Curious Eyes

"Mom..They're staring." The little girl cried. People laughed and stared at the girl, Questions crowding their minds

'What an ugly shit' A man laughed.

'The fuck is on her face?' One asked.

"Don't mind them sweetie, your beautiful in the inside." Her mom replied. And so they Ate, the tasty food that was served to them.

Soon the little girl grew, and started to become more and more self-conscious about the birthmark that covered half of her face. People stared. 'Isn't that what people do all day?' She thought to herself, slowly dampening her mood. But she was never happy, why couldn't she find her peace?

Time flew by, and high-school came. Teachers and students laughed and gossiped, now spread everywhere. Wherever she went, the voices followed. She was placed at the back of the class so she wouldn't be continuously bombarded by piles of crumpled up paper saying.

'What an ugly shit'

their actions hurt. But the words hurt more. Day after day, she planned to be gone from this world.

She cut and cuts, not once leaving a space. Laying on the bathroom floor, tears and blood mixed. And not leaving a clean space on her fragile skin.

And now she eats. Finally at Peace. "They won't have to stare at you anymore." Her mother touches her daughters face
