As Alex enters the school courtyard the next day, he sees an African-American male of average height and stocky build tugging Clark on the arm while a spunky looking fair short haired blonde female with blue green eyes seems to be trying to get the two boy's attention.
Since Alex is still relatively new to Smallville high, he gulps before making his way over to the group. Unlike yesterday, where everyone was avoiding the good-looking cripple, Alex finds himself at the center of everyone's attention.
Blowing some air out of his mouth, he steels himself.
"Hey Clark" Alex greets with a smile on face.
"Alex" Clark shifts his arm from the others grasp as he gives me a look of exasperation, "You met, Pete and Chloe yet?"
Shaking his head, Clark proceeds to introduce the two "This is Pete Ross, future NFL player. Don't let congenial smile fool you. His family is basically royalty around her. And this here is Chloe Sullivan our resident super sloth and head of the school newspaper"
Reaching out his hand, he shakes hands with the two before slightly flinching as he stares into the girl's eyes for a second longer than he should. Causing a faint blush to form on her face
Noticing her uncomfortable position Alex withdraws his hands and gaze before apologizing silently.

'Meteor Freak, what's that?'
The AI voice known as Cora answers Alex's question 'A meteor freak: derogatory term used to refer to humans who have acquired superpowers through exposure to a meteor rock. Prolonged exposure, often results in psychosis resulting in "meteor freaks" who rampage throughout Smallville and Metropolis'
'Cor, how do you know this?'
'The internet, sir'
'I don't remember reading anything on super-powered humans on the internet before'
'Information was what you humans call classified, sir'
'You hacked a secure website? And stop with the sir thing please'
'Yes captain, I extrapolated all information in the database of some place called The pentagon'
'Stop with the captain, sir stuff. It's just Alex. YOU HACKED THE GOVERNMENT?'
'No Alex… I hacked The Pentagon' It's steel like voice coldly responds. Yet Alex is pretty certain that it can hear a modicum of humor and derision in its program.
Unaware of his surroundings, as his been on autopilot for the last few minutes. He stumbles into someone causing the person tumbling to the ground. Luckily his new superman reflexes comes in handy as he is able to stop her from crashing down, grabbing onto her waist.
He is able to hold her in a dip move, similar to that as in ballroom dancing.
Although slightly flushed and startled, the girl manages to give him a sweet smile. A smile sweeter than sin. Brown hair haloed by the sunlight, with a delicate face more finely crafted than the most highest grade of jade, with a pair of hazel-green eyes forms a pair of crooked crescents.
Alex had never seen anything more perfect in that moment. In this moment of time, he believed Lex was wrong. Fate does exist.
His impatience can't wait to find out her name. So while it may be a bit impolite. He looks towards his hud, and finds the answer he's looking for
Name: Lana Lang.
Race: Human (Teenager)
....
'Lana Lang? Wait why is that name familiar?' It takes a second before he realizes who the person is.
Grabbing onto his pants pocket, he feels the metal in his pocket.
She's…. The owner of the necklace?
"LANA!" Clark calls out dropping his books to the floor. Out of concern, he seemed ready to jump into action but upon seeing Alex's 'control' of the situation. He sighs out of relief.
Alex and Lana slowly return into normal standing positions.
Her 5ft 3 frame, is hidden by Alex's build. At 6ft 1 he may not be a be tallest of males but it is enough to tower over the cute Asian-American.
"Sorry… I wasn't paying attention. I was ….." Alex apologises
"No harm, no foul" She responds courteously as she straightens her hair, as well as stopping him from rambling any longer
"Uhm… So… I guess, a .. Hi, I'm Alex is in order" He says nervously scratching the back of his neck
Her eyes brighten a bit, " It would be nice knowing who tackled me"
"It wasn't a tackle, more like a shoulder charge."
She giggles at his defense, "I'm Lana. Lana Lang…Nice to meet you... Alex"
