A God of Neutral Chaos

Xiao Fan now back to his normal cultivation level was wandering inside the portal that led him to escape his fate made by the person helping him.

Behind him, he had left the Bald Eagle Dynasty's capital in chaos, mild chaos, but much more than enough to make his existence there wiped. No one would know who he was. This, of course, was a good thing, even Xiao Fan himself knew it, though, in his last form, he could have destroyed the entire capital easily, yet hadn't done so. Because the deal made with the being stated that he was obliged not to cause too much chaos inside there and only seek revenge, but oh well, Xiao Fan didn't want to destroy the city anyway, for he only thing it would do is ignite chaos. And sending the capital into chaos was not helpful to his cause at all. All it would do is send the whole continent into flames, where gaining strength would be harder.

So the current situation wasn't too bad, Xiao Fan concluded, then ending his pondering about the events today, he focussed his mind to the current situation unfolding. Currently, he was in some kind of a tunnel or a corridor, not knowing what it was Xiao Fan decided not to think about it or try to understand it.

Most probably even if he tried to understand what was going on here, he wouldn't gain anything, as everything was too foreign and mystical for him to begin comprehending, so Xiao Fan used his eyes to try and remember any of the formations or such that were presented to him inside here, maybe later they would help him.

There was a lot to remember, starting from an inconspicuous line that travelled the entire way inside here, curling around him on the walls of this portal, and whilst the sides were full of things, unfavourably Xiao Fan didn't get any idea of the floor, as he couldn't see it.

This was because of his own doing, however, or more precisely it was the blood of Pan Qiao that was blocking his view of the floor. A little unfortunate Xiao Fan thought before focusing back onto the black walls of the portal while slowly coming to the ending point of the portal.

And like when he had looked back towards the entrance a few minutes ago, he when now looking forward could see a picture or a landscape forming right in front of him. The picture itself that he could see was of a forest, a somewhat tropical forest yet not a jungle.

¨Oh, so I'm not going to a city or anything but a jungle¨ He spoke to himself while coming to the edge of the portal, soon standing on the edge so that he could peak to the outside while having his legs still inside the boy could see more clearly where his trip ended.

Looking beneath him he thought that it wasn't too good of a bus stop, for in front of him there was a small drop that the blood used without question, yet Xiao Fan wasn't too happy about jumping into a flowing river. A river that didn't become any more welcoming by having it painted somewhat red.

But thinking that the owner of the voice would never harm a small-time cultivator like him, he after a few moments of looking from the edge of the portal just to appreciate the portal itself jumped into the water.

He had never, of course, been even close to a large body of water, so he soon realised it was a bad idea to blindly jump in, as he was about to drown. Favourably to him, however, every time he went down under would a current get him up again saving his life. Nevertheless, still, in his wet clothes, he tried to float by flapping his hands and feet desperately while trying to gasp air at any time he was given, yet these desperate tries of his were not of much help as they only used up his stamina some more.

Trying to survive, he didn't yet think why the being wanted to do something like this as he was slowly drifting towards the edge of the stream where the flow of water became much stronger each passing second.

Coming up once again from under the water, he opened his eye to see what was waiting for him there, seeing what was waiting, he then would for the first time curse at the so benevolent person, who had gotten him out of prison only to be thrown into a river that ends with a waterfall down to his death.

But not willing to die here he tried to think a way out, and soon he saw a small branch of a tree at the edge of the stream. Feeling that this branch would be his only shot at survival, he made an effort to reach that tree branch. Yet despite his best efforts, the current wouldn't let that plan fulfil, as the flow of water was taking him towards the drop, making the scenario of him grabbing the branch impossible.

Just about to fall, he got a grip to one of the stones that had been hitting him before, and for a moment, he was saved. Still, that was but for a moment as he couldn't keep that grip nor was it helpful, so he decided to let go.

