Hustling

"Yeah. Big Brother killed some beast and collected some blue colored marbles." Little Xin answered subconsciously.

"What?!" The lady in purple again took a good look at the seemingly harmless young man. She also made sure that his cultivation was really at the First Stage of Qi Condensation Realm.

"You broke through?! No, you two broke through together?" Asked the Lady in purple. She was surprised because just yesterday, she saw them having a first stage Qi Condensation Stage.

"Oh, what is happening?" Some of the customers near them asked.

"Are they in some sort of argument. Fighting is prohibited inside Rose Garden Pavilion, and she seems to be one of the staff too. That young man is going to be in trouble." Gossip started and it eventually spread throughout the room.

"Guest, please calm down. We are not arguing. I just unintentionally raised my voice. Please go back to your meal." Seeing that they caught some attention, the lady in purple immediately explained. She did not want this to be an issue, and if the people knew that the young man was carrying blue-colored beast cores, then chaos could start.

"Is that so? Then sorry for that miss." Rick heaved a sigh of relief when the crowd returned to their businesses.

"Young master, I'm sorry about that." The lady in purple apologized.

"It's okay. So what is the use of a beast core?" Rick asked.

"The common use of a beast core is to help a cultivator achieve a breakthrough through a bottleneck. Especially when you want to break through to the Foundation Establishment Realm. It increases the potential of a cultivator. But you would need assistance from an alchemist who can refine the beast core to pills. That's because beast cores contain a large amount of powerful spiritual energy. It is the essence of the beast. Refining them to pills will weaken the energy and your body won't explode after you consume it."

"Really? It will really implode the body?" Rick began to sweat when he heard that. It seems that if he did not have the system, then he would have died again.

"Yes. What's wrong big brother, you look pale." Little Xin noticed the change in Rick so she asked.

"Nothing! I am just hungry." He replied awkwardly and forced a smile.

"I apologize, young master. The food will be here shortly."

"It's okay. So do you also buy beast cores? I would like to sell some of them." He was also getting impatient. No matter where you go, money makes the world run. He needed to find a way to earn money. Not gold, but spirit stones. He also needed to buy pills and other materials needed. Although the system had a shop, they were all things in his previous life.

Cultivation would need a huge amount of resources. Once they reach the fifth stage of the Qi Condensation stage, then they would need to find a place with a large amount of spiritual energy.

"Yes. But you will have to visit the 7th floor of the building." the lady in purple replied.

"Okay, thank you." They would make a trip there after they finished their meal.

"Big sister, I also have a question." Little Xin said with a smile.

"Go ahead, young lady. Ask me anything." the lady in purple replied with a gentle smile. As a girl, she really wanted to cuddle the cute and adorable little girl.

"I am Xinxin, and this is my big brother, Shi Rong. What is your name?" Although she lived in a backwater village, she was very well-read.

"My name is Wei Ruyan." the lady in purple who was named Wei Ruyan smiled sweetly after she heard Little Xin.

"Thank you for your help, big sister Ruyan. I learned a lot." Little Xin also smiled and thanked her. Common knowledge was a treasure for them, they who are ignorant about the cultivation world.

"You can just give a signal if you need something." The lady in purple bowed before turning to leave.

After some minutes, the food finally came and the two ate merrily. They ate and rested for nearly an hour before paying and going up to their room. He left Little Xin in her room and went to the seventh floor.

As he was going up the stairs, he heard loud voices coming from the seventh floor.

"Elder Wang, can you please reconsider?" When Rick reached the seventh floor, he saw a young man talking to an old man who was seating behind the counter.

When Rick saw the old man, he felt that he had seen him before. Even the young man was giving him a weird sense of familiarity.

Unlike the other floors, the seventh floor was empty. But it was full of many things. There were many things displayed that Rick had never seen before.

"Just leave." the old man waved his hand.

"You really won't give our family a face?!" The young man's voice strengthened.

"Oh? You actually dare threaten me?!" An aura like the surging tides suddenly filled the room. The old man's face was now angry and he slammed the counter. The old man thought, 'Wtf? Who the hell changed the counter! It would normally have turned to dust after a single slam!'

Still, that did not change the fact that he was angry.

Bang! Rick felt the room tremble a little and his face changed.

'Core Formation Realm?!' He thought in shock.

The young man also collapsed on his butt when he felt the raging aura coming from the old man. Fear was evident in his eyes as he trembled slightly.

"I dare not threaten you, Elder Wang. I came here because my grandfather ordered me to negotiate with you." The young man said as he slowly stood up.

"Humph! Still threatening me? Even if Lin Tiandao personally came here, I won't give him anything! Scram!" The old man's voice suddenly strengthened several times. His face was contorted, Rick could see that he was resisting the urge to slaughter the young man. Rick could feel the suppressed killing intent from the old man when he said the name Lin Tiandao.

"Then I will convey your words to my grandfather. I will take my leave, Elder Wang." The young man flicked his robe and walked towards the exit where Rick was also located.

But when Rick finally saw the young man's face, his face suddenly changed and a wave of killing intent filled the room. The temperature seemed to go down a notch.

'Lin Tianlang!' Rick looked coldly at the incoming young man and a wide, cold and crazy smiled emerged in his mouth. Just as he was about to raise his hand and a Glock 17 appeared in his hand. Rick aimed the barrel at the back of the young man's head, but just as he was about to pull the trigger, he felt his body freeze.

