Battle trial ( Part 2 )

At the monitoring room, the rest of class 1A could be seen gasping in surprise at the drastic change in Max's demeanour. Momo hesitantly commented:

" He's... Quite into it, isn't he? ". Several of them nodded their heads in agreement. Even All Might had to agree with them.

" Yes... Young Maxwell is doing his role as a villain wonderfully! You should all have the same burning spirit he has when it's your turn! "

" Woah! I didn't know he was this strong! He's taking the both of them on like they're chumps. " Denki said, impressed by the display of skill he was showing. Todoroki also voiced his thoughts, making the rest of them surprised due to how quiet he was.

" Despite having good fire power and fighting skill, they were severely outclassed. His combat skills and quirk are leagues above them "

' He might be strong as me... '

Momo nodded at the reasoning.

" While he doesn't show us much about him, his plan to divide and conquer tells us that he's a logical fighter "

" I know this is manly and all! But isn't he a bit brutal with them?! ". Kirishima couldn't help but asked.

" Fear not, my young wards! If it goes too far, I will end the battle! That said, what he's doing is what you should expect from a real villain! They will show you no mercy so you must be prepared at all times! ".

' Though, I'm hopping that this is all acting from young Maxwell. '

' Katchan... ' a certain green haired nerd thought, worried about his childhood friend.

" I wonder what they're talking about? These cameras don't have any sound ". Hagakure wondered out loud.

" That's because they are communicating with micro transceivers. They were given them before the battle ".

After witnessing Bakugou getting pummeled by Max, they watched as he stood there talking for a while before doing something that made All Might tensed up and shivered at the image.

Max suddenly smiled widely, raising his thumbs and using them to push the corners of his mouth up. To the class, it seemed like a mocking gesture. But to All Might, it brought up the memories of his former sense.

' ... Nana... ' he thought while hiding his clenched fist from the class.

" Where's your smile heroes? I thought you annoying heroes always have a smile when you're saving people or is that something All Might just do? ". Looking at their struggling form, he gave them one more thing to think about.

" If you can't save yourselves, how can you expect to save other people?! ". He said while releasing an oppressive pressure that he had built up while training with Aizawa for years, making the both of them tensed up in fear. Deciding that they had enough, he picked up a beaten Bakugou and threw him towards Iida who was trying to stand up, knocking the both of them out.

" Villain team wins! ". Came All Might's announcement, ending the first battle.

His face immediately returned to a stoic one, he walked over to the unconscious form of his classmates before picking the both of them up and putting them on the stretcher brought by the medic bots. He then returned to the monitoring room where his classmates were waiting. Only to promptly get smacked in the head by a giant hand upon entering the room. A pouting Itsuka could be seen with her arms crossed.

" I told you not to overdid it, Baka! "( I had to include this...)

He then looked at her with the most innocent face he could make, making her falter for a bit before returning to her stern gaze.

" Oh don't give me that ' I can't help it look ', you could have knocked them out instantly instead of toying with them. " to which he replied: "... But the role demanded it ".

Her eyebrows twitched at the response, sighing softly, she then told him:

" Promised me that you won't toy with our classmates again. ". Hearing her statement, he adopted a thoughtful look for a moment before shrugging.

"... I'll give you a massage. And I'll... try. " making her perked up the massage part.

While this was going on, the class could only awkwardly looked at the two and thought:

' They're acting like an old married couple! '

The second match was between team J, Kirishima and Sero, as the villain team and team C, Kendo and Yaoyorozu, as the hero team. Sero covered the room with his tape as an extra defense while they waited for the hero team.

After a few minutes, footsteps could be heard from outside of the room.

" Here they come! "

" This is gonna be a manly fight! ".

Instead of the two girls, a flash bang came flying through the door, blinding Kirishima who was standing in front while Sero was relatively safe due to his helmet and reacting in time to cover his eyes. Uncovering his eyes, he saw the figure of Itsuka with her giant fist ready coming to him. Acting quickly, he shot his tape towards her, wrapping a fist in it.

" Ha! Got you! ". He then pulled as hard as he can, only to accomplish nothing. Seeing her hands not even budging and a slight smirk on her face, Sero could only yell out:

" Eh?! Oh shi- ". Getting literally yanked by her, he was met with a giant fist to the head, getting knocked out and having a comically large bumb on his head.

Seeing that her opponent is down to the count, Itsuka tied Sero up with her capture tape before looking over at her partner, who is currently using a grenade launcher to launch a sticky substance towards Kirishiman, slowing him down and effectively trapping him in place. Touching the bomb and getting a " Hero team wins! " over the speaker, they returned to the class after helping their friends out of their confinement. The next match was between team B, Todoroki and Shoji, and team I, Hagakure and Ojiro. While the match was getting started, Bakugou and Iida came back from the infirmary.

' ... Bakugou looks quite... Shaken? It seems that I broke his pride more than I thought... And seeing Todoroki's match will affect him more... '. Indeed, after Todoroki's show of power, if you looked closely, you could see him shaking a little and his hands are clenched white.

But the next match made me internally sighed in relief while thinking.

' ... It seems that they are destined to be rivals '

" The next battle will be between team A and team... D?! Iida, Bakugou, you both can choose not to participate in this match and- ". Before All Might could finished his sentence, Bakugou spoke up, surprising him due to how quiet the boy was.

" I'll do it. I'll beat Deku! ". Looking up, there's a burning rage in his eyes, making our teacher look at him for a while before moving on to Iida's choice.

" If that's my teammate's wish, then so be it "

Watching the match, I couldn't help but notice that Bakugou was being more... vicious in his hits than he was in the original series. A bloodied face, a broken bone and his costume being destroyed, Izuku definitely got it worse than the manga. Even if the result was the same.

Seeing that Bakugou got his spirit back after Izuku's protagonist speech, I could only walked home with Itsuka, thinking how chaotic it was and wishing it being better.

" So... About that massage? ". Itsuka said while giving me a sly, suggestive smile.

' ... The day got better. '
