see what I did there? ;)
•Person's Perspective•
I was only enjoying the afternoon breeze, nothing out of the norm. I had my friends accompany me as we try to find some small fry beasts and possibly sell some cores, it was fun.
Our group was made up of only 4 members, since there was no other 12 year olds like us who liked to venture out, even though we only visit the low-leveled areas.
It composed of me, Matthew, our main damage! Then there's Trishka, who's also like me, but instead of purely fighting, she uses her shield as defense and takes most of the hits like a boss! Next to our formation is our Magic-caster, Tryph! He likes magical stuff and has built a connection to the God of Healing! Of course, he isn't completely worthless since his main purpose is being our main long-range caster! And lastly, we have Lucy! She is the Archer and she likes using bows, or shortbows according to older people.
We were in the middle of throwing playful jabs at each other when we heard a rustling not far from us, and a thud. We stared at each other and rushed to the scene.
When we arrived there, what we saw was an unconscious boy lying on the ground, with a dangerous looking WereJackal near him. I drew my sword from it's sheath and dash straight at the beast.
"Movement Boost!" Tryph screamed, casting a Movement Boost blessing upon us. I swinged my sword against the beast's claws and we lock onto a heated battle.
I slid my sword across it's claws as I dug my right heel on the ground and swung with force, slashing the beast's right ear, causing it to howl and slash vertically.
I jumped to the side and rush at it again, this time aiming for it's head. It tried to block with it's claws, but I swiftly changed my sword's direction mid-air and struck it at it's foot, making it limp on the spot.
Lucy, who was waiting at the back for an opening, shot three arrows at the beast and accurately shot it's neck, spine, and right leg, immediately killing it on the spot.
"Nice kill, Matt! Now let's heal this guy!" Tryph called me over. I nodded with a smirk and went over to them. Trishka has already picked up the boy in her arms and placed his head on her lap.
"Hey doesn't he look like that one kid that we see in town? The one in the posters?" Lucy pointed out, while Tryph was chanting a short prayer to the God of Healing.
While Tryph was praying, a soft yellow light enveloped the kid, slowly removing the random scratches on his skin and giving him a healthy glow.
"I think so, but doesn't the poster say that that menace is 2 years old and has magic? This little guy here seems a bit older and weaker than that" Trishka pointed out, refuting Lucy's claim. Lucy shrugged it off and set out as look-out.
"There, he should wake up soon enough!" Tryph said as the yellow light that surrounded the kid died down. We kept staring, waiting for him to wake up.
•Perspective End•
Red felt a soft warmth invade his being and slowly forced him to wake up, which he did since he has no reasons otherwise.
When he woke up, the first thing that greeted him were 3 faces looking at his face at close proximity, causing him to scream and jump in shock, bumping heads with one of them.
"Oww! You have a tough skull!" The guy said as he rubbed his forehead with a pout. Red immediately apologized and bowed down low, like some Jap Character.
"I'm extremely sorry!" Red kept saying, while secretly mumbling "gomenassai" in his head. The three kids looked at each other and shrugged.
"Okay we forgive you, but what's your name? How come you were so close in the forest's danger spots?" The girl with brown armor asked. She had hazel colored hair, which matched her bluish eyes. She had a fair skin when you take a first glance, but when you take a closer look, it looks a bit metallic, like it's covered in metal.
The boy next to her, who Red accidentally hit, had Orange hair that covers most of his forehead, and a few streaks of red all over. He had gold eyes that looked like coins. He was leaning on the lean side but has a few bulges of muscle, showing stable and healthy growth.
The last boy was dressed as a mage, long robes and all, and had lapis colored hair, and forest green eyes, which made Red think of Earth-chan weirdly.
"Uhm, I'm Red. Red Lith, and you are?" Red greeted out as he stretched his hands. The orange-haired boy was the first to reach out to his hands. With a large grin, the boy said "I'm Matthew! Matthew Freccs! And I specialize in swords! My dad taught me!"
"Nice to meet you Matthew!" Red shook his hands, feeling Matt's slightly course hand, probably from spending a lot of time holding a sword. Next to come up was the hazel-haired girl.
"I'm Trishka! And I am a shield warrior! My sister taught me!" She greeted with a grin as she posed with her chest puffed out. The blue-haired scoffed and said in a nonchalant tone "But your sister is clearly better at it than you"
This caused Trishka to turn from haughty one second, to extremely wrathful the next. "WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME, WATER BOY?! I CAN TELL YOU RIGHT NOW THAT IF I BASH MY SHIELD AT YOU, YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO RUN AWAY FROM MOM'S PESTERING!"
Red watched on helplessly as Matt stood by his side. Red glanced at him for a brief moment and continued watching Trishka fight it out with the mage.
"That guy is Tryph! He and Trishka are twins, but Tryph got his magic affinities when he was around 5, so he wasn't taught their technique, or so Trishka says, and started forming connections to different Gods at 8!" He stated proudly. Red looked at him with a questioning glance. Matt then continued talking.
"And when he did connect to one, he connected to the God of Healing! So now he's our healer when we need it, but also our long-ranged dealer! Pretty nifty right?!" Matt said with a glimmer in his eyes.
Red chuckled and nodded as he noticed the two are locked onto each other, with Trishka pinning Tryph down and tickling his sides, and a crying Tryph who can't stop his laughters.
Red smiled and checked his system just to check if there was anything he got or lost, other than his magic, which was a sad case of achieving and losing at the next moment.
Red turned gloomy just from the thought, but remembered a single flaw that the system has overlooked. He internally laughed and berated the system for it's foolishness.
'If I can't use magic against my enemies, who's to say Science won't work! Ha! Suck that!'
And while Red was stuck in his scientific fantasy of throwing unexpected grenades at enemies, then fooling them with powder, but killing them unexpectedly by lighting the powder on fire, another girl came running back to them and shouted "SPORENETS ARE COMING!"
Immediately, without even questioning what the hell a Sporenet is, Red and the others ran to the city, hoping to evade the swarm.
They ran for their lives, and while running, Red managed to ask the blonde girl her name.
"I'm Lucy! An Archer, but that doesn't matter! RUUUNN!!"
They kept running, and not far from them, wings of bugs were audible even though they were a good few meters away from the beasts, scaring Red to his wits end.
'Damned system! If only I could use my magic again!'
He kept cursing the system internally and continued sprinting, eventually landing second to last in their run, behind him was Lucy who was trying to shoot out some Sporenets.
While running, Red suddenly remembered his neglected Heaven-ranked Sword Skill, so he opened it up in the system and read it's traits.

Red stared at it and applied it to himself. Suddenly, time around him felt like it all stopped, and he found himself slowly leaving behind his mortal body. He felt like he was being dragged to another dimension, and that's when everything turned black.
When he woke up, he found himself in the middle of a plains, with nothing but a floating wooden sword in front of him.
