On the day when Wang Ling was chosen to be a part of the Selection for the position of the Son of Heaven. It was also the day when Qin Ao was deemed unqualified to be a part of it.

Qin Ao, the strongest youth of the Heaven's Will Academy, he is smart and is a monstrous genius that stands on top of the realm's younger generation. He was primarily the next candidate for the position for the Son of Heaven, but he has a flaw.

He was a bastard who kills for his own pleasure and commits acts that even the proper people of the Devil Path do not commit. He was a bastard wearing the mask of someone good.

He could have been chosen if not for him being a bastard and his lack of a pure heart and the will to actually carry the sin and guilt that had built up in his heart. Qin Ao was aware of this because he failed the First Trial of the Academy in a mere ten seconds.
