84. To the training camp

Rowan looked at Director Wu Baige thoughtfully. The great director seemed to have become more cautious because of the success of "Face/Off". He couldn't help but feel moved and whispered in an indirect way: "I'm not too worried about these. What I want right now is to get as much experience I can before I make any big moves."

"Even you are taking things step by step and here I am thinking of rushing straight. No this won't do. I can't let you surpass me so quickly."

Rowan thought if John Woo knew the truth that Rowan has already surpassed him in capital will he drown in shame or not.

After promoting the movie for 10 days, Rowan left the crew of "Face/off" to join the rest of the cast of "Saving Private Ryan" for the 10 days of military training.

The box office of Face/off has already crossed 100 million in North America and 120 million overseas and its still growing strong so Rowan could leave the crew with ease of mind as he also confirmed his theory that the more well known the movie becomes and the more impact his role plays, he can get additional ability from the dream copy or his original ability strengthens.

After the movie became hit, Rowan got "Face changing +2" now if he wants he could easily disguise his face and no one will know. He tried it with Mary and she was surprised by how different he looked.

The chartered car of the "Saving Private Ryan" crew was already waiting at the door.

"I'll give you a few days off. I can take care of myself later."

After giving some instructions to Emma the female assistant and two bodyguards, Rowan got on the bus carrying his bag.

He took a quick look and saw that they were all unknown actors.

Not even enough for an extra, not even enough for a gold medal supporting actor.

They are the group of people who are not as good as the rich but better than the poor, who can support themselves with film pay but cannot make a lot of money, the American middle class.

In the NBA, he is a minimum-salary player with a contract.

No need to worry about being cut, eager for the opportunity to prove himself and become famous with one shot.

Rowan found a random seat and sat down.

There was a bald man on the other side of the aisle.

Rowan held out his hand and smiled, "Rowan."

The bald man glanced at him and shook his hand: "Vin Diesel."

Rowan's smile widened as he felt the bald man's hand exerting force.

Provoking me?

This is too childish.

With this kind of EQ, you're still working in Hollywood?

But... Rowan smiled as he secretly in creased his strength.

Vin Diesel's face turned red and veins popped up on his bald head. Rowan finally let go and said jokingly, "Hey, you're sweating all over your forehead. Is it too hot? Do you need a small fan?"

Vin Diesel grimaced, waved his hands speechlessly.

Wanting to curse but obviously no match for the opponent, Vin Diesel wiped the sweat from his forehead and simply put on a blindfold, pretending he didn't hear anything.

Seeing his reaction, Rowan was too lazy to mock him anymore and started chatting and making friends with others.

Their respective roles had already been determined and there was not much competition. In addition, they would undergo military training together later, so the young actors gradually became familiar with each other during casual chatting.

"Tom Hanks?!"

While they were chatting animatedly, Rowan heard an exclamation.

He turned his head and saw Tom Hanks, the real star of the "Saving Private Ryan" crew, walking up!

And he didn't come to visit the young actors. He got on the bus alone with his bag. Just like them, and it was obvious that he w anted to travel with the group.

Rowan was a little surprised.

He thought that the great actor would go alone, but he didn't expect that he would follow the crowd and take the bus with sm all characters like them.

A closer look reveals that this actor in his early 40s has a good appearance, but he is not as handsome as the other Tom at first sight.

He gives people the feeling of being low-key and humble, a handsome old man wi th temperament.

This bus is for the 10-day recruit training camp. The coach will come with the group in person, which shows his professionalism.

Rowan thought it was no wonder that Tom Hanks was so popular.

As if he noticed Rowan's gaze, Tom Hanks turned and walked towards him: "Is anyone here?"

"No."

Rowan made way.

After sitting down, Tom Hanks actually took out a pen and paper and said, "Mr. Rowan, can you sign an autograph? My four children all like you as a hero."

Rowan took it in surprise: "My pleasure... Just call me by my name, Mr. Hanks."

