Toshinori's stomach twisted the feeling of nausea never leaving him. That was pretty common due to half of his stomach missing, but that's not what was making him so uneasy.
Earlier today he was simply heading out for groceries in the market, enjoying the early spring, when people started screaming, panic flooding the street. Making his way towards the commotion he spotted goops of green sludge that was blocking the street.
Simply abandoning his groceries he quickly ran into a dimly lit alleyway nearby to transform into his buffer form, wisp of smoke covering his exit. Then making his way back to where the villain was, he spotted it taking off down a sewer drain.
"I AM HERE!" He yelled over the roaring crowds, letting the people know that there was a pro-hero taking care of the villain.
Wasting no time, he took off after the green sludge down into the sewer drain, grim and murky waters ignored. Following the sludge, clumps of trash that littered the ground got sucked up into it.
After chasing the villain through the different tunnels, it finally emerged from the sewer with Toshinori in its pursuit. Jumping up after the villain his blood ran cold to find he was slightly too late as found himself under an overhang of an old bridge as the sludge villain held a young boy captive.
Panicking, he activated one for all and quickly blew the sludge into pieces, splattering it across the walls. Rushing forwarded he caught the boy before he hit the ground he gently laid the boy onto the ground so he could pick up the pieces of green slosh.
Using an empty soda bottle that the sludge picked up, he managed to fit the grimy sludge inside and tuck it into his pockets. Smoke slowly started to roll off him as he turned back to check on the boy that he rescued.
The boy in general startled him, as his milky white skin was covered in freckles and scars that were not affected by the small chunks of sludge. His hair was pulled into a messy bun of bright emerald and black, unbothered curls falling onto his face. Lashes brushing his cheeks that glimmered along with the piercing that adorned his ears.
Shaking his head Toshinori crouched down and lightly tapped on his cheek to awake the boy. Suddenly the boy's eyes shot open, unraveling their harlequin green color that was flaked with specks of gold.
The boy jumped away from his touch, eyes wide with panic, his hands dug into his pockets until he doubled over and hurled. Worried, Toshinori started to lightly pat the boys back to help clear out the sludge that was most likely in his system.
The shallow breath of the boy shook his small frame before his body tensed under his touch. The boy flinched from him, eyes glazing up at him under furrowed eyebrows, recognization glinted in the boy's eyes as well as fear.
Staring down at the boy he now spotted varies of bruises, along with burns lined his cheeks and dipped under his jacket. Toshinori's eyes softened with worry for the boy's health, as it looked like just the wind could blow the kid over.
The boy's eyes turned to a glare that that flickered with confusion and frustration, turning the harlequin green a toxic color. The sudden wisp of smoke reminded Toshinori that he was nearing his limit and had to get going.
"Are you ok, my boy?"
He asks, his voice laced with concern as the boy turns his head away from him.
"M'h fine." The boy grumbled, his voice tired but smooth.
"Ah, well good, but I must get going, villains won't catch themselves." Toshinori smiled, but the boy's eye crinkled and tried to suppress a wince.
Brushing it off, Toshinori turned on his heel and took off into the sky without another word to the boy. He doesn't know why but something just rubbed him the wrong way about the boy.

Toshinori felt like he was gonna be sick. He stood in the crowd that was watching the sludge villain, another child caught in his grasp as a hostage. The same villain he just caught.
Somehow when he jumped the bottles that contained the villain slipped out and they escaped, which led to where he was now.
Smoke filled the air, explosions echoing off the street buildings due to the boy's quirk. Heroes rushed around, no one going into action due to not having the right quirk for the job.
Toshinori sunk even farther into the guilt that clawed its way around him. This was his fault. If he wasn't so weak or just had more time he could fix this but he was already way past his limit.
But then a green blur rushed out from the crowd towards the villain and the hostage. His eyes widened as he recognized the green haired boy he had just rescued from the sludge villain not too long ago.
The green haired boy hurled himself into the air as the knife in his hands glinted in the sunlight. The blood curling scream that followed after the knife made its target made Toshinori freeze.
The green haired boy quickly removed his knife and pulled the hostage out of the prison of sludge. Toshinori was snapped out of his haze when the heroes along with the paramedics rush forwards towards the boys.
The crowd flooded his vision blocking out his view of the two as they were ushered away as Toshinori's thoughts raced.
The way the boy moved or how his eyes held no linger of doubt when he rushed forward. The way the boy was covered in scars, bruises, and burns or how he flinched at every touch.
Something wasn't right and he was gonna find out what it was.
Later that right Toshinori pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts before stopping on the one he wanted. Pushing call and raising the phone to his ear, the call was soon picked up.
"Hey, Toshi, what's up?"
"Naomasa, I was wondering if you could help me out a bit. You see today I met someone..."

The tension in the room was thick to the point of suffocation, choking the victims that were inside. Smoke flooded the room making eyes water and hazy.
Hisashi was so done, familiar warmth building up in his chest screaming to be released. Embers burning at the back off his throat flickered to life.
"S-sir, please understand this was not under our control."
The quivering man stood before Hisashi as he shifted from foot to foot. He scoffed, eyes narrowed on the man.
What was his name again? Ako- something. Doesn't matter anyway, he could be replaced. Anyone could.
Hisashi's eyes darkened, a gleam in his eyes that couldn't be named as he slowly stood up from his chair. The man tensed in front of him, unsure of what the man would do.
Licking his lips Hisashi studied the small man before him. So small and helpless in the presence of himself. It sent shocks of thrill through his spine.
"This will not happen again," Hisashi growled. The fire in his chest climbing.
"Y-yes, Sir! Of course. I will make sure first hand." The man stuttered, hands fidgeting.
Lips curling into a smirk, eyes crinkling in the corners. His eyes sparked, swirling with insanity before flames exploded around the room.
Bright reds, oranges, and yellows tore at the man's clothes and flesh, his shrilling screaming and pleads ending out pointless. The smell of burnt flesh and blood twist around the room along with the smoke.
The flames slowly died in Hisashi's throat as nothing more laid of the man, the insane smirk never leaving his face. It was a pity somewhat, but this could be fixed.
The underground hero Eraserhead had been on his trail for a while, but this was the first he'd taken out one of his men. They have tried to track him down, but everything have led to a dead ends so far, but they did know one thing. He worked at UA.
A broken, crazed laugh escaped Hisashi's lips at his own ingenious. Taking out Eraserhead and having a spy in UA was like hitting two birds with one stone and he knew the perfect person to do it.
It looked like his little rose had a new mission.
