Getting a teenager

"No, I am not injured or anything, but where am I and who the f*ck are you?" She was getting right to the point. "Not even a bit small talk, huh" Actually, she had the right to act like this, since she was the one who was kidnapped. "A question for you. Ready?" She seemed to get angrier with the minute, but as she knew that her father wouldn't let her go willingly, she had to constrain herself a bit and listen to the words of her kidnapper.

With a bit of hesitation, she answered to my question: "Yes, I am ready. But tell me at least where I am! Please?" Her eyes got round and watery. That might be a tactic of mortal women to bring male people to do what they wanted to do. "You can save your cute-eyes tactic for later. About my question. What exactly do you know about deities and the multiverse?" She seemed to be shocked by the audacity of me, talking about gods so frivolously, but then a realisation came to her and it showed on her face with her mouth forming an O and her eyes got wider and wider.

"This can't be! You can't be a deity! You look more like a mortal. But a strange mortal nonetheless." Noticing her seemingly inappropriate behaviour in the face of talking to a god and fell on her knees, begging for forgiveness.

What an adorable little girl. "How old are you Quin?" The illogical question that didn't have anything to do with the situation at all, confused her. She looked up and answered cheekily: "I am 16. Why?" That answer threw me out of the concept. Mumbling to myself again: "Oh no! A teenager! What have I done?"

I wanted to get out as fast as possible. Teenagers were completely incalculable. Especially during this age. "Uhm, nothing. What did you want to do when you were still with your sect?" With an erratic mind, I tried to find something to occupy her with. Maybe archery. I could send her to the elves. Or sorcery, well, it depended on which one. Or fighting with weapons. Nah I don't know what to do.

"I wanted to travel the world and find out about everything there is. And why did you say multiverse? There is only one world in existence and that is ours." Hell! didn't they know about the players from the outside world? Maybe only some knew and others didn't. "Forget about that point for now. If you wanted to travel the world, why not learn some fighting styles first and then, when you are able to defend yourself, you can go and learn about the world and meet others. I can help you with that if you want to." Please accept, please, please, please. I beg you almighty god. Oh that's me, sorry. The decision I made was one of the worst, I had ever made. Bringing a teenager in my house. At least she isn't a boy or a girl that always is out for beauty stuff like the ones in my old world.

"Yes, this is acceptable. But you must promise me to send me out to explore the world once I am good enough." This was acceptable, and a sudden idea flashed in my mind. "I promise you. And for that experience to happen sooner, you have to choose which craft or mastery you want to learn and I will send you to the masters of that subject." This way, I will have her out of my way sooner than later. But somehow, I had already begun to like her, and it hurt a bit to send her away already. And that was after such a short time! "But first, you have to accept my request to adopt you. That way, I will always know where you are and I will be able to help you in times of need. Alright?"

She seemed to think about it. First, she didn't want to oppose a god, but otherwise, if she accepted the offer, she rejected the idea that her father was still living or that she wanted to return. Hesitantly, she accepted my offer, although I knew that it was only because she was caring for her remaining family members in the sect. To disperse her last doubts I looked on my map at the place where the floating dragon's sect palace stood and zoomed in and watched in live mode how the other members just were about to decapitate her family members and I said to her: "Quin, the remaining members of your family are just about to be decapitated..." She woke up from her stupor of thinking about them and pleaded me to rescue them.

"But I don't know if this is of any use to me. You know, they can't do anything for me and I don't have a use for useless people. That's as well for you to know." She got desperate for me to save them and even wanted to give me her body, but, I don't like incest. Because that's what would happen, Incest.

"I will help them, but we will sort this out later, okay? And I won't bring them here. This is my house and only chosen ones are allowed in here." She just nodded and was about to cry again. In the live modus, I uploaded a simulation of myself that was able to talk and cast, but not walk or move around, although, turning around in a circle was doable. It had its own uses. For example, a situation like this required mostly casting and talking and not intermediate action.

As I appeared behind the executioner, the crowd that consisted city people, that were enraged by something I don't know and players who were there for a good show, while the rest of the family members of Quin and the old man were on a second podium, tied down with special ropes. The no-good however, although he was the son of the old man as well, stood there on a podium besides the old advisers of the former sect master.

Everybody backed away from the second podium in the middle of the square. The only exception who didn't back away were the players as the smelled a quest coming up. And how right they were, but not from me, but from the young sect master.