Now only seconds away from falling, he prepared as the very next second the water pressure threw him off the very edge of the waterfall by a few meters, allowing him to see what was waiting for him as no water was blocking his eyes.

Glancing at the bottom, he saw that the fall was only some stories and thought that fall like that should be easy enough for him. He had feared for a bigger drop, so this small one he felt like it was doable, for he had been training for years so hid body should handle this.

Xiao Fan got even a little cocky as he thought how hard could diving into a pool of water even be? Liquid like water shouldn't be hard to fall on, he thought, when falling to the water and considering that the worst was over.

Surely he couldn't have been more wrong since when he hit the water, he felt like it was harder than the dirt ground that he had landed on as a kid, for during the hit, he felt how his legs almost broke from the fall to the water.

Then while screaming, he was silently cursing the person, who had made him suffer like this. If he had known it would be something like this, he would have at least thought for a few moments before walking into the portal to be played by the person. Yet soon, he noticed that he was still in the water and falling towards the bottom, it was a feeling which made him feel the need to find a way to get solid ground under him before drowning for real.

He still, didn't know how to swim, but now that he was in a much more calm body of water with only small waves forming from the downfall of water could Xiao Fan concentrate a little better on staying afloat. And so first, by running his legs as one would do on land, he found that it worked pretty well in the water and soon he was getting back to the surface. From there, he again reasoned that one could use his hands like when running to steer himself towards land.

Minutes later, Xiao Fan's excellent skills in learning could be seen as he swam like an animal would when dropped into water for the very first time. In him, there was no panic and drowning in that panic; in him, there was a clear idea of what he needs to do.

Getting to the beach was he exhausted by his efforts and so turned to lay on his back to catch air and to think to himself that the dam voice could show up or did the being open the portal to a random place?

He might not know, but he had hit pretty close since the person had indeed opened the portal into a random location and was now speeding his being towards the place. When coming to the pond of water, the person noted that his new project was already cursing him for no apparent reasons? And how the curses were about him trying to kill him? The being was weirded out by this. He hadn't attempted to kill him, yet!

¨Hey, why are you cursing me? Didn't I free you from prison and the other things?¨ He asked in his unusual tone, floating around Xiao Fan while at the same time looking back at the young man's memories, from which he began to see how his portal had nearly killed Xiao Fan.

Meanwhile, as he did so, Xiao Fan hearing the voice again had mixed messages about the help the person had given him ¨What type of being are you?¨ He asked as he now most desired to know this.

There was a slight pause before the voice introduced.

¨I'm the God of Neutral Chaos! Ruler of hundreds of Worlds and under me there are countless of Kings and Warlords!¨

Together with proudly presenting his titles, he also projected himself to appear in front of Xiao Fan in a projection that showed an old man with a long beard to his feet.

Now seeing the white-bearded man who proclaimed to be the God of Neutral Chaos, he thought that it was a very fitting title for this old man, for if one God could be like the one he had met, should it indeed be a god related to chaos. Disregarding his Godhood title, which only made him little helpless, he was weirdly impressed by what he said he ruled over. This person ruled over hundreds of Worlds and countless Kings and Warlords? How could a person like him manage a village even less a world? What was a world in the old man's dictionary anyway?

The young man, of course, didn't know what a World was, yet it should be something huge since the Bald Eagle dynasty he had been a prisoner of moments ago had a King and few Warlords around it, so a World that he had less must be more significant than a Kingdom, he reasoned.

Seeing the boy not impressed by his introduction was he little saddened from it, but then asked the young man a simple question ¨If you don't think I'm not great then please introduce yourself young man¨ He chuckled. Even if he didn't top the ranks of Gods in the universe, was he still a big shot anywhere he went.

To this, the young man stood up from the ground, then not bowing he introduced himself ¨Xiao Fan! The only person who has escaped the Imperial prison of the Bald Eagle Dynasty!¨ He spoke while adding in a good sounding title.

