Hiro’s Hero Triumphs FINALE: Triumphs of Blue: Acceptance

"Master, where is Master going?"

I ignored Anna, storming through the hallways as I made my way back to the archive room. I got a couple stares, but most quickly averted their gaze as soon as they saw my face.

Actually, what kinda face am I making?

I stopped in front of a window, Anna bumping into me as I did so. Hmm, I look royally pissed. Sounds about right.

"Master?"

I once again ignored her, continuing on my way, pulling out Nymphy.

"Whatcha need bossman?"

"Contact Charlotte for me and tell her to get me these 3 things," I responded, picking out the 3 sets of items I needed. "After that, tell her to meet me in the archive room ASAP."

"You got it! Wanna save her Hephy number so to set up chat functionality?"

"Whatever works best for you."

She giggled. "Alrighty, I'll do all that. I'll let you know when I get a response!"

"Master!"

I stopped in front of the door to the Archive room, looking back at Anna. That was the first time she had raised her voice so loudly, let alone with how pissed she sounded.

"Is something wrong?"

"Master, please calm down. Master is being rash right now, even Anna can see it."

Am I really? "Don't worry about it, I already have a plan."

"Is it like all the other plans to put Master in danger!?"

I scowled. "It's part of the damn job description, what more are you asking!?"

"Does Master seriously plan on trying to take on that Snow Beast today? Anna does not see a feasible way of Master killing it."

"Who the hell said I was doing it today? I'm not stupid," I said. "Who do you think I am? I already know that I'm not super human."

Anna tilted her head, a slight frown on her otherwise emotionless face. "But, why does Master seem so angry?"

"Because I am pissed! ROYALLY FUCKING PISSED! WHO THE HELL DOES THAT ASSHOLE THINK HE IS, PULLING A STUNT LIKE THAT!? HOW DARE HE TRY TO MANIPULATE ME, THE FUCKING BASTARD!" I knew people were starting to congregate, but I didn't care. "I WANNA RIP HIS HEAD OFF! HE WENT TOO DAMN FAR TO BRING THAT UP!"

Anna remained silent, taken aback from my sudden outburst.

"But, you know what!? In the end, I need to do this, otherwise I won't get any damn rest! I'm so fucking tired of it, day in and day out, always haunting me in my damn sleep, I'm just done!"

"M-Master…?"

I took a shaky breath, opening up the archive room. "In any case, I'm not going after the stupid thing today, I'm doing it tomorrow in the afternoon. That should be more than enough time to prepare."

I walked into the archive room, going to the first terminal I saw.

"Give me the record on how the 99th Hero died."

"That is sadly classified from you sir Hero."

I clicked my tongue. "Fine then, give me any damn details on the thing that killed her."

"That should work, just a moment."

"Master, what do you mean about sleep?"

I scratched my head, sighing. I figured I couldn't keep it a secret from her for long, but I was so close to her never knowing.

"I'll tell you when Charlotte gets here. After all, since she's shacking up at our house, it means that she's a de facto partner of ours."

"De…facto?"

I whirled around to Anna, staring at her. "You don't know what that means, yet you know antiquated terms like Rodger Dodger?"

"Anna only knows these terms because-"

"Because of the previous Hero, I know. What a strange person," I muttered. "It basically means in fact, or in effect."

"Here you are sir Hero, all the information we have on the beast."

I grabbed the slab of tech, which was basically just used to store information (pretty sure it was called Stausis, a play off of stasis).

I started to walk away before pausing, turning to Anna. "Hey Anna, can you access the 99th's Hero's death?"

She stopped, clenching her fist. "Anna would prefer not too."

Ah, that was stupid. "M-my bad, I wasn't thinking."

"Besides, the terminal would not let anyone access it so long as Master is in the room. The AI is smart."

"The lass is right sir Hero. Many people have already tried that tactic."

Damn, should've known. "It's fine then, let's just find a seat."

We sat down at a nearby table as I put down the Stausis, activating it.

"Heya Hiro, Charlotte responded and said she's almost here! I also added her number at my disgression."

"Good job Nympy. You're real reliable, yah know that?"

She giggled. "Oh stop it you. I'm just doing my job! Anyway, if you need anything else just give me a shout!"

I let out a small smile. "Will do."

She's way too cute to be an AI damnit.

I looked up at the holographic information, swiping through them. "Let's see, race, nah. Uh, the hell is this? Mythical Beastology? That's a thing? But no, I don't need it." Wait, would Raijin classify as a Mythical Beast? Would I find records of him if I went searching? How have I not done that yet? Am I seriously so used to this damn city that I wouldn't even research having a giant bird I can call at will and can change its size?

"Master, back on track please."

