A middle-aged man came into the house. He had long black hair, a handsome face, green eyes and wore a black robe. Drog, Lucia, big sister Ri and Jin, all turned towards him.
"Daddy!" Jin shouted out and ran up to the middle-aged man.
"Jin'er." The middle-aged man patted his son's – Jin's head and the boy happily laughed in response.
"Welcome home, Yu Bo," big sister Ri said with a smile on her face.
Yu Bo looked away from his son and looked at his wife. He nodded his head. "Yeah." He then looked at Drog and Lucia. "You two must be Drog and Lucia."
"That's right," Drog said.
"My wife said that you two want to join the sect."
"Right again."
"Very well." Yu Bo looked at his wife. "I will take them to the sect."
"Mhm," big sister Ri said as she nodded head.
"Daddy, you are leaving?" Yu Jin said.
"I am."
"Can you please stay, daddy," Yu Jin pleaded.
"Sorry, but I can't." Yu Bo looked at Drog and Lucia. "Let's go."
Drog nodded his head. He looked at big sister Ri. "I will see you later, big sister Ri."
Big sister Ri nodded her head. "Yeah. See you later, my little Drog."
Drog looked at Lucia. "Let's go."
"Okay, big brother Drog."
"Lucia," Yu Jin said.
Lucia turned her head to Yu Jin's voice and saw him approach her. She titled her head to the right. "What is it?"
Yu Jin pecked Lucia's lips and her eyes widened from surprise. But before she or anyone else could say a single word, Yu Jin ran into the house.
Yu Bo nodded his head in approval. Big sister Ri raised her hand and gently laughed into it. "Don't get upset, Drog. They are just kids."
"Big brother, Drog. He…," Lucia said as she looked into the house to where Yu Jin disappeared into.
"It's fine, Lucia," Drog said.
"But, he…"
"Lucia, it's fine."
Lucia nodded her head. "Alright, big brother Drog." She looked at big sister Ri. "Goodbye."
"Goodbye, Lucia," big sister Ri said.
"Alright. Let's go," Yu Bo said. He, Drog and Lucia walked out of the house and left the village.
"Drog, did you really run away because my wife called you trash?" Yu Bo said as he led Drog and Lucia in the direction of the town where Drog took the sect admission tests ten years ago.
Drog glanced at Yu Bo. "I didn't run away. I simply left. And me leaving has nothing to do with big sister Ri."
Yu Bo looked at Drog. "Then who does it have to do with?"
"Me and no one else."
"So why did you leave?"
"I left simply because I wanted to leave. As for why I wanted to leave, it's my business alone. Now let me ask you something."
"Go ahead."
"Your son is eight years old, but he is living with big sister Ri and is not in the sect, why is that?"
Yu Bo shook his head. "I wanted to take him into the sect when he was five years old, but when I brought it up with my wife, she started sobbing that she would lose Jin'er as she lost you. But now that you are back, I am going to bring it up with her again. Hopefully, Jin'er will be in the sect by next week."
"If he lives that long," Drog thought.
"Tell me about Lucia, Drog. Where did you find her?"
"Big sister Ri must have told him about Lucia shattering the martial talent testing stone," Drog thought and said, "It doesn't matter. There are no other children in that village."
Yu Bo sighed. "That's too bad. A prodigy like her comes only once in a million years."
"And a prodigy like me comes one in a sextillion years," Drog thought and said, "The three children that you took from my village – Go, Ro and No. How are they doing in the sect?"
"Go became the inner sect disciple a few weeks ago while Ro and No are both outer sect disciples."
"What about their cultivation levels?"
"Go is a peak martial mortal while Ro and No are in the middle of the same realm."
Drog nodded his head in understanding. "I see," he said and Liu Ri spoke in his head, "The sword sect is a joke of the sect, if one can become an inner sect disciple with such pathetic cultivation base."
"What cultivation base did someone had to have to become an inner disciple in your sect, master?" Drog said to Liu Ri in his head.
"At the bare minimum one had to be a martial emperor."
"What about the core disciple then?"
"A high-god."
Drog, Yu Bo and Lucia walked in silence for six hours before it was disturbed by Yu Bo when he said, "You two must be hungry, should we stop?"
"You don't have to worry about us. Both me and Lucia have awakened our dantians," Drog said.
"I see."
Drog, Yu Bo and Lucia walked in silence for another six hours before they entered the town.
"Where to now?" Drog said.
"Now we leave the town through the west exit and continue on."
"How long will it take us to reach the sect?"
"A few weeks of walking."
…
"We are here," Yu Bo said as he stopped. Drog and Lucia stopped as well. In front of them, they saw a bridge which led upwards and by the bridge they saw two youths of around seventeen years old dressed in white robes. These two youths were the disciples of the sword sect.
"Let's go," Yu Bo said. He, Drog and Lucia walked up to the bridge and stopped.
The two youths bowed their heads. "Welcome back, elder," they said in unison and raised their heads. Their eyes fixated on Lucia. She noticed this and glanced at Drog.
Drog slightly nodded his head. Lucia smiled.