"You can call me Tom, too."

"Tom, can you give me an autograph, too? I love your movies."

"That's what I earned."

Tom Hanks said humorously: "You sign four and I will only sign one."

Rowan smiled and said, "Then please take another photo together."

After signing each other's names, Rowan and Tom Hanks had a good chat.

The actor is very easy to get along with and even shows off his baby to Rowan.

Rowan also just found out that his youngest child was only two years old.

He can recognize the kid's charm at the age of two. He is worthy of being the child of an actor. He has a bright future!

"He's holding onto your poster and won't let go. I'm so jealous."

Tom Hanks laughed, "They like you like their favorite dinosaur."

Rowan modestly said: "I don't think my charm is as strong as that of a dinosaur."

He really believed so in his heart.

After the release of Jurassic Park, dinosaurs became the favorite of children.

The human cubs couldn't walk when they saw the dinosaurs.

Are dinosaurs so attractive?

Yes! Dinosaurs are so charming!

It's a pity that he didn't participate in "Jurassic Park", otherwise he could enter the dungeon and experience "fancy ways to get into the mouth of a Tyrannosaurus Rex" and "108 ways to feed a Tyrannosaurus Rex".

As they chatted, Rowan wondered if this was due to the new trophy. The spoils of Life is Beautiful bring no real power.

After all, the male lead Guido is neither a legendary black warrior nor a top driver neither a fighter.

Based on the performance in the script, Rowan studied it for more than a month before analyzing that it might be related to luck.

In the first half of "Life is Beautiful", in addition to wit, luck is also an important factor in pursuing his wife. He can always encounter opportunities to increase her favorability, just like the illegitimate child of the Virgin Mary.

It's hard to say whether there is a connection or not, this thing is too metaphysicaI, but Rowan will naturally not let go of the opportunity when it is in front of him.

Tom Hanks is here, why isn't his good brother here?

After waiting for a while, his good brother Matt Damon was still not there.

Someone else happened to be chatting with Tom Hanks, so Rowan made way for him and called his friend: "Matt, you didn't come to training?"

"I don't know."

Matt Damon's voice was innocent: "The crew didn't inform me."

"Maybe they think you don't need it."

Rowan joked: "But man, I feel like you're going to have a hard time after you join the crew."

"Why?"

"Tom Hanks is on the bus, too."

"ah?!"

Matt Damon's emotional intelligence is much higher than Vin Diesel's. He immediately figured it out: "Do they suspect that I'm dumping a big shot... I'm not a big shot. My salary for the last movie, including the Ieading actor, script and screenwriter, was only $600,000. What big shot am I dumping?"

Rowan shrugged. "They don't know you. They will just see that you, the Ryan who needs to be saved, are not with them, and they might feel unbalanced."

Matt Damon couldn't help but complain: "You talk like you are the dwarfs and I m Snow White."

"It doesn't matter if I'm dwarf or not, I think Ben is very suitable to be a prince."

"I've already imagined that scene. What the hell is going on? Rowan, how about I apply to come over?"

"You can give it a try. Matt, don't worry. The crew must have arranged it this way for a reason."

"All right."

"Hey."

There was more to talk about, buy Spielberg led a group of people onto the bus.

Rowan quickly lowered his voice and said, "The boss is here. I'll call you later."

After hanging up the phone, Rowan and the others looked at Spielberg.

The bus fell silent. Spielberg said a few pleasantries and then got straight to the point: "This time, Marine Corps veteran Dale Dye and his team will organize a ten-day boot camp training."

"Mr. Dale Dye and his team are a professional company that trains actors for authentic military roles, but the main reason I'm asking you to attend boot camp is not to learn the proper technique, but because I want you to respect what it's like to be a soldier."

After talking for a few minutes, Spielberg gave his seat to Dale Dye: "Next, Mr. Dale Dye will introduce you to the content of these ten days."