"Ah, right, sorry about that. Um, special characteristics? I'll take a look at that later. Aha, here it is!"

I stopped swiping, looking at the folder called Basic Characteristics. "Here we go, let's take a looksie."

"Oi, there you are Hiro. Seriously, why'd you make me get all this stuff anyway? Why'd you need it?"

Anna and I turned to Charlotte, who arrived with a bag of the stuff I asked for. "That's because it would be out of my way. I would have to walk past the archive room and go to the opposite side of the damn base. I'd rather not."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. There are fast Vulk's for a reason, and you would be able to use the high class ones that only the Hero, Director, and the Hands would be able to use."

I wrinkled my nose in disgust. "Ugh, I hate those things. Makes me feel sick. I went on it once and it gave me worse sickness than going through a damn portal. I'd rather walk or use any of the other transportation they have here."

She tossed the bag at me, shrugging. "Fine, suit yourself. Anyway, what's the big deal? You seem to be in a rush."

She plopped down next to Anna, leaning back in the chair.

I looked at the both of them, hesitating before taking a deep breath. It'll be fine, don't worry about it.

"I, I have something to tell you both. I wanted Charlotte to know too since she's going to be helping us in the future, and there's really no reason to hide it from anyone."

"Oi, seriously, what happened? You act like you're about to die or something," Charlotte muttered, putting a lollipop in her mouth.

"Master?"

"Well, I guess I'll start with the dream…"

-----------------------------

Warmth, it always starts with warmth…

Laughter, playfulness, hugs and kisses, but always an overwhelming sense of warmth.

Playing together, laughing together, having fun together, always having fun together.

Pranks, playful ones, jokes, always teasing ones, and so, so much warmth.

She was like a sun, the brightest source of warmth.

She was stern, but never harsh, and steered me right. She knew when it was time for play and time for work, but always, always had time for me…

Warmth fades with time however, but still held close to me. She was there, but sometimes she wouldn't be, but her warmth still remained.

Bright lights, a green tree, and a star that was warmed by her light.

She was always so warm, even right up to the very end.

That was when it started to get cold…

It wasn't even noticeable, as she was always there, but it continued to encroach onto me, always there, waiting.

Until that day, an awful day…

And that was when the cold truly came in.

Gone were the fun moments, the laughter, the playful moments, the jokes, the pranks, it was snuffed out.

But, that wasn't all.

That was when I saw it.

It brought harshness, pain, sorrow, grief, the antithesis of everything she stood for.

All it brought me was despair.

She was so warm, even until the end.

The blood that flowed from her body warmed me, scarred me, frightened me, but most importantly, it pained me.

And it roared its mighty roar, covering the last of her warmth in a pile of snow.

She was gone, the warmth that I held so close to me. The warmth her blood gave me caked over, starting to ebb away at me.

It scares me, as it looms over everything, darkening the light that accompanied her warmth. It took, and took, and took, and took.

And it would've taken me too…

But right when it would've, I wake up.

The smell of blood still lingers from my dream, covers me, only for me to realize that it's sweat that covers me, not blood.

Either way, it still makes me cold and shudder.

Again and again and again, over and over, each and every night since I remembered.

I can't sleep after that.

All I'm left with, is the cold brought about by her absent warmth.

And to this day…

--------------------------------

"I'm, scared…"

I started to shake, remembering the horrible beast that came and ended up changing my life for the worst.

That gut-wrenching roar that bites and tears at your very being.

I was afraid. Completely and utterly afraid.

"So, for weeks now, I haven't been able to sleep. It's been eluding me for so long…" I tapped on the folder, looking at the beast fully.

"But, that's about to change."

I slammed my fist onto the table, glaring at the thing that took away what was precious to me.

"I'll kill this motherfucker, and avenge my mom. I don't even care about avenging the 99th hero; that's just an added fucking bonus. And once I kill the damn thing…"

Maybe then, I'll finally be able to…

"M-Master…" Anna stared at me before looking towards the floor. "Anna had no idea…"

"Everyone's got their demons. I know us three at least have something." Charlotte said, staring at the beast. "Also… Why does Mrs. S Grade call you Master? Heck's up with that?"

Ah, I got so used to it that I forgot it's kinda weird. "That's a long ass story."

"Master wished for Anna to call Master Master, hence, Master."

"Well, yes, but it only happened because I was joking damnit! Not my fault you can't take a joke!"

I sighed, turning the piece of tech off before putting it into the backpack Charlotte gave me. "Anyway, you two can head on home."

"What does Master plan to do?"

I got up and slung the backpack over my shoulder. "Training of course. If I'm going to kill this thing by tomorrow, that's kinda a given."

