Portion 17: The Bath

Lyana Debaux's POV

I was looking around for the separating screen for me to change from the dress that I have been wearing right now. Edmond was still on the bed as he was looking intensely at me. I rolled my eyes at him.

"What?" I asked him before I was untying my cap before I was putting it on the drawer as I was working to untie my apron before I was putting it on the drawer as well.

"Are you trying to strip in front of me right now?" Edmond asked before I turned to look at him. I arched my eyebrow.

"No, I was trying to get naked so that I can bath," I said before I was registering what I was saying at him. I blushed before Edmond smirked.

"Well, I think I might take on your offer to give me a bath as well," he said before I was pulling the neckerchief out of the stay that I had underneath. I don't know how the women of this era can wear this kind of garment.

I would be knocked down if I have to move in this garment!

I was putting the neckerchief on the apron before Edmond was breathing down my neck. I stiffed as he was caressing my neck. I don't think that he was being intimate with me right now. I gulped.

"Edmond, what are you doing?" I asked him as my heart was beating so fast right now. I was breathing heavily before Edmond was kissing my exposed shoulder blade where the neckerchief has covered them before.

"I don't know,"

"You don't know?"

"Yes! One moment, I was thinking of having you behind bars before I was looking at your sinful body as you were stripping down to bathe. I don't…I don't know what was happening with me," Edmond said before he was moving out of my personal space. I liked him next to me and before I knew it, I was holding his wrist.

Edmond looked at me before I was locking eyes with him.

"Lyana—"

"I have my reason for why I have to take the Tanzanite of Africa to be in my possession and not in the hands of the Louvre," I said as I was looking at Edmond before he was furrowing his eyebrows. I released his hand before I was putting my hands on my stomach.

"I know you might not believe me when I tell you this but I have to do it or the world that we know it, it will be destroyed," I said before I was looking outside the window as I was looking at the streets.

Most of the people were not on the streets anymore as it was past 8 PM. I sighed before Edmond was asking me the million-dollar question.

"What is it? Does it have to do with the time travel?" He asked as I was looking at his reflection. I sighed before I was nodding at him.

"Yes,"

"Wait, what was the book that you were reading, the family history, as they mentioned something about 'The Book of Time Bloodline'?" He asked before I was furrowing my eyebrows at him.

"What do you mean? How do you know about it?" I asked Edmond before he was smiling as he was pacing back and forth before he was mumbling something.

"Edmond, how do you know about that book?" I asked him as he stopped before he was coming and me and gripped my arms.

Are we here to stop world history? Is that why the gem sent us back here?" he asked before I was looking at him right now. How did he…was he a spy?

With that thought, I was attacking him when I was not having my neckerchief and I was pushing him to the ground before I was pulling a dagger out of my sheath that I was tying on my thigh. I was putting it under his chin before Edmond was pulling his hand as a surrender.

"Talk now and I swear if you lie, I will not hesitate to end you," I said as I was looking menacingly at him. Edmond was gulping as his Adam's apple was bopping up and down as I was looking at it. It was a sensual move all of a sudden.

"Okay, okay. I will but can you put the knife away,"

"It's a dagger,"

"Whatever, it was the same to me," he said before I was gripping the hilt before I was pushing it further to his skin.

"Now, talk,"

"Okay. I got that book from my friend who has experienced the time travel before with his…acquaintance and they managed to stop someone that was working with the communists to ensure that communists win the Cold War," Edmond said before I was narrowing my eyes at him.

"I swear that's all I know and he gave me that book but I was putting it inside my locker back in Scotland. And I don't read the book yet as I just skipped the index list before I was transferred to Paris," Edmond said as I was looking at his face.

His eyes were on me as he was not looking at anything else. He was not lying and I was removing the dagger before I was putting inside the sheath again. I was glaring at him before I was off from him.

Edmond was gripping his chin before I stood up and he was standing in front of me. I was pulling my skirt high enough as I was putting the dagger inside its sheath before I noticed that Edmond was staring at me.

"What?"

"You have a dagger on your body this whole time?"

"Yeah so? A girl needs to protect herself, you know," I said before I was untying the dagger sheath before I was untying the garter as I was rolling the stocking down my leg. I can see that Edmond was gulping before I turned to look at him and he was staring at something else.

I can see the tip of his ears were red and I think I still have some effect on him even though he promised to take me to prison after this was fixed.

"See anything that interests you, Mr. Lattone?" I asked before Edmond was walking to the door before he was opening it and went outside. I smirked before I was working on my garments. Then, I went inside the tub and I was cleaning myself without an audience to entertain.

Edmond Lattone's POV

I was breathing hard when I was looking at Lyana's luscious thigh and leg as she was unrolling the stockings. I cannot seem to get myself under control as I know that I might be jumping on her when she least expected it.

"Is there anything that I can help you with?" A voice was talking to me before I saw the barmaid from earlier.

"Huh?"

"Is the room no to your liking? Or has the missus throw you out?" she asked before she was checking me out. What was it with the French that they have to be so bold with their sexual innuendos?

I smiled at the barmaid before I was shaking my head.

"No, it was nothing. I don't think that I was being thrown out, I was just—"

"Oh, don't be so shy. I know you and your wife are not happily married so why not I will warm your bed tonight?" She asked as she was coming at me before I was pushing myself to the door.

"Miss, I—" and before I can finish that sentence, the door was opened and I was thrown backward before I was landing at something soft.

Soft?

I looked up as I saw that Lyana was smiling at me before she was holding her towel dangerously loose and I was gulping before she smiled as she was glaring at me with her eyes. Then, she turned to look at the barmaid.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I have been changing and there was no separating screen so I asked my husband to get out for a minute so that he might be surprised for the bath that I have planned for him and me," Lyana said before she pushed me behind her and she was smiling at the barmaid.

So, anyway thank you. We don't need you anymore, bye-bye," Lyana said before she closed the door on the barmaid's face and she turned to look at me as she was glaring at me.

She was mad and that was not a good sign right now.