'Old man!' Rick wanted to turn his head and curse at the old man, but he really could not move at all. He could only watch as the young man descended the stairs.

That's right, the young man was Lin Tianlang! The person the Shi Rong hated to the core.

It seems that Lin Tianlang did not even notice the change and continued to walk down the stairs. When Lin Tianlang was finally out if his vision, Rick felt that his body was released. He hurriedly turned back and looked at the old man.

"Old man, what do you think you are doing?!" He knew that the old man called Elder Wang was in the Core Formation Realm, But that did not deter him from speaking coldly.

"Humph! You dare attempt to kill in this building?!" The old man slowly stood up and looked at Rick coldly.

"Ho? Did you not attempt it earlier? You should be thankful that I was gonna kill him for you! If I did not come, I am sure that you would have already killed him." Rick also replied coldly.

"Humph!" The old man only snorted before taking returning to sit.

"What do you want? " The old man's voice returned to normal. His aura also subsided, he now looked like a normal old man. He glanced at Rick and a trace of surprise appeared on his face.

"You're that old man I met on the stairs." Rick also realized why he felt that he met the old man before.

"You are that kid?" The old man spoke when he recalled what happened earlier.

"The name is Shi Rong. You should be called Elder Wang, right?" Rick also smiled slightly as he replied. As if what happened earlier did not happen at all.

"Yeah. That's what people call me. So? What did you come here for?" Elder Wang as he studied Rick.

"I came here to sell beast cores." Rick was also studying the old man.

"Beast cores are in the eighth row, you can check them yourself." The old man closed his eyes when he could not find anything that interested him.

"No, old man. I came here to sell beast cores, not buy them." Seeing Elder Wang's attitude, Rick was not offended at all.

"Oh? You are selling them? That is rare. Come on take out what you have." Elder Wang opened his eyes.

"Ok." With a wave of his hand, 4 beast cores appeared on the counter. One blue, one golden and 2 white-colored beast cores.

Elder Wang just raised an eyebrow when he saw the beast cores appear. He was not impressed at all.

"You actually have a blue beast core? Where did you find that.. nevermind. A total of 950 gold coins. Well, I'll make it 1000 gold coins. Now scram!" The old man also waved his hand and a bag filled with gold appeared beside the beast cores.

"Humph. Don't think of cheating me. If a Purple beast core could be sold at 10,000 spirit stones, then how could a blue beast core only cost 500 gold coins? If I sell it to someone else..." Rick smiled and leaned on the table.

"Tsk!" The old man looked a little disappointed. "You are indeed not an idiot. Okay, here is 10,000. Now go.. shoo!" Elder Wang looked irritated as he added more.

"What do you mean, Elder Wang? A blue beast core is really that cheap? Then I won't sell." Rick was still smiling as the beast cores disappeared from the counter.

"Okay, Okay! What do you want?" The old man grew more irritated when he looked at Rick's smirk.

"5000 spirit stones! A purple beast core was sold for 10,000, so this should be a reasonable price, right?" Rick maintained his smile as he talked.

"Reasonable my ass! You are too naive! Do you really think that because the purple beast core was sold at 10,000 spirit stones last month, you can sell a blue one for 5,000? Hah! Then you can take your beast core and scram!" The old man finally raged. He looked at Rick like he was going to eat him.

"Okay, okay. Just give me a thousand spirit stones." Rick hurriedly surrendered. He already knew that there seems to be a rule binding the old man from killing inside the building, but he did not want to go too far.

"Humph!" Elder Wang snorted and with a wave of his hand, the sack of gold coins disappeared and a different sack replaced it. "500! You take it or you leave."

"Tss. Stingy old man." Rick murmured under his breath.

"What did you just say? Killing is prohibited in the Rose Garden Pavilion, but I can still get away from beating you!" The old man again snorted.

"Nothing. I think that you look very handsome. Bye!" Rick quickly stored the sack of spirit stones and hurriedly went ran to the stairs. But then he remembered something.

"Oh right, old man!"

"What?!" Elder Wang raged again. He had never been treated this way before and he really wanted to beat the young man to a pulp that even his mother won't recognize him.

"Do you sell any skill manual suitable for young girls?" Rick asked.

"For girls?" Suddenly, the image of a cute young girl appeared on his head.

"Yeah, I sell them." Elder Wang calmed down.

"How much is a single manual?" Rick returned to the counter and faced Elder Wang.

"It must be the young girl you are with earlier who will be using it, right?" Elder Wang asked. His face was serious and could tell that he was thinking of something important.

"Yeah. She is my younger sister." Rick replied.

"Okay. Since her cultivation is low, let her practice this. It is a gift, take it." The old man waved his hand and a book appeared. He handed it to Rick and immediately leaned to his chair and closed his eyes.

"You really giving it to me?" Rick asked, really not believing what he just heard.

"Hah! That is just a cheap manual. It does not even cost a hundred gold coins! Now scram, you rascal!" the old man's eyes snapped open and berated.

"Okay, okay. Why are you so impatient? Anyway, thanks for the cheap manual." Rick ran towards the stairs immediately.

But contrary to his expectations, Elder Wang only watched him leave with a thoughtful expression.

'Are they really siblings? How can they have a completely different elemental aptitude?' the old man did not dwell on it anymore and leaned on his chair and closed his eyes.