From seeing this performance, the God became pleased to how shameless the young man named Xiao Fan was, for he gave himself a title that was him walking through a portal a God had prepared for him. ¨Well Xiao Fan how will you repay this God?¨

Xiao Fan thought for a moment before giving an answer ¨Can I get more debt before I repay?¨

His words shocking the God seen by how the projection shifted a few inches back from hearing what Xiao Fan had said to him. Never would he have thought someone being so shameless as to be asking for more credit from a God.

His introduction was just boisterous acting and changing things how they had happened but this? This was something else; however, he didn't mind this much as Xiao Fan would become his helper, so giving Xiao Fan debt towards him and by doing so giving him more fun in the future was the thing he wanted to do ¨Sure I just checked that you have unlimited credit and can ask almost anything¨

¨Yet remember that everything has a price tag on it. The price? That will be measured in years of service and loyalty to this God ¨ He told Xiao Fan and then made a happy laugh.

Hearing this Xiao Fan became ecstatic instead of sad since, for him, this was that a god, a being which should have unlimited knowledge on anything would give him anything if asked. The part of being indebted to someone was undoubtedly bad, but his position right now was worse, so that part was shrugged off.

Then he asked the projection ¨What is your true name?¨ This would be a long term relationship, so getting to know his given name would be a good start, he felt.

Unexpectedly the projection didn't say anything but gave him two separate pieces of paper. One was a scroll with his true name supposedly inside of it, and one was the price tag. However, when seeing the price tag floating in front of him, Xiao Fan jumped a little bit from shock. The price for his name was millions of years! ¨What's this about? Why is it so expensive?¨ He confusedly looked at the projection.

¨Do you think knowing a god's full name has no benefit? Let me tell you that price is low considering what one can do with my name¨ He spoke as the projection took the two papers hovering around him away, or more like they just vanished into thin air.

Before replying, he thought about it. He might not know what to do with his name, but surely other people could do countless things if they would know the true name of a God, he figured quickly enough. And taking that much debt was a no go, so another name was needed.

¨Then I will call you Cao Cao from now on! Cao Cao do you know why I can't sense any Qi in or around me?¨ Giving him such a name seemed pretty correct, and the name was straightforward, so he gave him the name Cao Cao.

Cao Cao didn't mind that name too much, so he went with it ¨This also intrigued me when I first saw you, for you trying to sense Qi is suicide¨

This was a sentence to which, Xiao Fan frowned. How could it be so? Did the man before lie to him or had he forgotten his teachings at some point ¨What do you mean?¨ He asked, still shaking, as he had just heard that he had tried to kill himself for years now.

¨If one does try to sense Qi before the Body Limit Realm will one die if he succeeds in gathering even a tiny amount of Qi inside of him. Simply said your body can't take in Qi yet¨

Xiao Fan nodded and then thought about what way was the cheapest to get information chunks from Cao Cao ¨Then can I have a book that will help me with my cultivation for the next few years?¨ A book should be cheaper than paying for one-time lessons from this God, Xiao Fan reasoned.

Cao Cao hearing his request became quiet, his projection turned around in front of Xiao Fan and shouted something to somewhere Xiao Fan couldn't see. Not knowing what or who Cao Cao was speaking to, he just chuckled a bit as the projection seemed to be talking to someone else while he still saw Cao Cao's back.

The real reason this was happening was Cao Cao hadn't thought of such a thing, and so he hadn't bothered with keeping a book concerning Xiao Fan's level cultivation much. He had to order one of his servants to fetch it. So on Cao Cao's side, the servant Cao Cao was speaking to disappeared and reappeared in mere seconds with a few books in her hands.

Then the woman servant threw them into the air and made them hover in front of Cao Cao. From where Cao Cao closed his senses and picked one of the books at random to appear before Xiao Fan.

When that was over, the projection turned around to face Xiao Fan again and spoke ¨This book should do it¨