"Wait, you're planning on doing it tomorrow!? Don't you think that's kinda hasty!?"

I thought to myself, thinking about everything I would have to learn. "At most it'll take me a day. And I'm going to call Hebe over with me in case I brutally injure myself or something. Just in case," I added, noticing Anna's shift in demeanor. "Besides, getting injured during training beats dying in combat any day of the week."

I yawned again, my brain starting to feel fuzzy. Man, sleep deprivation isn't fun at all. "So yeah, see yah."

I waved the two goodbye, heading over to the training room.

"Contact Hebe for me Nymphy please."

"Should I tell her to head over to the usual training room?"

"That'll do, thanks a bunch."

Hopefully everything I had Charlotte grab would be enough to kill the thing…

----------------------------------

"FUUUUUUCK!"

I slammed back onto the ground, gasping for air as I felt my ribs break on impact. Fuck, fuck, fuck!

"H-hey… are you sure you're going to be able to do this by tomorrow?"

I glared at Hebe, who had crouched down next to me. "O-of cours—GAH!"

She placed her hands over my chest, and I could feel my broken bones repair themselves, finally allowing me to breathe.

"Agh, these things are hard to use," I grumbled, sitting back up again once Hebe was finished. "My timing is never right."

"You know, no else in the organization bothers with these things anymore. They're tough to master, and even if you do, most people still can't use it to their maximum potential because their body won't last. Plus, bullets can still hit you."

I stared at her before looking back towards the file. "There's no other way to do this. The thing is massive."

To be exact, it was taller than the tallest building in the damn city (which was 900 meters). The thing was about 950 meters tall.

"You have your two partners," she suggested, offering me a piece of candy (it was a Jolly Rancher). I accepted, feeling the sour taste in mouth.

"That would mean I've done nothing," I grumbled, looking over some other characteristics. It barely moves, strange as that may sound. I'm not complaining though; if a thing that size moved around, I don't think this would be possible.

It only uses two attacks, as far as the data goes; its roar attack and it uses its arms to defend itself if someone gets on its body. The beast also uses its arms to throw large lobs of snow at someone if agitated enough.

It's covered in white fur that can grow as long and thick as 2 fully grown adult males, with the fur also canceling out most attacks. Even if an attack gets through the fur, its skin is as tough as steel. If using conventional weapons, then I might not have a chance. But, this is a super highly advanced technological organization I'm in.

I picked up cylinder of metal that I could easily carry around with me, flipping it around to reveal 3 buttons. I pressed the middle one to see a large beam of energy shoot out to about half my size.

It was called an Energy Blade (or if you really want me to say it, a L*ghtsaber), and could extend outwards pretty much infinitely; the only downside is that it runs out of energy fairly quickly if you do that. And that's not even including how easy it would be to rip off a body part if it's too long (since it'll cut through anything with ease).

I sighed, turning it off before getting back up. "Anyway, I'm not going to sit back and give orders while those two do all the damn work. I can't allow it, not this time."

I finished off the candy, the sour sensation lingering in my mouth. "Thanks for the candy. I'll be counting on you until I master this."

"Why are you so determined to do this, if you don't mind me asking?"

I stopped, looking back at her.

"If I don't do this, I'll be haunted by this thing for the rest of my life," I said, giving her a sad smile.

I turned back around, taking a deep breath.

"Alright, simulation start."

-------------------------------

"I'm back," I murmured, yawning loudly as I walked back into my house.

"Oh, you're back pretty late today big bro! Something happen?" My sister asked from the kitchen. "You said it shouldn't take too long."

I took off my shoes and walked into the kitchen to see Luna cooking some food (spaghetti from the smell). "Yeah, something unexpected happen."

I rested my chin on her head, and she scowled from the newfound weight. "Hey, c'mon! You know not to do this when I cook!"

"Sorry, it's just been a long day," I murmured, feeling my eyes grow hazy.

I shook my head, walking away. Ugh, don't fall asleep just yet. "Anyway, tell me when the food is ready and I'll be down."

"Hey!" I felt her grab my hand, pulling me towards her. "Seriously, are you okay? I haven't seen you like this in a while."

Huh? "The heck? As far as I know, I haven't been like this before at all."

She let go of my hand, realizing something. "Ah, sorry. I was mistaken it seems. But don't worry, everything will be alright now that I'm here!"

I just stared at her, which caused her face to flush a bright red. "Oh, I should've known better to do that!" She wrapped her auburn hair around her face to hide, which caused me to start laughing.

"S-sorry, you just caught me off guard, don't worry about it," I said, patting her on the head. "I'll be fine, don't worry your cute self about me."

She slowly unfurled her hair, pouting. "I really don't like it when you do that…"

"Do what?"

