It's new year's eve, the whole family decided to spend the on the Si mansion since Grandpa Si is the only one there except the maids.


"Child, I'm so happy that you are here but when will I hold my great grandchildren?Is there still none?" Grandpa Si said like hs life depended on it


"You know grandpa we can't possibly have children right away. We're only married for about six months and it's not that easy to be pregnant.Everything has it's own course"Layla explained.


Drihn immediately supported his wife's claim. 


"Grandpa, Lai's right the baby will come on the right time. We are not in a hurry as both of us are busy right now besides you'll live a long life so you will definitely hold your great grandchildren."


"Yes, yes brother in law is right. Grandpa why don't you just rush my brother and Stelly to get married.Afterall they're in a relationship since they're 15." Michaella Lu said


"Damn you elle who said you can use us like this" Michael Lu cursed


"Elle is right, Auntie Shiela why don't you and Uncle Martin arrange it." Layla chimed in


"Shiela go and talk to the Gu's over some dinner. I think it will be pretty nice, they have been in a relationship for 10 years it's time to settle down. " Grandpa Si decided


The dinner went by peacefully.The next day Drihn and Layla went to visit the Shen's mansion. 


After walking down the car the old housekeeper greeted them. and announce their arrival. 


Layla greeted Granpa Shen and went to hug the old man's arm. Being the only girl in the generation Layla is pretty spoiled by her mother's family. Leo Shen has three sons and one daughter; Liam Shen the eldest is the chairman of Central Military Commission(CMC), Lander Shen and Lance Shen the second and third son are the vice chairman. While Laira died in a plane crash. 


Liam has two sons named Leon and Louis. Lander has one named Levi and Lance also has one son named Lucas. All of them entered the military so the Shen house only has Layla as a flower. 


"How about me? do you only care about your grandpa? "Grandma Shen said


Layla scoot over and hug Grandma Shen. Lauren Orlando is a Canadian that married a Chinese man. After marrying she became a citizen of china. And stayed here ever since. This marriage made her give up all her plans before marriage.Though she continued to design and made her way into becoming a famous designer. She attended paris fashion week and several times she brought Layla.Her mother also runs her own clothing line before her death. So designing runs in the blood. 


"Grandma you're so pretty and look so young so I didn't realize it's you. I thought it's some visitor. "


"This child and her sweet tongue" Grandma Shen laugh happily while softly patting her arms.


"Hey sis I didn't see you for a month and here you are looking prettier than ever." Lucas greeted. Since Lucas is the youngest and closest to her age their relationship is the among her other cousins. 


"Lai we're borrowing your man." Leon sternly said.


"Go ahead" Layla softly said. She already knew what her cousins are going to do. Afterall since she was a child they always said that her future husband have to be strong enough to protect their princess.
