The escape

"I will be the first to admit. I didn't expect him to finish that quickly." Gold honestly spoke as he sat in front of the familiar chess board.

"I'm not sure what you were expecting considering he was a fully grown man." Sona retorted as she moved her knight.

"Well I was betting on old habits dying hard. Who knew that all he needed was the right motivation to get him going?" Gold sighed as he thought back on what happened.

He had expected Riser to take a few days, possibly a week to get all the way to the top of the stairs. But with his peerage's breast size on the line, he learned fast. It only took Riser a day to make it to the top of the stairs. Obviously Gold had underestimated the man's intelligence.

"I AM RISER PHENEX!" Those were the words that the man was shouting at the top of his lungs the moment he had reached the top. Gold would not forget the visage of a man, who had bloodshot eyes cry out to the world. The way his voice croaked at the end of his journey, the amount of mental stress visible through his expression.

"Anyway, to give Rias's group extra time to train for the rating game. Riser agreed to give her two weeks and to allow Akemi to join in as long as I don't personally participate." Gold neglected to mention that Riser also wanted him to restore his Peerage member's bust size. Which he agreed to give him the cure.

"Obviously, I noticed the way he was looking at you. I've seen soldiers with PTSD give the same look." Sona seemed to chuckle a little at the memory. "Anyway, are you sure two weeks is enough for Rias to win against him?"

"It's actually not necessary. Akemi can win on her own." Gold replied with complete assurance.

"Is she that strong?" Sona questioned, she had seen Akemi before. She didn't look very powerful.

"Absolutely, she may look like a pushover sometimes. But I can guarentee that she can hold her own against high-class devils with ease." Gold personally trained the girl by throwing her at the most bull-shit situations he could think of.

"Check-mate." Sona sat back, after finishing the game.

"Tsk." Gold clicked his tongue.

"If it's any consolation, you're getting better." Sona stated as fact.

"Yeah, but chess was never really my thing. Plus I just dislike losing in general." Gold sighed as he lazily glanced around the room.

Then he saw it. His pupils constricted at a sight that gave him chills.

"Sona... do you always keep recording spells in your room?" He shakily asked as he pointed at the offending hidden spell in the corner of the room. He could be overthinking it. Spells could look incredibly similar to others. The same spell could have different variations depending on the user. The only problem was, Gold was very familiar with this specific variation that he was staring at.

"Oh, I guess my sister put that there." Sona sighed as she was used to finding her sister's spells. She got up to dispell the offending brand of magic, missing the realization that was dawning in Gold's eyes.

By R.O.B. it all makes sense now! How unlucky could I get!? Normally I'd brush off being spied on by Serafalll, since I would just assume that she's trying to keep tabs on the shady people her sister interacts with. But there have been way too many signs of her doing completely unnecessesary things as of late. Which means that she's probably affected by that damn yandere curse.

"Well, I'd like to talk about my reward for helping your friend out." I kept myself calm outwardly. I need to defuse the situation that I'm currently in and stay as far away as possible from Serafall. Sure a yandere could be hot, but when they are more powerful than you and boosted 5x. I'd rather not risk anything.

"You mean about setting up a meeting with you and my sister?"

"Yeah, I'd like to change it. I don't think she's the right magic teacher for me." I think it'll be better if I settled for just a small favor in the future.

"Oh? What brought about this change of mind?" Sona asked, confused on why I would say this.

"Well she's a devil and I'm a human. I think it'd be better if I found a more human teacher." A weak excuse to be sure, but Sona isn't the type to pry on these matters.

"Alright, let's re-negotiate then." Sona accepted it to my relief.

WITHIN ANOTHER DIMENSION

"I thank you for accepting this meeting again. There has just been many unforseen delays popping up lately." Sirzechs spoke as he joined the meeting with a foreign pantheon. Normally this would just be left to Serafall but after blowing off the last few meetings, Sirzechs had to show sincerity by making an appearance himself.

By his side, Serafall Leviathan seemed to be silently smiling. Yet her mind was at a completely different location. Luckily no one noticed the way her eyes went hollow.