"Nothing at all! Big Bro's who can't be honest don't get to eat!"

"Wait a second, how will I live without my Luna food!" I slumped down to the floor, defeated. "It's all that keeps me going through my day!"

"Apologize, and you'll get to eat."

"I am utterly and most sincerely sorry for my transgressions I have caused against the great Luna; please accept my humblest apologies so that I may eat!"

She nodded before tackling me with a hug. "Okay, I'll still feed yah!"

She released me, giving me a thumbs up. "Now, off yah go!"

I got back up, walking away from the kitchen before glancing backwards. Luna was happily humming to herself, dancing slightly as she continued to cook.

What would I do without you…?

I walked back to my room, a smile on my face before I saw my two partners standing out my door.

"Uh, the hell are you doing? Lesty will catch you."

"Oh, she left a little while ago. Said she was meeting a friend," Charlotte said, crossing her arms. "Anyway, we need to talk."

"Indeed, Master and Anna and Charlotte all must talk."

I scowled, rolling my eyes. "What is there to talk about? For the record, I already finished my training for tomorrow. I have a strategy set, and have already figured out where the thing is located. After I get some Luna food in me today and tomorrow, we'll leave."

"Master, please consider postponing."

"No."

Charlotte's eyes focused in on me, looking me up and down. "You know, you're a wreck, right? Have you seen yourself in a mirror lately?"

"No, because I already know I'm handsome."

"Not funny," she said, and I shrugged.

"Besides, the one who knows how much of a wreck I am is none other than yours truly. But I know my limits, and this isn't it."

"Master will break if Master tries to do this tomorrow."

"I'll break if I fucking don't!"

That hushed them up, as I balled up my fist, taking a deep breath.

"Damned if I do, damned if I don't; if that's how it is, I'd rather try than break down in my room like a wimp, crying to myself. At least then, I can try to grow past these limits of mine."

I sighed, raking my hand over my head. "Anymore dumb questions? I'm doing this, and I'll leave you both if you try to continue."

They both didn't say anything, and I nodded. "As I thought. Now, please, leave. Now."

I watched both of them leave, entering their room before shutting it close. I collapsed to my knees, holding my head as my vision grew hazy, my brain in a fog.

Agh, this really sucks. They're right, I might not even be able to do this. But, I've got no choice.

I got back up, opening up my door as I clutched my key.

This is for both of us, after all…

---------------------------------

"Well, this is the place," I said, putting away my phone in my backpack.

We were at heart of the city, skyscrapers towering above us. The amount of people bustling and walking around was almost ridiculous if you forgot it was Sunday. Cars weren't even used where we were at, people walking around in the middle of the open street, going through their lives. I could hear fighting over on the opposite side of crowd, and I also could've sworn I saw people with Japanese style weapons disappear into a building that everyone avoided for, well, I actually don't know the reason, but I get the feeling I really don't wanna find out.

"Man, this place really puts the TRTF to shame in its own right. Are you sure a time loop is really somewhere in the middle of this crowd?"

I readjusted my backpack, nodding. "Yeah, I'm sure of it. Judging from what I've gathered, the average Joe will avoid it without realizing it's there. Of course, anyone with a high enough Hero factor will get caught up in the time loop if they're close enough, but we'll deal with that later."

"Master does not understand. It is an exceedingly rare phenomenon for someone uninvolved to get caught in a Time Loop accidently. In all the time the TRTF has been around, it has only happened 3 times. Master is one of them."

"S-seriously? It's that rare?" I looked over at Anna, who nodded.

"Affirmative; it is that rare."

"I dunno about you guys, but I wanna get this over with as quickly as we can. If we could hurry this along, that would be swell!"

With that, we pushed our way through the crowd (although that was quite easy since my two partners were way stronger than the average person), until I started get a strange feeling.

"I think we're close," I said, glancing around. It should be on the floor somewhere…

We continued to walk, the feeling growing stronger until I stopped, noticing something strange.

"What's up, did yah find it?" Charlotte asked, taking the lollipop out of her mouth.

"I think so." I walked forward, slipping through a couple people until I stopped in a small open space, triangle in shape. People were walking around like this without even noticing it, just like what happened with Paris.

"That's kinda creepy. I'm curious why it happens…" Charlotte murmured, and I scowled.

"Wait, you guys have no clue?"

"That is technically correct. They are unnatural phenomenon, so perhaps people avoid it because of exactly that?"

If that's the case, then what the hell does that make me, someone who can sense them and gets caught up into them?

I shook my head. Now is not the time for existential crises. I crouched down, looking at the entrance.

"Is this really it?" Charlotte asked, her eyes focusing in on the object.

