. Man, this flag was more of a pain than I thought it would be.
I took a deep breath and looked over the blueprints, giving each one a cursory glance before smiling to myself.
"Counteroffer: We make one today," I said, glancing up at Hera, whose eyes widened at my words. "As a test run, not the real thing. We can make it a 1/50th model if that's alright."
"You really mean it?"
"Of course I do!" I grinned, winking at him while giving him a thumbs up. "Plus, this is way better than making this gigantic ass thing; it's bigger than the tallest tower in this city, Heaven's Heights."
[Note that Heaven's Heights is 900 meters, or 2952.76 feet, tall]
"Hmm, a test run huh?" He closed his eyes, starting to think to himself. "I guess that could work, just to see how feasible it is. It's kinda a shame though…"
I could almost laugh at the sheer absurdity of his statement. I cleared my throat. "Well, let's get to work. I don't exactly have all day, so let's get this knocked out in like 2-3 hours. Although, there is one thing that's concerning me."
"What?"
I scratched my head, feeling slightly embarrassed. "We uh, don't have anything to build with…"
Silence, and then:
"Oh, is that the only problem?"
Huh? "Hold up, why do you make it sound as if you have materials to make this thing at the ready?"
"Obviously not, but I can just cut down a couple trees, no biggie."
I blinked, frowned, then blinked again, leaving my mouth open.
"Sorry, I really think I've been mishearing you, because you did not just say what I think you said all nonchalantly."
"Uh, nonchawhat?"
I could only sigh in response. I had a feeling it was going to be a long rest of the day.
If only I knew that feeling would stay with me till the end of the week…
----------------------
In the end he really did do what he said, and managed to bring 10 or so trees to our designated spot, an unused field owned by the school (it seemed to have a lot of those, oddly enough.
I was sitting on said 10 trees, which he cut down with his bare hands by the way (seriously, why the hell is he so freakishly strong to begin with?), looking over the blueprints in one hand and a how to video in the other.
"Okay, I think I get the general gist," I murmured, putting my phone away. "Now if Hera can come through with the tools, we can get to work."
I glanced down at the blueprints again, flipping through them. The monument called for metal rather than wood, so we would have to cut the wood thin enough so it can bend, but not so thin that it'll snap into two.
"How am I meant to figure that out? Plus, there's the type of wood, since different types of wood are more flexible than others, so we might even be screwed, since I have no clue what trees he got," I murmured, glancing down at the trees. They still had all the branches and leaves on it (we would have to strip it of that stuff later), and the roots were still intact, meaning he ripped them out of the ground and brought them here, and it looked as if he only did one trip…
I guess I'll chalk it up to him being superhuman and leave it at that.
"I'm back."
I looked up to see Hera carrying a simple metal axe, resting over his shoulder. "This should be fine, right?"
"Wait, why is that the only thing you brought?"
"Isn't this all we really need?" He responded, letting the axe sink into the ground. "I plan on doing the heavy lifting after all."
"You know we need tools and all that to measure things and make sure that it's evenly distributed, right?"
"Uh, we do?"
Okay Hiro, let's not judge so quickly; maybe he has some sort of secret he's hiding? "We do, but let's worry about that later. This thing will be about 20 meters tall for the record, so unless one of us can grow super tall or something, we'll have to construct the thing while it's on the ground. Good with you?"
He nodded, and I continued. "Okay, so the first thing we gotta do is figure out how thin the wood needs to be. Since I honestly don't know, we'll have to, uh, what're you doing?"
I watched him casually lift up one of the trees with one arm and carry it over to the center of the field, grabbing the axe with his right hand. He tossed the tree down before cracking his neck.
"So, something like this then?" He grabbed the axe with one hand, and using the other to hold the tree down, quickly stripped the tree of its branches and bark before cutting off a thin piece of wood.
I walked over to his handiwork, stunned into silence as he handed me the piece of wood. I tried twisting it into the shape I needed, and to my surprise, it worked, bending perfectly into the formation.
