Hangzhou.

Hangzhou was a settlement that if Greenwood town was a level one, then Hefei City was a level two, and going by that Hangzhou was a level four settlement.

Hangzhou was a mighty settlement that was lorded over by a Body Reunion realm Warlord Zou Zexi.

When the two of them had first seen this city, they thought how vast could a city be and how could it be sustained in the middle of a jungle that practically has no strategic nor economic importance.

There were factors for this, but the crucial one was that even if the population of Hangzhou was humongous, they were being sustained here by keeping them dirt poor or straight-up slaves.

Outside the wall, there were tents everywhere, so many tents that they encompassed the wall of Hangzhou that kept the undesired out and everything important safe inside.

In practice, this meant that Hangzhou was a city of two worlds. One of them was the life of the general populous outside the wall living with nothing, but then coming inside the walls, one could see abundance on a scale one couldn't believe.

Yet the streets inside were usually empty, the reason they were lightly populated right now was the tournament that was going to happen.

Even if the tournament was still a week in the future, no one was coming at the last minute, as that would be straight disrespectful.

From this, anyone could realise that the paradise was paid by constant wars of the Warlord and taxing the poor outside from the last penny they had.

The only good thing here was the mood of everyone as it had calmed compared to a week ago because the special permission had ended, so no blatant murders were going around.

Still, there was a lot of arguments going around, and even when they had come inside the city, they had quickly lost Lei Kang, who had begun to quarrel with someone from another city.

Not caring so much about him, Xiao Fan and Du Lan separated from their caravan and went deeper into the city where the town centre was, and so the best things.

As they now had so much money that Xiao Fan could buy anything for her if he wanted here, and indeed he was going to do just that. Only the best for her.

However, when they had started to buy things without batting an eye or looking at the price, the shop keeper in of the shops they were visiting saw an extra chance to earn a few more gold coins, and so he approached the two.

Hearing this, Xiao Fan finished his thing with Du Lan, before turning to speak to this man who was talking about some auction.

¨No I haven't, care to tell me?¨ He got his idea and got pretty interested in what this man in a white thawb was talking.

He had heard the words auction, and that was entirely enough for him.

But the trader didn't say anything, only made a hand movement asserting that he wanted money for this information.

Xiao Fan took out a few silver coins for this merchant, yet the merchant still didn't say anything about the auction ¨With this kind of money you will not be getting anything from there¨ He chuckled.

Implying that the information about the auction was much more worth than a few silver coins.

Understanding this got Xiao Fan more enthusiastic about it, as it would mean that there must be some exceptional in the items of that auction.

So he gave him gold coins.

The trader seeing that he actually did have some money then gave Xiao Fan a pamphlet and took his leave back to the counter wherefrom he had been watching them.

Xiao Fan, who could now somewhat read this language started doing so, his mind silently thanking Du Lan for her help. And soon enough he got the bigger picture of this pamphlet.

It consisted of two sides were on one side there were a few items of the auction that they were advertising, and on its backside, there were instructions on how to get inside.

Then after reading it himself, he gave the pamphlet to Du Lan ¨What do you think is this worth it?¨ He asked for her opinion.

Du Lan skim-read it, and when she was done reading it she gave her answer ¨Yeah I think so. I don't know anything that these things do or are, but they must be something good¨

She then pointed out one of the items with her finger.

Look at this thing starts at 10 000 gold coins! It cant be useless if someone is willing to pay so much for it¨

He looked at the thing she was pointing at, it showed a picture of a sword and thought that if it cost 10 000 gold coins, then it indeed must be one good sword.

¨Well we don't have anything to do anyway here, so let's go¨

¨Yeah we are going to at least see what type of gathering it will be. Even if we don't take anything from there this time, I would still say that its a good idea to go and see what kind of thing auctions are¨

The decision having been made that they were going, Xiao Fan nodded his head in approval.

They didn't even need to wait for tomorrow for the auction to happen, the time on the pamphlet was marked for today.

