* On Denying the Incarnation

- How will you if a spirit is from God or not?

1. The spirit is from God if it's faith abides in God.  It would teach us the truth, like we had the hunch or instinct that it is a truth not a false doctrine

- Explain verse 4:4 in your own words.

2. Little children is from God because they can conquer their fears.  They believe the one who is greater than their fears is God.

- How can we recognise the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of falsehood?

3. There is love and mercy in the Spirit of Truth, there is hatred, deceit and anger in the spirit of falsehood.

* God's love and Others

- Why should we love one another?

1. Because it is God's commandment to love one another.

- How did God showed His love among us?

2. His Son died on the cross, to cleanse us in our sins by His Blood.  And He was raised up after 3 days.

- Read verse 4:15 again, what does it take to acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God? How does one acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God?

3. Whoever confesses the Jesus is the Son of God or the Messiah,  he is remained in him by his own faith in Christ.

- What kind of fear is verse 18 talking about? Is it different from the fear of the Lord [Proverbs 9:10] Explain/defend your answer.

4. God is love. Perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. So the one who fears has not reached perfection in love

- Why is it not acceptable to say that you love God but not love your brother/sister?

5. We love[ because He first loved us.  Keeping God's Commands.  (this is not bullshit! it tells about love of God!)  If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For the person who does not love his brother he has seen cannot love the God he has not seen. And we have this command from Him: The one who loves God must also love his brother.
