Job change

After preparing as much as he could, Lothar walked to the white Rift. When he arrived he was standing in front of a huge gate that was built around the Rift, it looked like a portal into another world like out of a movie. The gate surrounding the Rift was built by the Creators of Hope Guild, they were showing their gratitude to the white Rift. It was their way to live and improve themselves. For a whole lot of people, this is the only source of income they have. There were guards in front of the Rift checking the people who enter since only people older than 15 are allowed.

The guard let him pass after Lothar was checked. When he entered everything around him turned white and he had to close his eyes because of the brightness. When the light dimmed down and he was able to see again he looked around and found himself on a road. From above the area looked like a 4 leafed clover with Lothar in the middle and on every petal another workshop was placed. There are only 4 Jobs available so there are only 4 workshops. Lothar thought about it the whole night, he was hoping that there was a hidden Job that would allow him to do all the things inside this white Rift. but this was not the only reason he was coming here today.

"Transformation, Dragon."

"Hmm, ok so what now is that why it is in clinches. Transformation, Elephant."

"I understand maybe it has something to do with the hight and mass of those 2 races" After thinking for a while he decided to just let it go and try when his Lvl rises. "So, for now, let's focus on moving with all the different races. Lothar was spending nearly 3 days inside the white rift only to learn how to move in all the different forms. Some of the things were a bit challenging in the beginning but he got used to it very quickly. Being able to divide his thought played a big role in this. Flying like a Bird and moving 8 legs at the same time in Spider form were the most challenging things he had to learn.

After mastering all the formes, except the Demon form because he was very reluctant to turn into a Demon, he noticed that he did not simply turn into the races he truly became them. His senses improved manyfold as a dog he could hear and smell better as a cat he was able to see further and so on. "This should be enough let's work on changing the Job."

Meanwhile, back on the planet in the center of the galaxy, the shadow that was still watching Lothar to a deep breath and sighed. "It seems like he will need more time to truly understand the Transformation Skill and its real value" Suddenly a rift opened behind him and a crimson red mist flowed out of it. "Long time no see you old Demon. Are you still not done in this galaxy?" The dark shadow turned the observation of Lother off and turned around.

"What are you doing here, can't you see I am busy?" The crimson mist ignored him and said. "It is about time, only 3 years remain until it will start. Have you found someone interesting yet?"

"That is none of your business!" The dark shadow's voice became louder and angrier. "Okay, okay, I'm gonna leave... See you next time, Grim." After that, a Rift opened again and the red crimson mist left. "That was close, he nearly saw him." Grim was referring to Lothar.

Unbeknown to Lothar what just happened he was thinking about which Job he should take. The available Jobs are Blacksmith, Jeweler, Leatherworker, and Pharmacist. Normally the Jobs are closely related to the Class one possesses, so Swordsmen would become Blacksmith so they can Smith weapons and armor for them, Mages would become Jewelers because they are able to change the Mana properties inside a Manacrystal or Manastone into an elemental property which boosts Stat Parameters and sometimes even have a passive effect.

Scouts work with leather so they can create closes which are light and easy to move in. Healers often become Pharmacists because they have a close bond to nature and can enhance the effects with their life energy. Because everyone would do what was most benefitting to them they would choose the Job suitable for there Class. But Lothar is different, he is neither of the standard Classes. It is written in the game guide that once you chose a Job you can not change it back. And once you chose, the doors to the other workshops will be closed.

After giving it a little thought Lothar decided to walk into the direction of the Jewelry shop. He felt that his ability to conect to the elements was different than others and he might be able to pull something off. After unleashing the elemental attacks through the sword inside the Swordsmen training course his understanding of how to manipulate Mana and change its properties changed drastically.

When he entered he was flabbergasted, he saw a very neat and clean workshop. Shelves on the walls to place the materials, a furnace in the corner for molding gold or silver, a workbench with a grinder in the center, besides that a lot of plaster molds to form rings, bracelet, or necklaces with it. Gold and Silver were known to be a good Mana conductor and it enables one to conect to the gemstones naturally.

Lothar walked to the shelves and placed a lot of Manastones and Manacrystals on them. Some of them were bought on the market before he entered and some of them were heirlooms he got after he searched the house he and his family used to live in, or at least what was left of it. He got some really huge crystals and some that were very clear with no impurities at all.