It was a pebble, one you could see often in the street and on sidewalks. What made this ordinary pebble unordinary however, is that it was covered in snow.

"Master, if Master would do the honors."

I nodded, reaching my hand towards the pebble.

And as soon as the tip of my finger made contact, the entire world around us three changed.

The most noticeable thing that happened was the sudden drop in temperature. It dropped 100 degrees Fahrenheit, plunging it into the negative 20's.

My two partners were fine, since they had some sort of temperature regulation, but an average guy who was dressed for 80 degree weather?

"GAH!"

I clutched my knees together, the sudden temperature change causing my body to convulse in pain. My whole body was tense, screaming out at me as it started to almost shutdown.

"Master!"

I held up my hand, gritting my teeth. Fuck, this hurts way more than I thought. "I-I'll be alright. I-I won't b-be here l-long anyway…"

Damnit body, move! I slowly clenched and unclenched my muscles all around my body, slowly getting it to work before I coughed, tasting the warm iron in my mouth.

I managed to get to my knees, starting to move my body parts around in various positions to try to get my motion back.

"O-okay, I think I've got about 75-80% of motion back," I said, standing up, finally getting a good look at my surroundings.

There was only one thought that crossed my mind as I looked around:

It was the same as back then.

The awful memory came back, almost overpowering me before I shook it off.

It was the same winter hell I had experienced all those years ago. Snow covered the ground about 4-feet high, the cold winds piercing through your very soul. And the constant snow that only piled higher with each passing minute.

But the worst thing about it, was it.

It was impossible to miss, despite the low visibility. It towered over all, it's beady red eyes scanning everything that could be a threat, with a roar that could shake the heavens itself; yes, it was truly the epitome of my fucking nightmares.

Charlotte whistled, spitting out her stick. "That thing is massive! Oi, are you sure we can do this?"

"We're not doing anything," I said, taking off my backpack, unzipping it open. "I'm doing it, alone."

"M-Master!" I looked back at Anna, who was glaring at me. "Anna knows Master is not dumb, but Master can be idiotic. Anna refuses!"

"You're basically asking to die! Is that what you want!?"

I took out a belt, wrapping it around my waist. Attached was about 20 Energy Blades, each fully charged. "I'm not going to die. I already told you I had a plan."

"Yeah, a suicidal one! Look at you, you can't even handle the cold! It'll only get colder the closer you get to that thing! Why bother bringing us if you're just going to do this by yourself!?

I took out my next item, a pair of gravity boots. It worked more like attachments, modifying your current pair of shoes by covering them. It would attach to your nervous system so you could tell it how much gravity you wanted and where you wanted the gravity to be aimed at with a simple thought. Of course, you have to be decently agile in order to do this, let alone to make sure you don't become a bloody mess due to not adjusting your landing (you could be as specific or as vague as you want, but the more specific, the better generally). Luckily, I'm a genius who can do the calculations; it just took me a while to be able do it while also under threat of dying.

"I needed people to see my achievement, or in the worst-case scenario, tell them what happened to me." I attached them to the soles of my shoes, wincing slightly as it attached to my nerves. "As for the cold, if I move fast enough I'll heat up, and these boots will help with that."

"Anna refuses!" I stopped as Anna grabbed me by the shirt. "Anna will not let another one of Anna's friends die! Anna, I, refuse!"

For the briefest of moments, I could've sworn I saw her eyes go purple.

"Hey Anna? I know we haven't known each other very long, but it feels like we have."

She furrowed her brow, staring at me. "Do not change the subject!"

"So, I'm asking, do you trust me?"

She blinked, her eyes whirring in and out of focus at my words. "Wha-?"

"Do you trust me?"

I watched her body shake, before her hands released my shirt. "Anna… trusts you."

"Then, please, leave it to me."

"Bu-!"

She stopped when she looked at my face, hesitating.

"This is something I have to do, by myself. That's just how it is."

She hesitated, looking down at the ground before holding onto her shirt and taking a step back, nodding. "If that is what Master wishes, then Anna will not interfere."

"W-wait a second!? I refuse to accept that shitty reasoning! I don't care how much I trust you Hiro, you can't do this! Look at you!"

"AND DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT!?"

I rushed towards her, grabbing her shirt before slamming my head against hers. "I ALREADY KNOW I'M A FUCKING MESS! I'VE BEEN A GODDAMN MESS FOR FAR, FAR LONGER THAN YOU COULD POSSIBLY FUCKING KNOW! SO BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY, I KNOW!"

I released her, gritting my teeth. "I know, but it's because I know that I have too. Nothing will change if I don't."

"But-!"