"I don't think she's the right magic teacher for me." Was what he said

"I don't think she's right for me." Was what she heard.

Did he just reject her? No, of course he didn't. He hadn't even met her yet. Obviously he just made a mistake. He doesn't know what he wants. It's probably her fault, she should have been there to show him exactly what he wants. No... what he needs.

"I need to be somewhere." Serafall abruptly stood up.

"Serafall, this is important!" Sirzechs whispered out urgently to her. He shut his mouth as the Leviathan's neck seemed to creak as she robotically turned to her fellow Satan.

"Now now Sirzechs-chan~. I have important lady things to do. You can handle this, can't you?" She smiled with her regular sing-song attitude, but her eyes made Sirzechs instincts light up with danger signals. Instead of responding, he simply nodded mechanically.

"Great! See you all later~!" She happily spoke while tearing an opening in space instead of leaving by magic circle.

"That woman reminded me of my wife for a moment." One of the foreign gods shuddered.

"Well, nice to see that you still see her in a positive light." Sirzechs responded in relief at now blowing it.

"I didn't mean that in a good way." The foreign god retorted.

"Alright, while I enjoy these meetings. I gotta get going." Gold said with a smile as they finished re-negotiating the terms of the deal.

"I enjoy these talks as well. I look forward to our next match." Sona said as she adjusted her glasses.

Standing up, Gold made to leave the room until the sound of space ripping apart entered his attention.

"Nee-san?!" Sona squeaked out in surprise as she watched her sister's head pop out of the dimensional tear

"Oh no." Gold seemed to become a little pale.

"Oh yes~!" Serafall sang out in a melodious voice.

"I have somewhere to be, BYE!" Gold started to dive out the window, only to find his legs frozen in place. "Tsk" he clicked his tongue

"It's rude to leave a girl abruptly you know. Why don't you introduce me to your future brother in-law So-tan~." Serafall turned to her sister with a sweet smile.

For some reason Sona felt that her sister was acting odd, well odder than usual. She was about to introduce him until she registered what her sister said at the end. "Brother in-law?" Sona asked confused.

"Of course! He's my future hubby after all~!" She gestured to Gold who was rooted to the ground as he continued to break the ice that was continuously encroaching up his body. He felt like an idiot for not preparing enchantments for cold-based attacks.

"I'm pretty sure we've never met before, much less agreed to any kind of engagement!" Gold reflexively retorted as he tried to melt the ice with pyromancy, but it only slowed the rate at which he was being frozen. He considered spamming weapons at it, but refrained in fear of impaling himself.

"Aww, don't be like that. We've known about each other for a long time now. It was obviously like love at first sight! No, even better since we knew about each other before meeting! It's like destiny~!" The Leviathan declared with stars in her eyes. Then she turned back to Gold as she just realized something.

"Oh right I never introduced myself, silly me." She realized as she didn't want to make their first meeting weird. Faster than Gold's eye could track, she disappeared and reappeared with her arms wrapped around his neck and shoulders.

"I'm Serafall Leviathan. Normally I tell people to call me Sera-tan or Levi-tan but you can call me whatever you like~." Her tone was incredibly sexy to Gold, that was until she grabbed the back of his head and forced him to look at the insanity within her eyes. "As LoNg aS YoU STaY WiTh mE FoREveR AnD EVeR." The distorted demonic voice nearly made Gold piss himself. He hadn't felt this much instinctual fear in a long time.

'RONG!! I NEED HELP!' Gold sent out a mental distress call in his mind.

Manifesting in a burst of golden rays, an explosion of light sent Serafall flying back. The last thing that Sona could see of Gold was the image of him flying off in the distance, riding a golden spear like a hover-board.

"Nee-san!" Sona panicked as she noticed her sister had deep burn marks on her skin, radiating an incredibly potent holy energy. As if she was burned with the holiest of light. An ocean of demonic power oozed out of her sister as she stood up. The residual holy energy being forcibly removed through raw power.

"Don't worry So-tan~. He's JuST PlaYIng hARd To GeT!" Sona shuddered at the broken expression that her sister revealed before she flew out the window in pursuit.
