Hiro’s Hero Triumphs PT.26: Triumphs of New: Hero vs Rip Off: Final Round

"Master, does Master have an actual plan now?"

We were standing around, in the shade underneath a slanted building (and yes, I felt just as bad coming through that damned portal as all the other times). I was in the center, pulling up info on our target, sending the holographic images towards various people in the center with Nymphy.

"As a matter of fact, I do have a better plan than before. Seeing how I do basically no damage to her, I'm going to sit the fighting out for now," I said before pulling up a massive image of the Rip-Off.

"So instead, we'll have three people deal with her. I get the feeling the three already know who they are though."

Anna nodded. "Affirmative, Anna will do her best."

"You sure about this kid? I don't really mind, but what happened to you convincing her?" Roberto asked, frowning at the image.

"I will, just after you three beat the shit out of her some," I said, looking at the last person, Beatrice, who popped her bubble at my words.

"Alright, what happens after we beat the shit out of her some?"

"Odds are there'll be reinforcements," I said. "Especially since I left them alive last time, it'll more than likely be those guys plus some others. But rather than waiting for you three to get ambushed, the rest of us will deal with as many of them as we can until the target realizes what's going on. Hopefully by that point there won't be that many. It would be great if we could knock 'em all out and take her by force, but I wouldn't bank on that option."

"Don't you think they'll be ready for us this time? Besides, we don't know where the enemy will be. For all we know she could teleport them in whenever she wants," Rosie said, pushing her emerald-green hair behind her ear. "Unless you know where they're at, there's a serious flaw in this plan."

"For the record, we already know where that Miku Rip-Off is." I swiped away her hologram and pulled up a 3D map of the area. "She's in the center of these collapsed buildings, with one upright building in the distance. Odds are half of the enemies will be in the upright building and the other half will be surrounding our Rip Off."

"Uh, wait, are we going to ignore that he called her Rip Off?" Reuben asked, and I ignored him.

"So, if we take out the ones surrounding you guys before she notices, we might have a chance. Especially since Anna's speed can keep up with her teleportation to a certain extent, she can capture her if she's weak enough. Plus, there are ways to prevent her from teleporting there. So long as you block her vision somehow, she can't teleport."

I swiped away everything and pocketed my Nymphy. "Anymore questions? If not, let's get this shit started! I wanna get home early today rather than passing out!"

"At least he's excited," Rachel muttered, and with that we started the beginning of what would hopefully be the end.

----------------------------

"Huh, where's that asshole of a Hero?"

"Master will not be fighting; Master has designated us 3 to be your opponents."

Roberto smashed his fists together, his gloves started to glow with power. "Besides, me and my partner here have to return the favor by kicking your ass!"

"Rob is right, I have to at least beat you up twice as bad to get even!" Beatrice summoned her 10 guns around her, all aimed at the target.

The Miku Rip Off seemed hesitant at first, biting her lip before glancing around at the nearby buildings. Her yellow eyes whirred into focus as she glanced around the windows, before relaxing her shoulders, taking out a lollipop.

"Fine then. You three might last me three lollipops, although I think it'll be more like 2." She opened one and popped it into her mouth. "Try to get me if you can, so you can get beat up like all those other times!"

I smiled, holding one of the enemies in a headlock, putting him unconscious. Great, everything is going to plan.

I dropped him and crouched down below the windows, grabbing his gun before rushing through the building, seeing one guy aiming right at Beatrice, who was busy firing shots towards the Rip Off.

I slammed the butt of the gun downwards, hearing the satisfying crack as I watched him instantly go down. Hmm, blunt weapon trauma might work best in this situation. Let's hope I don't meet anyone who's on the level of a squadron leader here. That would be bad news.

"Sir, we've finished with this floor in building A."

"Same with building B."

"We're also finished in C."

I nodded, crouching down before glancing out the window again. Anna was cutting off the Rip Off's teleportation through the air, throwing around dust and cutting off her field of vision. Roberto was fighting her one on one, with gun support from Beatrice in the back and the occasional energy blast from Anna.

"Alright, let's move now!"

"Right!"

I appeared up on the floor above, clutching my weapon tightly before glancing back down towards the battlefield.

"You're actually not half bad!" the target yelled out, swinging her foot around for it to get blocked by Roberto's arm.

"You caught us off guard last time cocky bitch. I'm gonna enjoy beating your face in!" He grabbed her leg only for her to teleport out of his grasp, appearing in front of Beatrice.

"Idiot."

I watched Anna shoot a giant blast of yellow energy right where the Rip Off appeared, exploding the grounded-up concoction into the air.

"Yeah, they'll be fine," I muttered before continuing onwards.

Besides myself, there were 4 others inside the building with me (the other buildings each had 7 since I had proven I could more than hold my own in a fight), meaning I didn't have to take out 17 enemies on my own. Besides, I doubt I could do that without causing a riot to happen anyway.

I found 2 enemies waiting by the backside of the building, I guess in case we came up from behind them (We entered from behind them while the other soldiers were distracted by our distraction). I noticed a Model on the opposite of me, and I held up 3 fingers before counting down.