"… Are you a prodigy or something?"
He shook his head. "I've been cursed with having only the ability to destroy things, so something like this is quite easy."
"I wouldn't say this is exactly destroying you know," I said, examining the piece of wood with wonder. "The fact that you were able to create this is amazing, you know that? I could never do something like that on the first try. This really is incredible." If he's able to create something like this with ease, could he also do more complex things, like gears or wires? Could he cut them so thin he could make paper, or maybe he could even mold metal with his bare hands with that type of strength?
"But, this sort of thing is worthless in the long run," he muttered, clutching his axe tighter.
"I dunno what might've happened to you in the past, but you really need a change in mindset," I said, tossing the piece of wood back to him. "Your problem isn't building things, it's assembling them. After all, making something like this counts as building too."
"That's just, just," I watched him struggle to find the right words.
"The word you're looking for is semantics," I said casually. "And it's getting annoying how you won't take my compliment. Take it already yah dingus."
"But-!"
"I'm not taking no for an answer."
I glared him down, and he finally relented, his face growing red. "Th-thanks."
"Good, now that we've got that all sorted out, let's continue. We'll need a whole bunch of pieces about 20 meters in length, got that? The trees should be tall enough, so there shouldn't be an issue. The bottom needs to be slightly thicker than the rest, so it can support the weight, and the top needs to be thinner than the rest, so we can tie them together. As for how we'll be tying them together, it calls for a pointed edge, so if you could shape the thinner ends into points, that would be just lovely. Any questions?"
"Um, you never said how we would be tying them together," Hera said, and I smiled.
"Don't worry about that, I'll handle it."
"If you say so," he murmured. "You're quite good at ordering people around, you know that?"
"Aha, well I've had some practice recently," I said, laughing it off as I remembered what happened over the weekend. Compared to that, this was child's play.
I left Hera to continue on his work while I went to find what I needed (which wasn't very hard).
I plopped down near some grass and started plucking like a madman until I had a pile of grass about half the size of me sitting down (RIP Nature).
Now comes the tedious part. I started to entwine them together, overlapping them slowly, eventually creating a rope about 10 ft long. I pulled at it, to make sure it would stay together, before nodding to myself.
"Man, this was way harder than what that anime says," I murmured, remembering the one about people turning into stone. I looked up to see Hera already done, having about 50 pieces of wood laid out, all to my specifications.
"Perfect, let's get started building this thing," I said, bringing the handmade rope along with me. "I'm gonna need you to bring all the thinner ends together and twirl them around each other tight, until you have it into a point."
He nodded, and dragged all the pieces of wood together, simultaneously twirling and crushing them together, until it reshaped into a point with 50 ends extending out towards the ground.
"Good, now hold it tight," I said, wrapping the grass rope around the tip (and I don't wanna hear those dirty jokes), tightening it with every go around, and finished it off by using two figure-of-eight knots.
"Alright, now the hard part," I said, looking down at the 50 ends. "This thing is over 60 ft tall, meaning we can't exactly hold it up while inserting the bottom ends into the ground. Luckily, I have a plan."
I grabbed the top, holding it down to the ground. "I'm going to hold the top part down here, so while I do that, I'm gonna need you to twist the rest of the pieces until it looks like a spiral. Once that happens, please put the ends about 2 feet away from where I'm currently standing."
"Uh, are sure about that?" Hera said, frowning at me. "Wouldn't it be easier if I held it, so it doesn't move."
"Do you really think I'm strong enough to jab the pieces deep enough into the ground? I'll manage somehow, so just hurry it up when you put the pieces in. We're on dirt, so it shouldn't be terribly difficult for you, judging from what I've seen."
"If you say you can do it, then I trust you." He proceeded to do as I said, twisting the pieces until it was in a spiral shape, which was the easy part.
"Alright, let's hope it works," I muttered. I've never tried it before, so who knows if it would work. What am I trying? Eh, you'll figure it out by the end of the book.
