Special Officer Chaton

Rey and Mia headed towards the marine ship with captured Whitecap. Contrary to Mia's thought, they were harshly punished for acting without their superior permission by ship's Lieutenant commander.

Rey and Mia were suspended for one week, and they also won't get the bounty reward for arresting Whitecap.

Rey was calm though since he already knows the outcome will be like this. He knows the higher rank marines in four blues are selfish and greedy for powers.

But Mia is different, she was angry and disappointed in her Marine superiors. "Even if we aren't appreciated for capturing the pirate, that's okay... but, why should they punish us? We didn't do anything wrong and they even canceled our bounty reward."

"Mia, Don't be angry. Do you think I captured Whitecap for Reward and promotion?" Rey asked.

"In this world, only your personal strength matters. I fought him today for improving my battle experiences; Moreover, do you think the higher up's in Marine headquarters won't know our actions?"

"They know?" Mia doubtfully asked.

"Of course they know. Our entire marine base has been monitored and our actions are recorded. Headquarters has reports of our every accomplishment and misconduct." Rey revealed since he already knows the intelligence network of the Marines.

"Our top priority is to practice and increase our strength to get selected into the training camp."

"Mn. I understand." Mia said with determined eyes.

It's been ten days since the battle, and only two day remains since the start of the assessment.

Rey was currently training his fist technique in the forest behind the marine base. His practicing looks simple as he was only punching and kicking the air again and again.

But if one noticed closely, they would hear a faint sound like 'swish' as if the air itself is pierced. The technique Rey practicing is mainly about how fast your punch and how many times you punch in a second. Even though it's not strong now, it will be in the future!

Taijutsu skills like Morning peacock, Daytime Tiger, Leaf dragon god are ultimate skills which don't require any chakra only physical strength strong enough to compress the air.

Around five in the evening, every marine soldier was stationed at the Island dock to welcome the special officer. Rey was also curious, who the special officer is.

Soon, Rey saw a large Marine ship in the distance. It looked like a standard Marine ship but little larger and equipped with many cannons; Like a mini version of battleship.

Once the ship reached the harbor, a group of marine soldiers came out holding long rifles.

Soon, every marine on the land courteously saluted to welcome the special officer.

Then, the special officer finally came out of the ship; He has broad shoulders, an angular jawline, thin eyes, thick eyebrows, and a sharp nose. He also has a large mouth and was smoking a pipe.

He wore a dark-colored fedora hat, a unique Marine jacket with a high collar similar to admiral.

Rey was startled to see the special officer because he knows him. The special officer none one other than Tokikake also known as chaton(Brown pig).

He and Momousagi are the two marine Vice-Admirals qualified for Admiral position after the Paramount war. Even though they didn't promote to Admirals, their strength wasn't to be questioned.

Surprisingly, a high-level marine came to south blue as a Special Officer. Maybe, right now Tokikake isn't even vice admiral but from this Rey could discern Marine Headquarters attached great importance in this training camp.

"I finally arrived", Tokikake spoke. He could feel the Marine soldiers around him looking up to him with great respect and admiration.

"Tomorrow, we will conduct the assessment; Every marine soldier below 30 can participate in it."

"The ones who pass the evaluation will be able to join the Elite training camp conducted by the Headquarters. Now everyone can go and rest so that you can demonstrate your abilities to the fullest tomorrow."