He also got the sword of his mother and the leather suit of his father. His mother was known as a fierce Swordswomen with very beautiful swordsmanship and his father was a very talented Scout who focused on speed and movement techniques. Some of these Skills are already deeply engraved in Lothar's movements and sword Skills.

They were known as, Black Lightning and Blue Thunder, his father was fast as lightning and everywhere his mother's strike would hit, it sounded like thunder descending from the sky. The clothes of his father were black and the sword of his mother has a deep blue hue. Along with the founder of Demonhunters and his wife they were in a raid group together.

Lothar headed to the workbench and as soon as he sat down and touched it a status window opened.

Skill Description:

Identify, Passive Skill: The user can see the properties of dungeon objects

Lothar shortly checked his status window and saw that he was now officially a Jeweler Lvl 1. And that he got the Skill Identify. Identify is like Inventory, a Skill that does not need to Lvl up and a Skill that everyone gets once a Job is learned. It lets you see the properties of objects that are found inside the dungeons. After Identifying the stones he had on his shelve he discovered that Manastones had the lowest degree of purification, the crystals were middle-grade and the rare stones and jewels from his parents were of a higher grade.

He then took some Manastones and sat down at the table with the grinder. He observed the Manastones and looked out for impurities and let his Mana flow into the stones. After a few mistakes, he finally got the hang of it and the impurities were gone, one had to drive them out with Mana, after that he used the grinder to reshape the Manastones. He had to get used to it and was trying to form them into diamond-shaped pieces. After a few tries, he finished his first piece.

Purification Lvl 1, Active Skill: Purifies low-grade Manastones into middle-grade

He repeated this until all the Manastones he bought were purified and ground into about 40 diamond-shaped gemstones. After identifying them again he saw that some of them changed from low-grade to medium-grade but to purify them any further was not possible since they were now too small for that. "Hmm, next time I will try to clean out the impurities as much as possible before grinding them into shape, I guess I was too impatient here. So now for the next part."

He placed the gemstones he purified in front of him and sorted them into little stacks parting the low-grade ones from the medium grade. After the preparations were done Lothar took a low-grade gemstone and observed it. He concentrated his Mana into the stone and tried to understand its properties, its flow, its firmness, simply everything about it. After getting familiar with it he began to change the Mana into Fire, slowly and steady the Mana inside the gem turned from light blue into red, a few seconds later the gemstone completely changed.

"Nice, let's see what it does." After Identifying the red gemstone he saw exactly what he was expecting.

It was widely known which gemstone had which properties. It is also written in the game guide they are:

Red--> Fire = Str

Blue--> Water = Int

Grey--> Wind = Agi

Yellow--> Earth = Vit

A person was only able to equip 4 gemstones. Most of the people go with the usual one ring to bracelets and one necklace combination. Adding red gemstones to your bracelets will have a positive effect on your arms strength and it is possible to improve a little bit more than just one stat point, having a yellow gemstone around your neck will increase your vitality and help with the recovery rate.

Some Mages add blue gemstones to there headgear to improve their Mana recovery and thinking processes. Gray gemstones are used around the ankles by Scouts to increase their speed. There are many different t ways to use gemstones and have a positive side effect. Lothar took a short break and then continued to create gemstones in all variations.

After all the low-grade gems were used he took the middle-grade gems and continued. As soon as he was in the prosses he noticed a huge difference. The capacity of those gemstones was twice as much even though they had the same size. After creating a middle-grade red gemstone he used Identify to check. It was now Str: +2

He tried again, this time he used the wind element and the result was the same, Agi: +2. He stood up and took a deep breath he then walked around the workshop and was in deep thought. He was thinking of a way to change the gemstones as no one has ever done before. "Since its capacity doubled it should be able to hold 2 elements." Lothar headed back to the workbench and began to feel the circumstances of a gemstone he just picked up.

He started to change the properties inside to fire, after half of the stone was red he stoped and infused wind. "Crack" The gemstone split in half and was destroyed, he was surprised but not disspirited so he tried again, and again. "So, I have to use a different approach." He began to concentrate on two elements at the same time, fire and wind. Since these 2 elements complement each other. Lothar divided his mind and infused both elements at the same time, this time inside the gemstone a little vortex emerged. Red and gray energies flowed into the vortex and combined, soon the gemstone's color became dark pink.

"It worked, haha finally, nice let's see what it does. Identify!"
