In front of the iron sight of her rifle, Shigure saw a man drop on the ground like a doll with strings got cut. May man ground looks okay from outside, but his insides were blasted into pieces from the force generated by a bullet. It was not just an ordinary bullet, but .450 Marlin with a soft point called boar stopper.

As awakened the Fang Xieren possess the body that tougher and stronger than ordinary human but it was far cry from a body can block the bullet.

More than 200 yeards away from poachers. Behind the rock Shigure in crouching position with a push and pull of the lever, she ejected the empty cartridge from her rifle. From here, she can easily observe the whole scene and pick her target. She could easily hit man in head finish him off immediately, but after seeing man's action.

Shigure decided this man doesn't deserve an easy death, so she shot right under man's shoulder region hitting both of his lungs.

Mercenaries are confused by seeing Fang Xieren suddenly dropping the ground. Using that moment as chance, Shigure quickly moved iron sight and aimed at five people holding weapon shaped like a gun as her next target.

Followed by another gunshot, mercenaries saw another man drop on the ground with a bloody hole in his head.

"Sniper!"

Finally, mercenaries knew they are being targeted by a sniper. It was the worst possible situation for them as targeted by a sniper while battling against the black wolf that they don't know when will drop dead. If they continue the to fight against black wolf then they will be easily picked by the sniper one by one. If they try to run then the wolf and sniper both of them will kill them.

"Run!"

"No! you idiot!"

Two of five mercenaries holding the gun-shaped weapon tried to run while the other three immediately hunkered down in their place. As a result, shot down quickly by Shigure in quick succession.

"Fuck!"

They are now just like sheep stuck between the rock without any other way out waiting for the hunter to slaughter them. In front of mercenaries vicious beast ripping off their throat while sniper behind them taking lives with each sound of a bang.

Feeling imminent dread closing in as time goes mercenaries began to run for their lives despite knowing their chance of survival is close to none.

After a few minutes of turkey shooting, Shigure walked towards the black wolf after finishing off everyone. Minutes later wolf saw a tall figure appears behind the tree. It was human yet not human she dressed large coat with forest camo over a light black skin-tight suit.

From her body shape and what she wearing, she looked like a human but upon closer look wolf found two things made him think she definitely not human. First was a large pair of horns on her head and her large physique.

"Are you the one who helped me ?"

Asked black wolf stood in mid corpses he made. From his weak tone and pool of blood under the wolf, Shigure understood wolf in his death door. She gently puts her gun on the ground along with dagger she took from one of a mercenary.

"Yes."

It was a short and simple answer. A few moments later suddenly black wolf opened his mouth full of bloody fangs and begun to crackle.

"Getting killed by their weapons. Hahahaha!"

Shigure didn't get wolf's speech, but the wolf knows well weapon that Shigure used to kill those people was similar to the weapon used by hunters to hunt them in the past. Wolf lost his count that how many of his kins got killed by this weapon and how much he despised it.

But now ironically in his last moment, he is saved by the weapon he despised most and humans are this time hunted by their creation. Then he immediately stopped his laugher and spoke.

"Creature, what are your purpose for saving this dying wolf and his offspring without mother ?"

Black wolf knows there is no the way she will come to the centre part of this forest to rescue creature without any connection to her.

With just simple lie Shigure knows she can appear kind-hearted samaritan, but it would be hypocritical of her because she saved cubs cause of mission given by the system. She felt disgusted soon as that kind of thought entered her mind. Even without any kind of memory, the hate etched deep into her bone.

"I come to rescue and protect your cubs for an unknown reward promised to me."

Shigure said without hiding anything.

"Heh, so you saying you come to protect them not to enslave them ?"

With a snort, wolf asked as if he is mocking her.

Hearing the machine like a voice in her head Shigure confidently replied.

"I promise I will not enslave them but protect them as if my own child."

"Even against something you cannot fight against ?"

Shigure got nothing to say about one as she doesn't know because she hasn't faced that kind of foe.

Seeing Shigure in deep thought about fighting against an opponent she cannot fight last doubt in black wolf's mind disappeared.

"I gratefull for your honesty for telling me the truth. Now I can die beside my female without regret. The creature does not forget your promise."

After a simple warning, the black wolf slowly moved towards a corpse of a wolf with beautiful white fur. After laying beside his female black wolf took his last breath.