"Anna will make sure both of us do not interfere," Anna said, looking over at the two of us.

"But even you know that-!"

"My special friend once told Anna something that Anna did not understand at the time.

"My special friend told me, that there is a time in everyone's life, where there is a moment, a chance, an opportunity that will change their life. This will ultimately change a person's life for the better or for the worse."

Anna let out a smallest of smiles, a melancholic air about her. "Anna believes this is Master's moment. Master needs to do this alone, for reasons that only Master can truly understand. Anna does not understand, but Anna trusts Master, and since Anna trusts Master, Anna understands."

"Tha-that's just…"

"My special friend also told me, that men have a silly thing called pride that gets in the way of asking for help."

"Hey now, I didn't like that jab!"

Anna turned around, staring at the beast. "Anna will wait and place her faith in Master."

I sighed, starting to shiver from the obscene amounts of cold I was feeling. "Thank you Anna."

"No thanks needed. Anna just needs Master to come back."

I nodded, giving her a thumbs up. "You got it!"

"Ugh, I don't get it. Listen, I'm not having another partner die on me, you got that!? If it even looks like you're about to die, I'm getting you out of there!"

I pulled out the last thing from my backpack, another belt that I put around my left shoulder. The last one was self explanatory; it was simply a belt of 30 energy grenades.

"Alright, as soon as I initiate combat, I got 10 minutes before it kicks me out of Time Loop. Luckily I won't destroy reality if I fail, but I'd rather not have to do a rematch."

I looked up at the beast, glaring at him. "OI YOU BIG DUMB SNOW BEAST! YOU'VE GIVEN ME TEN MINUTES, BUT I'LL DO IT IN FIVE!"

I took a deep breath, focusing on the target. Ignore the cold, just focus on the task at hand. Focus, on winning!

I activated my gravity boots, jumping into the air before aiming my feet towards the legs of the monster, changing my gravity's orientation. I shot downward towards him, activating two Energy Blades.

In order to actually do legitimate damage to him, the blades had to be about 498ft long (which is ridiculous by the way, the hell was the author thinking?), or about 150 meters longs. Basically, they only lasted about 30 seconds before it burnt out.

But that should still be enough, along with my grenades.

I slowed my gravity down, landing with a thud on his leg, and I watched the sky around us turn a dark red, black lightning crackling in the air.

Alright, time starts now.

I slashed downwards, his black blood spraying over me. I leapt forward, lessening gravity's effect so I could move faster, running up its shin and slicing it apart.

There was a vicious roar, and it moved its legs, causing me to fall off, hurtling towards the snow.

"Shit!" I managed to adjust my feet's position and landed on top of the snow, sinking into it slightly. I tossed the two used Energy Blades away, scowling.

Okay, this might be slightly more difficult than I thought. I got rid of gravity entirely and leapt upwards, aiming my feet towards his other shin, falling downwards.

I slammed down onto its hair, sliding down slightly before I rushed forward, taking a grenade off my belt, ripping the pin off with my mouth.

I reached its knees (one of the few places without hair) and tossed the grenade, reversing gravity and leaping off as the explosion ripped through its kneecap.

"ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!"

Shit! I got blasted downwards by its roar, slamming down into the snow again, gasping for air.

Fuck, that hurt! I growled as I adjusted the gravity to send me back towards its feet before reversing it again, sending me around its leg in an upwards loop.

"FUCK YOU, YOU DAMN BASTARD!"

I activated two more of my Energy Blades, slashing into his legs as I continued to shoot upwards, slashing its Achilles heel and all its tendons, screaming out in pure unadulterated rage.

My Blades quickly ran out, and I landed near its hips, pulling out two more as I did so before a dark shadow covered over me.

"YOU LITTLE-!"

It grabbed me with one its hands, and started the action of throwing me far away.

"FUCK YOU!"

I used my boots to spin around in a circle, cutting off its fingers with my Energy Blades before landing on its wrist.

I slammed both of them through his wrist, slicing it up before its hand went limp. I tossed the Blades and pulled out two more grenades, ripping the pins out with my mouth again before throwing them towards the approaching hand.

"ROARGH!"

It blew the hand back, but didn't seem to do much damage to it, probably because of the damn hair.

I started to run up its body again before losing my balance as it flailed its arm around, trying to shake me off.

"Oh, SHIT!"

I started to fall again, but I gritted my teeth and aimed right for its stomach, reaching terminal velocity as I kicked it, hard.

It stumbled back, letting out a roar of pain. Of course, I didn't come out unscathed either.

I felt my legs crack, but not break, and I had to withhold a scream a pain. Damnit, this is nothing compared to what it made me go through.

"JUST KEEP MOVING DAMNIT!"