I held the end with one hand, clutching my key with the other, closing my eyes as I concentrated.
"I'm starting now Hiro," he rumbled out, and I immediately felt the end try to shift out of place, meaning it hadn't worked yet.
I concentrated even harder, focusing on my breathing. I felt myself start getting worn out as soon as it worked, but decided to ignore it, feeling the sweat come pouring out of my body.
Damn, why has it been so hot lately? Isn't it halfway through September already? I could feel my hands get sweaty as the end threatened to slip out of my grasp. The only thing I could really do was grip it harder, trying to wipe the sweat off using the grass rope I made.
"Hey Hiro? I'm done."
Eh? I opened my eyes to see Hera peering into my face. "Oh, you finished faster than I thought."
"Uh, what might you be doing now though?"
I grinned, letting of my key to give him a thumbs up. "That's a Hiro secret!"
"Ugh, you and your stupid puns," He grumbled out. "So now what?"
"Oh, I didn't think that far. I'm kinda stuck here now."
"… You know, for someone so smart, you can be quite an airhead."
"That isn't it damnit! What I tried to do didn't exactly go as planned." I looked down at the still end in my hand. "As soon as I let go, this will get flung upwards, and I can't move out fast enough to get out of the way."
"Is that it?" Hera asked, and I scowled.
"You telling me you have a solution?"
"Sure," Hera said, and grabbed my free arm. "On the count of 3, let go."
"Uh, what?"
"1."
"Hold up, what're planning!?"
"2."
"Seriously, what-!"
"3."
As soon as he said three, I let go, while suddenly finding myself high up in the sky, nearly reaching the clouds.
"OH SHIT! THE HELL DID YOU DO HERA!? DA FUCK IS THIS!?!?"
I watched the ground come closer as Hera carried me by the arm, and I braced for impact before-!
"Huh? Wait, I'm okay?" I felt myself get dropped gently on the ground, looking at the surrounding area to find it perfectly fine. "What just happened? Hera, what did you do!?"
"I didn't do a thing," Hera said before looking back to see the newly constructed monument, turning quiet.
"Seriously though, warn me next time," I grumbled out, looking out towards my handiwork.
It was a spiral shaped monument, shaped like a drill, except the pieces only connected at the top. There was enough space between the individual pieces that you could walk in between them, getting underneath the spiral. It was a rather magnificent piece of work if I do say so myself.
"We did good yeah?" I asked, grinning at him before stopping, freezing in place.
He was crying silently, sniffling to himself as he took a hesitant step forward. "It's amazing…"
It really meant that much to him? I looked back towards the monument, slightly biting my lip.
"If you're crying over this, then what'll happen when we make the real thing, hmm?"
"Huh?" He looked confused as I gave him a knowing smile.
"This is only a model of the real thing, remember. One day, we'll have to make that 1000-meter-tall monument together, so save your tears till then, got it? The real question is who might this be dedicated to, remember?"
"You."
"Now I'm not sure if you'll want to dedicate it to who you wanted it to be originally, but," I stopped myself, frowning. "Uh, what did you say?"
"I said you."
"Oh." It was my turn to be stunned into silence, as Hera wiped his tears and smiled.
"It'll be dedicated to you, Hiro."
"Wait a second, I dunno if I like this flag. Aren't monuments meant for dead people?"
"Just take it already," Hera said. "I'm not taking no for an answer."
Damn, way to use my own words against me. I turned back around, feeling my face grow warm.
"I-If you insist." I felt a pat on my back.
"Thanks."
"So if it's dedicated to me, what'll it be called then?"
"Why not just Hiro's Monument?"
"As much as I like the sound of that, let's not," I said, thinking to myself. "Ah, I got it!"
I walked up to the monument, and turned around, grinning before yelling out the name to Hera. "So, whadda yah think?"
"Hmm, I guess, but why that name?"
"If I'm gonna have a monument, I'd rather have it named out of my actual name, you know?"