3, 2, 1, now! I rushed towards the one nearest me, while the other model made 2 small explosions by his ears, effectively making a sound grenade.

I slammed my gun onto his head and watched him stumble towards the window.

Well that isn't good. I swung my gun again into his side, right into the liver, before he collapsed to his knees. I then uppercut him before smashing his head into the wall with my gun.

I sighed, looking over at the Model, whose target had gone down with her first attack.

"I thought you might've been screwed there. You were kinda brutal though."

I sighed, scratching my head. "He's not dead, it just took longer than I expected to bring him down. Is your guy dead by the way, his eardrums are bleeding."

She pointed her finger before shooting it, causing the guy's head to blow up. "Now he is. Let's go."

Well, that was… something. I glanced back at him before biting my lip, shaking my head. It's either us or them, but I still hate to see it. I don't particularly like dead people.

----------------------------

I can already tell something is up, but I haven't been able to figure out what just yet.

I watched the man (who I figured out was called Roberto) punch at me, his glove glowing with blue energy. I teleported on top of his head, kicking off into the air only to be met with a barrage of bullets from both above and below.

I crunched down onto the last of my lollipop, twirling the stick around my fingers before teleporting back onto the ground.

I pulled out another lollipop, popping it into my mouth as I started to think.

Okay, that asshole of a Hero most definitely told them about my limitations. The fact that they're limiting my vision is proof of that. The real question is, is that the only reason why…?

Since there was a constant cloud of every material humankind had made circling around us, I couldn't even see inside the 3 nearby buildings. If that isn't suspicious enough, that Hero is nowhere to be seen. He must be planning something, but what?

I dodged a kick from Roberto, only to need to teleport upwards as a barrage of bullets was just about to hit me.

"Man, you three sure are serious. Is there something you don't want me to know?" I turned around as I was falling to block Mrs. S Grade's punch with my arms, plummeting me back to the ground.

I just barely managed to teleport in time, sliding across the ground before wincing, my arms throbbing in pain. Damn, how strong is she? It felt like she was gonna break my arms with that punch.

"Gotcha!" I felt a sold kick reach me, causing me to crack my lollipop unintentionally. I skidded across the ground, teleporting upwards to slow my descent, only to see another barrage of bullets coming my way.

Fuck this, I might seriously die at this rate.

I teleported the stick into the dust cloud, causing a minute opening to appear, where I saw an open window in one of the collapsed buildings.

I teleported inside, holding my arms as the throbbing continued. "Damnit, can't believe I had to retreat like this." I glanced around, noticing no one was around.

"I guess no one is patrolling he-!"

"Seriously, how did she disappear? We didn't have any gaps!"

Eh? I had appeared right in front of Roberto again, and I couldn't help but blink at him.

"Wh-what just happened? One second I was inside that building the next I'm back inside this hellhole?"

I broke my lollipop, spitting out the stick. "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT!?"

----------------------------

I breathed a sigh of relief, hearing the Miku Rip Off's screams of despair. Damn, if I wasn't around that could've been bad.

"Is something wrong Hiro?" I turned to the Model, shaking my head.

"Nah, we're fine, just a little hiccup." I don't know how the hell she did it, but that really was way too close.

"Did Master do something?"

I continued on my way along with the Model (who I decided to call Fiora) and put my hand to my earpiece. "Yeah, just saved the mission from failure; you know, the usual. She might've teleported an object into the dust cloud to escape, so try to make sure she either doesn't touch you or has something in her hands."

"Roger Dodger, Anna will relay the message."

"Also, how many enemies have we taken out in each of the buildings?"

"We've taken out 10 in building B."

"Only 7 in building C."

"And 14 in our building Hiro," Fiora said, and I scowled. Could they have more people in this building for some reason? Or could it be that they just have more people in each of the buildings in general?

"Okay, we'll stick to the plan as normal. It doesn't matter how many people there are in each building, so long as we take them all out."

"Yes sir!"

Still, that doesn't mean I don't have a bad feeling about all this…

--------------------------------

"Alright, just the top of the building left," I said, looking back at the 4 squad members. It was Rebecca and her partner Fiora along with Reuben and his partner, who I decided to call Grace.

"On 3; 1, 2, 3!" We rushed out into the open, the sun blazing down onto us and our large group of adversaries.

"I count 11 in total Hiro," Fiora said, and I clicked my tongue.

"Damn, looks like I was right."

Standing in the center of the group of 11 was none other than the squadron leader I had beaten yesterday, the old man.

"Well, looks like I'm lucky. I figured you would've planned something like this, but it's my luck that you decided on this building today."

"Shit, I thought I took you out already. When are you gonna learn old man?" I said, feeling my hand start to shake.

I'm fucked if he still has that energy armor. I doubt us 5 would stand a chance against him if he does.

"I already know what you're thinking, and no, I don't have it. Such a shame too. I'm rather curious how you would've handled it without that cheap trick."

He took off his jacket, revealing a body jacked with muscles, despite his older age. He put on brass knuckles, glowing to life as green energy encompassed them.

