Drog read the tome of the technique: white tiger's palm, from the beginning to the end. Finishing it, he closed it and stored it inside of his pendant. "White tiger's palm…" he thought and then smirked. "It's the first offensive technique that I came in contact with, but I can't think of a technique that is more suitable for me. It relies on two things and two things alone, body and Qi. The powerful my body and Qi are, the powerful white tiger's palm becomes."
Drog stood up. "White tiger palm has two levels," he thought. "Although I can't improve its first level, I can improve its second one. The second level is as simple as adding Qi which is devoid of all elements onto the palm, but what if I add fire Qi, wood Qi, water Qi, metal Qi, earth Qi, darkness Qi or spatial Qi. That will be the second level of my own white tiger's palm. The third level will be combing two elements into one and adding them onto the palm. The third level will be combining three elements and adding them onto the palm. The final level will be combining all of my elements and adding them onto the palm. Let's reach the first level first."
Drog put his right foot forward and left foot back, right arm forward and left arm back. He clenched his right hand into a fist while making a palm out of his left hand. In one swift motion, he placed his left foot forward, slid his right foot back and finished off by pushing his left hand forward. "Now I just practice these moves until I can do them naturally," he thought.
Drog performed the moves over and over again, until he could do them as naturally as he could breathe. "Time to go," he thought and walked out of the cave.
The first thing Drog saw was the rising sun. He looked around. Not seeing anyone around or Lucia specifically, he left the outer disciple peak by taking the bridge and arrived onto the main peak. He made his way over to the mission building and walked inside. He approached one of the elders that were sitting behind the counters. "I want to take on a mission," he said.
"I will need your identification insignia," the elder said.
Drog pulled out his identification insignia from his pendant and placed it on the counter, in front of the elder.
The elder took Drog's identification insignia and held it in his hand for a few seconds. "Very well," he said and placed it back on the counter.
Drog took his identification insignia and stored it inside of his pendant.
"We have three missions for an outer disciple such as yourself. Plant gathering, package delivery and magical beast core gathering. Which one do you want?"
"I will take the core gathering mission," Drog said and thought, "I will collect what I need for the mission and devour Qi from the rest."
"You have to collect ten cores of magical beasts named dawn wolf. They are rank 1 early-stage magical beasts. They are equivalent to a rank 3 martial mortal in strength and defence. You should be able to deal with them as you are a rank 4 martial mortal yourself. The reward is 50 copper coins."
"Alright," Drog said as he nodded his head.
The elder pulled out a sheet of paper from behind the counter and placed it on it. "Go to the teleport formation in the elder peak and show this to the elder in charge. He will do two things for you. One, give you a return talisman which will teleport you back into the sect. Two, teleport you to your mission's destination. Good luck."
Drog took the sheet of paper and stored it inside his pendant. "I will return shortly," he said and walked out of the building. He made his way to the bridge which led to the elder's peak and took it. As he was crossing it, he saw a few elders, but not one of them stoped him.
Arriving on the elder's peak, Drog quickly found the teleport formation and approached it. The elder standing guard looked at him. "Where to?"
Drog pulled out the sheet of paper from his pendant and showed it to the elder.
"I see," The elder said and pulled out a talisman. "To activate the return talisman just pour your Qi inside it. Step into the formation."
Drog took the talisman and stored it and the sheet of paper into his pendant. He entered the formation and his surroundings changed. He was now in a forest.