I activated another two Blades, attempting to slash at its chest, only for the blades to get knocked out of my hand.

What!? You're telling me there's parts of the body where my Blades won't work!?

I shook my head and started to run forward before I felt a massive chill.

I turned around in time to see a 600ft sized snowball mere inches away.

I managed to explode it with two more grenades, the leftover snow slamming into my body, causing bruises to appear.

"ALRIGHT YOU BIG MOTHERFUCKER, IS THAT THE BEST YOU FUCKING GOT!?"

As if responding to me, it let out a vicious roar that once again caused me to get off balance, but I used it to my advantage this time, using my gravity boots to swing around to its back, holding four grenades in my hand, all the pins ripped open.

I threw them towards another exposed area, its ass.

"SINCE YOU'RE SUCH AN ASSHOLE, I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT APPRECIATE FOUR MORE BITCH!"

I ran up its back, avoiding its sole hand as it tried to swat me off. Then, he did something that surprised me.

"GROAGH!"

As soon as the growl reached my ears, I had already flown off its body, having started to shake itself violently.

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!

Damnit Hiro, think! A crazy, very stupid idea occurred to me, but nonetheless it was one I had to try.

I started to fall headfirst, and while doing so, I reversed gravity to start falling towards the snowstorm.

"Shit, this may have been a bad ideaaaaaaaaaaa!"

I flew past its head as I deactivated the gravity, flipping in the air before I aimed my feet towards its ear.

"AND BANG!"

I undid all but two of my clips on my grenades, slamming towards its ear before throwing the belt directly into its earhole.

I leapt off again, looping around to its other ear as I activated two more Energy Blades, slicing through its other ear as the explosion sent his head rearing around as it screeched.

I landed on its shoulder, watching it writhe in pain. "YOU FEEL THAT YOU FUCKER!? THIS IS WHAT I HAD TO GO THROUGH IN THAT DAMN HOSPITAL! DO YOU REMEMBER ME!?"

It turned to me, glaring before letting out a vicious roar; I held my ground, increasing my gravity as we stared each other in the eye.

I tossed the two Blades away and pulled out another two, activating them. "ALRIGHT THEN, LET'S DO THIS!"

I rushed forward as its hand slammed down onto its shoulder, and right before it hit me, I sliced two of its fingers off (its middle and ring finger).

It hissed at me before jolting its shoulders upwards, sending me flying up into the air. It used the arm with its unusable hand to try to swat me away, but I landed and started to slide in an downward spiral, slicing its arm to ribbons before the two ran out.

I leapt up onto the other arm as it tried to grab me, and activated two more Energy Blades, letting out a ferocious scream.

I used up all the energy in those two blades to extend them higher than even the tallest skyscraper and sliced into its arm horizontally, splitting its arm into three pieces.

Now then, you're mine!

It threw me up towards its face, and I took out the last two grenades and ripped out my pins.

"NOW YOU'RE MINE YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!"

I threw them towards its eyes, both of them hitting their mark as the explosion ripped away its sight, my ultimate goal before I would end it with an Energy Blade.

But…

As I was the falling, the snowstorm whipping around me, to my utmost horror I saw it had managed to save its right eye by closing it just in time.

"OH SHI-!"

"ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!"

Ah, I didn't plan for that to happen…

----------------------------------

I opened my eyes, feeling the wind whip around me. Shit, how long was I out for? I could still see the red sky and black lightning, so not that long. 20 seconds? 30 seconds?

I was still climbing up higher, going through the clouds as the lightning crackled all around me, the snow and cold biting through me.

Damnit, it knocked away the rest of my Blades. Well, except this one, I thought as I looked at the one I was still holding onto.

"Fuck, I'm not about to lose here!" I winced as I tried to activate my gravity boots, breaking off me before scattering in the wind.

No, I can still kill the motherfucker. I've got one shot, but I don't even know if it'll work.

No, beyond that, will I even survive?

For a brief moment I felt the overwhelming fear of death almost tear through my rationale, plunging me into despair.

Almost anyway…

I started to feel myself slow down, my flight upwards almost over.

"It'll be okay Hiro. You've got this. Doesn't matter how crazy it may seem, this'll work."

I felt myself come to a standstill in the air as I activated my final Energy Blade, once again pouring out all the energy it contained. It would only last about 10 seconds, but I should be able to reach in time.

"NOW MOVE BODY!"

I started to spin in the air as I fell faster and faster, quickly reaching terminal velocity. I started to spin faster and faster, going faster and faster, needing all the speed I could possibly get; both from centrifugal force and velocity.

"NOW MEET YOUR FUCKING MAKER!"

