Fateful change

After a few hours of sleeping and searching up information in the net, I went back into the game. Filling the nutrition tab with all the bags of nutrition until none was left, I took a last look at my open tabs on the computer and saw that the percentage that wanted to peramanently stay in the game had risen to 98%. Going into the capsule, I lay down and the secretion once again began to enclose me, through the nose and every other orifice, giving me problems to breath, but then the black screen once again welcomed me and relieved me of my problems. Suddenly, I felt my head spin and I once again I lay on the ground with bruises all over me. Mo and Shira looked at me worriedly and were ashamed of something. Not able to do anything as they too were trapped in chains, I asked them, with an already bad premonition: "What is going on? Why are you looking at me so worriedly?"

"They tortured us until we told them something about you. Then they healed us and did it again and again. In the end we had to say something. I am so sorry." Shira nearly started crying. She too had been tortured many times, although she was the chief's daughter and only child. "We told them about you being a high priest and, even though they should have been scared of doing something to you, they weren't scared at all. After we said it to them, they left and haven't come back yet." Desperate, not knowing what will happen, they sat there in the wet cave, having no light at all but still able to see each other, they heard tapping noises coming from the entrance of the cave. The shadow of one of the big guys appeared and took us with him by pulling us at the chains that blocked us from using skills and spells. Up the cave and down the hill in which the cave was placed, we walked into the village and directly towards the village's centre. A podium was built there and while Shira was led besides it, Mo and I were led on top of it. The uncle of Shira I hated spoke up, while the father of Shira was nowhere to be seen. "The chief of the tribe has decided to kill you but everyone with a special method to show you all, that betraying is a bad business and that you'll know it in your next life." The crowd started throwing evil insults at us. A few minutes later after everything had been said, the uncle of Shira started talking again. "Shira, you are first as this was your fault after all. Bring him in!" The last bit was said to the panther people who were standing outside of the crowd and were holding a battered, yet still alive body in their hands. Recognising the person in their hands as the father of Shira, I wanted to turn to her and hold my hand before her eyes and save her the sight of her beloved one, once being proud and tall-standing, being all bloody and tattered. "DAAAD! What have you done you dirty pig?!" The relationship to her uncle has decreaed drastically and ended up at blood feud, but instead of answering the question, he gave the order to hold her tight and gave them the sign to slowly kill the former leader of the panther tribe. Tack--Tack--Tack, that was the regular sound of a rough stick hitting on the body of the collapsed man, that sounded through the now quiet riot which watched it with either glee or with gloom as if they had just awoken from a bad dream. Only the sobbing of the desperate Shira was sounding throughout the silence, and as if hearing her, her father lifted up his face and with a cumbersome, but relatively strong voice he told her: "Child, don't you worry, I will find you in the next life. Trust in Kishtan." Then, his body flagged down and his breathing stopped. "What interesting last words, well, let's come to the main program. Pierce that that annoying girl. Immediately, the guy behind me, lifted his sword and I wasn't able to do anything to help her. "Stop it!", hoping that he would listen to me, I yelled at them, but the sword got nearer and nearer. Then with a smack, it hit her and slashed open her back. Slowly, red blood started to flow out. The uncle of her started talking again: "Now, let her live but just barely, I want to see that priest do something, as it is his duty to help those in need. If he isn't one of those special guys, one of those isolated hermits, it doesn't matter which god he believes in, he will be forcefully separated from their deity. That will be fun to watch to see his deity getting angry at him. About that merman, let him see how his companions suffer. Now get me some food and a chair! That will be a show to watch." Getting himself a chair, he sits down and waits for his food to arrive and for me to do something. "Shira, wait for me! I will save you!" I read through every skill I had but couldn't find anything. Searching on a broader basis, I read through my occupation's description.

Being way to desperate, I immediately used the god's dominion skill. Although I didn't really want to lose my profession, for me to save Shira, I had to do everything in my power as I was the only reason she was in this mess. ~God's dominion

The atmosphere changed suddenly and the crowd roused up, and wanted to flee the area. Unfortunately for them, it was as if a barrier had been erected. And suddenly, a gigantic portal appeared in front of the crowd and a suppressing aura was spread out throughout the nearby regions, causing everybody to want to kneel. A titanic foot appeared through the portal, all scaly and pale-white The aura got more and more suppressing. Bigger and bigger did the leg grow and finally the rest of the body appeared.

"AH! What happened here? Why am I suddenly here?" Looking around confusedly, I saw that there were mortals and even a player present. Murmuring to himself: "Assume posture. What a difficult thing to do when you wanted to take a trip with your pet." Then, in a loud voice again, he asked irritatedly: "Mo, why did you sacrifice my gift, I just gifted you a few weeks ago? I won't gift you that again. That's too unappreciative from you." As I was already speaking, I directly asked the still and only standing panther guy menacingly: "What did you do for him to sacrifice my gift? And who do you think you are to still stand straight in front of me?"

The panther guy, who was Shira's uncle flinched but still stood there in front of me, not fearing me the slightest: "My god, Flavius will protect me against you, you evil spirit. He promised me that he would do anything for me. Begone!"

"HAHAHA! That's the best joke I have heard in one thousand years. Wait a second, please" turning away and lift my face into the direction of the heavens, "FLAVIUS!!! MOVE YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!!!"