Before Hera could respond, I heard a loud voice come from afar.
"Oh, there they are!"
It was the rest of the Hidden Club members, with Prez shouting out at us.
"Look, both Hera and Crybaby Hiro is here!" Prez shouted out.
"Hey Crybaby Hiro, how's it going!?" Lachesis yelled out, sticking her tongue out.
"We found Crybaby Master Hiro," Anna said, as they all walked up towards the monument.
"Damnit, I hate this," I grumbled, cringing at the nickname. Ever since Monday, they had taken to calling me this. "I don't even cry that often, screw you!"
"Aw, it's okay Crybaby Hiro. You can cry by yourself all you want later," Pinkie giggled out.
Can I tackle her? I might do it.
"Oh, so this is what you guys have been working on," Depra said, looking it up and down. "So uh, what is it? Abstract art?"
"No, it's a monument. Hera wanted to make it," I said, and Pinkie's eyes widened at my words.
"For real!? You're not messing around, are you!?" I suddenly got assaulted by a ball of pink, clutching on to my shirt as she looked up at me.
"Get off of me damnit! And yes, although it's only a 1/50th model though." I managed to get her off me as she rushed towards Hera.
"YOU DID IT BUDDY!" I watched her tackle hug Hera, laughing. What the, what is this preferential treatment? Why can't she act like this towards me?
"It wasn't just me, Hiro helped a lot too," Hera said.
Pinkie looked back at me before continuing. "I'm so proud of you, you're getting closer to achieving your dream!"
"Wait a second, why the hell did my contribution get ignored!?"
"Because you're an asshole, asshole!"
Oh yeah, I'm tackling her.
"Come here you little pink fluff ball!" I pulled her off of Hera and tackled her to the ground, rolling over the dirt.
"Hey, get off of me!"
"Oh shut up, you deserve this!"
"Master, you two get along great," Anna commented, looking over the two of us wrestle.
"LIKE HELL WE DO!" We yelled out at the same time before glaring at one another. "STOP COPYING ME ALREADY!"
"A monument huh? Who's it dedicated too?" Lachesis asked, looking it over.
"This one's a model like Hiro said, so I decided to dedicate it to him. The bigger one is, uh…" Hera trailed off, looking away (note, I am still wrestling with Pinkie).
"Oh, so it's called Hiro's Monument then!" Prez said, nodding to herself. "I like it!"
"Uh, actually, it's…" Hera trailed off as he looked back down at me, and I gave him a wink.
"Just a secret between us two, right?" I managed to say before Pinkie got out me pinning her to the ground.
"Alright, you asked for this then asshole!"
"Bring it on Pinkie Bitchie!"
"Oh man, I wish we were able to help out though. Stupid Student Council actually making me do my work for a change." Prez muttered out, pouting.
"That's because you make me do all the damn work Prez," Caelus let out. "We wouldn't have been so behind if you actually did something instead of goofing off."
"Well, life's boring, so I gotta always have fun to spice it up, right!?"
"I swear you'll be the death of us," Caelus muttered, and Depra laughed.
"I have fun though, right Lachesis?"
"I did have fun, before Hiro showed up. I like Anna though."
"I agree!" Pinkie managed to let out before we continued wrestling.
"Master, Master."
"What the? Anna, I was going to beat her this time!" I felt myself get dragged away from Pinkie, who stuck her tongue out, her hair a mess.
"I'll get you next time asshole!"
"I will bitch!"
"Master, we have to go," Anna said in her flat tone, and I sighed.
"Yeah, more training right?"
"Negative, a mission."
I got back to my feet, scowling. "Seriously? Alright then, let's get going then."
"See yah later Crybaby Hiro!" Prez yelled out, and I rolled my eyes, waving everyone goodbye.
Still, I thought as I glanced back at Hera, I'm glad I'm able to talk to him normally now.
"I'll see yah next time Hera!" I waved him goodbye, and he the same.
And thus ended his Second Hidden Triumph.