I reached the end of the clouds right as I saw its ugly mug, about to end it with another roar to send me through the skyscrapers.

At this point, everything was happening very quickly; however, I only remember two important details:

I slashed using all the force I could possibly muster, only for the Blade to get stuck within its hairy head, the place with the most hair on its body.

"DAMNIT, MOVE BODY! MOVE! I NEED TO GO-!"

faster

And suddenly I was on the ground safely, the Energy Blade dead in my hands.

"…Eh?"

I looked up towards the beast, and for a brief moment, everything was still in the world, as we looked at each other…

…And in the next instance, everything in front of me had been cleaved in two; the earth, the sky, but most importantly, the beast.

The blood spurted outwards, making two lines around me, but never touching me. It fell backwards with massive thud, causing a 1000ft wave of snow to come hurtling towards me, but even that had gotten cleaved in half by an aftershock, washing over the world around me to blanket it in a sea of white.

I dropped the Blade, unable to move, unable to think, even begin to process what had just occurred.

But, only one thing really mattered…

As the sky started to clear, the rays of sunshine started to melt the snow that had enveloped the world. And when one such ray landed on me, that was when I saw her.

She had her back turned to me, but she was staring out towards the sun, hands on her hips.

Ah, so that's how it is…

I also looked up towards the sun, it starting to look hazy. Shit, am I about to pass out?

With the hazy vision I could feel my face start to grow warm and wet, and it was only then I realized.

"I-it's finally over…"

My 10 year long denial, anger, bargaining, and depression, it's all ended with this huh?

"I hope, you're doing well out there, Mom. I, I think I can finally accept it now. The nightmare is finally over, at long last. Now, we can both rest…"

I could hear her laugh, and I managed to clench my fist and raise it up in the air, towards the bright, warm sun.

"I-it was all for you…"

I let out a guttural cry as I stood there, my battered and bruised body standing triumphant over the very thing that had ruined me.

-----------------------------

We teleported in front of Master, staring at the carnage he had created. Skyscrapers had been ripped to shreds from how long his Energy Blades were, and the clouds were still cleaved into two, along with the earth. But, most importantly…

"What the hell just happened!?" Charlotte could only stare at the dead beast, cleaved into two. "H-how did he..?"

"Anna has no clue either," I muttered, glaring at one of the skyscrapers.

The presence noticed me and quickly left, and I sighed, looking over at Master, remembering what had happened.

It was so fast, not even Charlotte noticed it. But, I did.

It was only brief, but Master had managed to speed himself up somehow; how fast he went is beyond my understanding however.

"Master really did do it…"

"More importantly, is he even alive!?"

I looked at Master and shook my head. "No, Master is alright."

I walked to the front of him, letting out a small smile at his face.

"Master is just sleeping."

"Eh!? Is that really it!? He's not dead!?"

"Affirmative; how Master did it is beyond comprehension, but Master did it nonetheless."

"So, now what?"

I took out my Hephy and called the Director. "Yello there! Is it already over?"

"Indeed, Master was successful."

"Oho, he exceeded my expectations! Well, this is cause for celebration! We officially have a new Hero! The entire TRTF will be celebrating for days! Oh, how is Hiro?"

"Sleeping."

"Ah, I see. Well, bring him over so he can celebrate. When that Time Loop breaks he'll be fully healed."

"Anna will not do that. Anna is going home with Master."

There was a brief pause, and then chuckling. "Very well then, take him home. I suppose he deserves that after everything he went through. Do tell him about the festivities when he wakes up, just in case he wants to come."

"Okay."

"Well, talk to you later! Oh, and you two can come up with his epithet, got it? Bye!"

He hung up, and I put the Hephy away. "Anna does not like talking to him very much."

"Who does?" Charlotte grumbled, looking over at Master. "So, what are we going to do? About his epithet I mean."

"Simple; Master is idiotic, stupid, dumb, and does very incomprehensible and inexplicable actions and plans. Anna only thinks one title fits Master best."

Charlotte walked next to me and looked at Hiro. "Hmm, you have a point. Yeah, let's go with that then. Do you wanna wake him up and tell him once we get outta here?"

I shook my head. "No. Let us not."

I continued to smile at his face, gently stroking it. "After all, Master is having the most peaceful of dreams now; Anna says let Master rest."

For the 100th's Hero's last Triumph, he slayed the beast that had caused the previous hero's death in 7 minutes and 30 seconds. Despite being battered and bruised to the point of near death, the Hero still stood strong till the very end, passing out while standing up in victory over his opponent.

For the dangerous plans and actions this Hero has often done throughout his Triumphs, his two witnesses gave him the Epithet: The Reckless Hero.

And Thus, Ends Hiro's Hero Triumphs
