Assassins in forest

It took almost half a day to convince yan to go back. Feng Ling and Shui Ling were granted the permission to accompany her to the palace with the fire queen and then return to Huainian country.

"My child I have prepared a carriage for you"the dragon emperor was well prepared to take his daughter back with him.

" Forgive me, I can't afford to sit in such a majestic carriage. I will go with my Rian "

(Rian is the horse given by the hell king for negotiations of taking back the huainian warriors).

"That stupid horse again!" Feng Ling clicked his tongue.

Yan rolled her eyes with him then whistled.

From the sky approached a figure rushing towards them.

Rian the hell winged horse was here. Just how many secrets does this small girl has. Yan touched her forhead with rian and stroked its back it gave a gentle neigh. She hopped on his back.

To break the awkwardness Da Lu suggested, "Fire empress we will take our leave now."

She nodded in agreement.

Shui Ling and Feng Ling even though not pleased by the thought of sending her into danger zone knowingly but had no option.

"Yan you know what to do. After you reach break the pearl in your side pocket. We will appear then. "

The Dragon emperor and the general bowed in respect and departed Yan followed them until all the figures disappeared into the thick woods.

"Shui Ling and Feng Ling"the fire empress had her own doubts" Who did that to Xue? ".Of course this was not a simple murder. It was assassination but who did it and how did they find this place.

" My queen we have no idea we were hunting with Yan then "Shui Ling pleaded.

" I will give you 3 months I want the assassin at my feet. "her rage was on its verge.

Not far away from her home , the dragon emperor, the general the soldiers and yan were riding to the capital. The animals who accompanied yan through her childhood were audience of her departing. Even being animals they felt the pain.

The emperor kept glancing at her. More or less she looked like her mother. Same flowing black hair, blue shiny eyes, small nose jade white skin thin figure. But the only difference about her and her mother was the aura around them. Xue had  pleasing, calming aura around her but yan has dominant and strong aura around her. The emperor chuckled to himself. Everyone looked back for what made him laugh except Yan. He slowed down his horse to keep up with Yan.

As they came side by side to each other, he spoke " Yaoyao"she seemed distracted but glanced at him, he continued "Are you not curious about the capital or the place you are going to stay?"

She thought for a minute then replied "No.Im not curious."

It was not that she was not curious but she was not in the mood to.

He continued "You will be given gorgeous clothes , so much delicious food to eat and big place to live and you won't have anything to fear about.. "

Annoyed she replied, "No clothes are more comfortable than my current attire , no food will be more delicious than my mom's food and no one can make me feel safe except uncle feng and shui. "

She glanced back at him and speeded her horse to escape his company.

He tried to catch up and then she took the initiative to talk, "the man riding ahead of us is ur general right? "

He was happy and sad at same moment. Happy she took initiative to talk to him sad that she was curious about her uncle not him. He nodded in agreement.

"I sense 15 men with murderous aura.Can't he sense them? "

Yes the emperor and general had already sensed them before their arrival , but they are not sure where they come from. They have to wait to attack.

"What do you think we should do? " he wanted to test her.

She looked at him for sometime then whispered the men you have around can't defeat them. I can take all 15 of them myself or I need some sort of way to lure them out to attack and you can kill them.But I don't want to be a meek person."

Wasn't this too straightforward way even knowing that they are here to kill and isn't she just being overconfident of her strength?

"Yan are you sure you.... . "

Before he could complete his sentence she had already stood on her horse. She jumped from her horse to the empty carriage top and then to the horse of general.

He was panicked.He looked back to see what was happening to see yan was sitting behind him. He was out of words he blurted out "Who am I? What am I? What am I doing here?What's going on? "

She was astonished by seeing him like that but they had no time, she whispered "where are bow and arrows".

He replied with haste, "the carriage in front of yours. ".

She hopped before his eyes to the weapon carriage.

The emperor neared him and said " Da Lu she sensed them, and told the exact same number as you did. She knows her stuff.

He looked at him with awe. But sure she was, she was his niece afterall.

"She is my daughter afterall. Don't you agree? ".

He left out a silent cry and agreed reluctantly.

The looming danger was not over in start only 15 we're there, but now number has increased to 20 .

She hopped back to the carriage top, "Gentlemen sit tight and protect yourself, I'm not responsible if someone sneak attacks you. "

She jumped to the air and shot 3 arrows while taking a full circle 3 down 17 left to go, she kept counting to herself. The men fell like birds falling from sky after hunting. There were arrows to her behind also but she dodged them easily. General Da Lu rushed to check one of the fallen assissins, but to only see it to be dead. It wasn't dead from arrows but was dead from poison inside it's mouth.

At last when it came down to 20th assassin it wasn't arrows anymore it was the dagger but this time it was front to front. Her arrow had already left her bow but this time it was a dagger coming towards her and there was no time to dodge what she could do was take a hit of it, because she was already unstable on the carriage and hadn't eaten for a day.

Before the dagger could hit her another dagger hit it to change its direction. It passed right by side her ear. The assassin was taken down and yan wasn't hurt.

She looked towards the emperor it was him who threw the dagger. If not she would have to take the poisoned dagger. She didn't like it, she had to now owe him. But unnaturally she didn't feel bad rather she felt good and sort of happy. He was looking at her with expecting eyes, for her to praise him for his skills and thank him.She just smiled at him reluctantly. Disappointed he ordered l call it a day when they reach a water body.

Yan was cleaning rian while other soldiers were setting up the tent.

Han Jeun was standing next to her, that's when Da Lu entered.

He was quick to report that the assassins poisoned themselves to death. But what was astonishing that they were not hit at the vital points. It was as if they were deliberately left. She spoke too casually "if I had hit the vital points they would have died on spot, and wouldn't it have been useless if they died without giving information who they worked for. And I don't want to do a human massacre. Excuse me. "

While Da Lu was stunned Han seemed happy.