"You all can take the small fry, I'll handle this upstart Hero."

"Are you sure sir? His threat level has been upped from 10 to 6!"

Huh? The hell is that meant to mean? I'm not a monster.

"I know, but I'll be fine." He started to walk over to me, glaring me down. "After all, despite his feat the other day, I doubt he's very strong."

I glanced back at the four behind me. "Can you handle 10 of them?"

"Please, of course we can, who do you think we are?" Reuben snorted, and everyone else nodded in agreement.

"Alright, I'll handle gramps over here."

I walked up to him, frowning as I noticed he was taller than me by about 5 inches.

"What do you call yourself, young hero?"

I stopped, smiling at him. "You can call me Hiro, spelled with an I instead of an E."

"Hmph!" He slammed his knuckles together, causing a crackle of energy to dissipate into the air. "In all my years of service, I have never had the pleasure of facing a Hero in battle. Please, at least try to entertain this old man.

"I am called Christopher, and let my name be the last thing you utter in this life."

I put up my arm to block a punch that sent me sliding across the roof, and I felt it throb with pain as it immediately started to turn purple.

I wasn't even able to see that, how fast is this old dude?

I dropped my left arm and gritted my teeth, clutching my blunt weapon with my right.

"Is that all you got? As I thought, you aren't even worth any time at all." He rushed to me again, and I sidestepped his punch, twirling around to hit the gun into his face, which caused him to stumble back.

Good, let's keep it up Hiro. I kicked him into the stomach, only for him to grab it.

"Uh, what?"

I felt myself get picked up and thrown in the opposite direction, hurtling towards the edge.

"SHIT! WHY IS THIS OLD DUDE SO FUCKING STRONG!?"

I slammed my gun into the roof, causing it to crack and shatter as it slowed me down.

Seriously though? You would think an energy gun wouldn't break that easily, even if I had been using it like a blunt weapon.

"I see you're not too bad. Then again, if you couldn't save yourself from that, then you have no right being a Hero."

I appeared in front of him, using all of my body weight to land a right hook into his face. He stumbled backwards, holding his nose at it bled.

"I see, you have some kind of special ability like those other Heroes. Teleportation maybe? Or could it be super speed?"

"Doesn't matter, I'm still gonna kick your ass." I flicked him off, and he chuckled.

"Yes, you act just like those rambunctious teenagers you see these days; rude with no respect."

"I take pride in that gramps!" I appeared behind him, kicking the back of his head while he was stooped over.

I appeared about 10 ft back, scowling as I realized I only grazed him.

He stood back up, cracking his neck before looking towards me. "At the very least, you know how to fight."

Okay, think Hiro, how the hell am I beating him. I can't take any body or head shots from this guy; I might die if I do. My only weapon got destroyed, and there really isn't anything around I can use as one either.

Wait, unless…

I ran towards him, dodging a kick before hitting his side with my elbow, and I heard him grown in pain as I hit him square in the liver.

"Y-you br-!"

I cut him off by poking both his eyes, and while he was distracted from the pain, ran back towards the broken gun.

"Alright, where are you? Gotta find this quickly or else-!"

I tensed up and blocked a kick coming from my right, sending me skidding across the rooftop before I managed to stop myself.

I coughed, my right arm throbbing with the same pain as my left. I had gotten cuts and scratches from the roof, and I felt various bruises all over my body; it was honestly a miracle I hadn't broken anything yet.

I attempted to get back to my feet, only for the world to start spinning around.

"S-seriously? 2 hits and I'm already this hurt?" I shook my head, seeing through my spinning vision. Christopher was rushing towards me full force, and I gritted my teeth as I rushed towards him as well.

"You must wanna die then Hiro! Fine then, let it be a lesson learned to you in the afterlife!"

I ducked underneath his tackle and crashed into him full force, causing us to become a mess of body parts.

He managed to get on top of me, slamming my head into the ground, causing my vision to briefly black out before returning again.

"Ugh, you sure are a rough one," I mumbled.

"Well, looks like I win then," He said, and I grinned, opening my mouth.

"Nah, I win."

His eyes widened as he saw what I had. "You, you're crazy! Are you trying to kill us both!?"

"Fine by me!" I yelled, starting to laugh as I crunched down onto the energy capsule.

-----------------------------

BOOOOOOM!

I froze, turning towards the bright blue light that appeared at the top of one of the collapsed buildings.

"I knew it, you were planning something!" I turned around to look back at the other 3, but they seemed even more shocked than I was.

"Th-the hell did he just do? What is he thinking!?"

Huh? Wait, that wasn't a part of the plan?

I shook my head. No, enough about that, I gotta get outta here while they're distracted.

I teleported up into the air, glancing at Mrs. S Grade, whose eyes were going crazy as she stared at the bright blue light.

Not my problem, I thought, and I felt a twinge inside my heart.

I finished my lollipop and teleported it into the dust cloud, creating an opening where I teleported away, hearing her utter one last thing:

"H-Hiro…?"
