The Day of assessment,

Morning around 9 AM, every marine recruit were gathered on the training area. The whole training ground was bustling with activity, many marine soldiers, High ranked officers and some important key persons could be seen.

Like Z, Garp, Tsuru, and even newly appointed Marine Admiral Aokiji could be seen at the highest ground, overseeing the entire training ground which is divided into ten stages for the upcoming battle.

"Arara, It seems like this group of recruits are huge in number, let's see if there's anyone worth nurturing. Garp san, do you have anyone mind who's worth looking into?" Aokiji asked.

Soon, Fifty-some elite marine soldiers came to the training grounds, they looked fierce and domineering, while some emanated a fearsome and bloody aura.

One of the instructors under Z came forward and announced, they can pick their own opponents to fight. If not, the soldiers will pick the target.'

Some of the recruits with weak mental fortitude unconsciously took a few steps back in fear.

Soon, the elite Marine soldiers began to pick their target noticing no one is coming to fight; Many of the recruits quit the fight before they even went to face the soldiers.

Time passed by, many recruits fought with the elite soldiers and some even survived for 10 minutes since the elite soldiers are also humans who can be defeated.

Rey also decided to enter the stage to fight and noticed a familiar figure in the elite soldiers who wore a blue boxing glove.

He is the future Commander Glove and one of the Marine commanders that helped in the Buster Call on Enies Lobby.

'He should be a good target to test my strength.' Rey thought and jumped on to the battle stage to face Glove.

With just one look, Glove decided the recruit before him is powerful as he could feel the dangerous aura from Rey.

Glove took his boxing stance with a grimace and ready to face any attacks. Rey also didn't wait, he straight away charged and punched his fist at Glove.

The punch was powerful as the surrounding marines could hear a 'booming' sound. Glove equally countered the attack with his own punch, and as a result, he took a few steps back while Rey backed two steps.

The battle continued, and it was intense. Glove's rapid punches were a serious pain in the ass as it was fast and powerful.

Rey's movements were smooth like a flowing river, he was able to dodge his opponent's attacks with no wasted movements.

Suddenly, one of the punches from Rey struck Glove's stomach sending him flying. From the start, Rey didn't use his full strength so when he increased speed by a little his opponent wasn't able to dodge his sudden fast attack.

"You..." Gloved exclaimed since he could tell Rey was just playing with him. Enraged, Glove roared.

'Soru'

Suddenly, Glove's figure began to blur and before Rey could react, a punch came to his face. Thankfully, his reaction is fast as he blocked the high-speed attack using his hands.

Even so, Rey was pushed back a few steps. 'What speed! As expected, practicing the Rokushiki grants the user inhuman abilities, it's not to be underestimated.'

Even though Glove's Soru is not at the level of Cipher pol, it's decent enough for an elite marine soldier.

At first, Rey wasn't able to respond to Glove's attack but eventually, he adapted to the speed of his opponent and began to counter-attack.

Not even 10 minutes had passed since both Rey and Glove started their battle but Glove was out of breath facing the waves of attacks while Rey appeared full of spirit without any fatigue.

For Glove, it's not anymore a simple battle of assessment but about his self-esteem and pride. If he suffered a defeat here, he will be humiliated by his fellow colleagues.

At the same time, Rey was also not able to land a solid hit on Glove as he was using 'Soru' to dodge.

'Looks like, I can only use that,' Rey mused.

His stamina was not endless, Rey wants to finish the battle as soon as possible.

Glove charged at Rey once more, when he was neared Rey and was about to punch his opponent. Suddenly, under the watchful eyes of Marines, Rey spun at high speed and even air around him began to spin.

A high-speed kick struck Glove's stomach and send him flying out of the battle stage. Glove coughed a mouthful of blood and fainted on the spot.

Yes, the technique is none then the Taijutsu technique of Guy and Lee, where they kick the opponent by spinning at high speed.