So after getting this information they had left the market and booked their room into the best hotel in Hangzhou, where he changed his clothes that were still from the journey here.

Another set of red robes on he started waiting for his companion Du Lan, who said she would be putting on something better so he would need to wait a little longer.

However, this wait wasn't for nothing as seeing her come out from the other room in a white evening dress was well worth the wait.

Du Lan's silver hair fit well with this dress that he hadn't even seen before. The dress itself didn't show too much of her slender legs or well-rounded bottom, yet it did show off her back.

Xiao Fan seeing her come out in such a beautiful dress was for a while stunned, only coming back when she had already gone past him and was now bt the door, waiting for him.

Yet he wouldn't let her walk past him just like that, so with a few quick steps, he had her waist captured already. Then when her head turned around expecting something did the thing she was expecting come to her as kiss landed on her lips.

¨Do you like it?¨ She asked after their kiss had ended while still being held in his embrace.

¨I like it very much¨ He answered while leaving towards the auction with her.

They didn't know much about the auction, so they just went where it was supposed to happen and if paying didn't get them in Xiao Fan would say his name, surely with that they would get in.

Hangzhou was one of the biggest customers of Greenheart closeby, so everyone in the city must know the man who invented and profits from selling the commodity across the whole of Ohin Continent.

That might have of course worked with employees and if he would say his name, but before they got so far, trouble already began brewing for them because of Du Lan.

As some people believed that their positions in their own cities would surely get her attention and maybe even her favour, and so they acted upon this notion.

So before they even got into the line, two men appeared in front of them obstructing them from getting through.

¨Hello lady, wouldn't you prefer to come with us? We will be a much better company than this feeble man that you have¨ A person who had no unique characteristics in his appearance invited Du Lan to join them.

¨Some small-time person like him doesn't deserve someone like you! I'm Gong Tu, and you must have heard of me, so I spare the other introductions¨ The other one of the two spoke, looking down on Xiao Fan.

The other one that had skipped to introduce himself also added his name in ¨Yu Zedong from the Yu Family in Yu City. One can tell that my family runs an entire City!¨ The other one boasted his background to her.

Meanwhile, Du Lan began assuming the worst. Was this tournament going to be a meeting loaded with Lei Kang's? Surely not everyone here was like this; however looking around her, she concluded that it was so, as even behind these two other men started waiting for their turns to introduce her.

For a while, she was about to open up but before doing so decided to play with them a little bit ¨Sure you two are handsome, but regretfully I already have a partner today. I'm so sorry, but I can't come with you today¨ She replied in a way almost craved the two of them to fight Xiao Fan for her.

Immediately hearing her talk like this, their hearts started pumping quicker as they took their eyes off her towards Xiao Fan, who on the other hand, was stunned by how and what she had said.

¨Oh, that can be arranged¨ Yu Zedong said to Du Lan while Gong Tu was already taking steps towards her partner.

If the lady wanted to come with them, but he was keeping her from leaving could they surely take care of one man who looked more famished than a mortal.

Just beat him and then they would be the ones spending time with her.

Gong Tu ¨Buddy we heard that there is a special offer for you. If you hike that way, you will see it¨ He laughed.

Xiao Fan glanced at Du Lan with a face inquiring why she wanted these two to suffer, yet there was no reply from her.

So he then refocuses on Gong Tu, a teen whos beard was already growing well and without answering anything clutched his beard with one hand pushing his whole body to nudge downwards with his beard.

¨I don't have the time for you two please¨ He wanted to end this quickly and understanding there was no way out, he decided to make an example of these two and then hope others would take note.

Gong Tu whose body had now nudged instinctively not to get his precious beard ripped off now realised when feeling the power of their opponent that they might have kicked the wrong person, for he wasn't getting up by himself.

On the other hand, Yu Zedong didn't know what was really passing, so when he saw their opponent go for his friend's beard did he quickly try performing a quick punch towards him.

The fist; however, didn't get far as he also noted that between them, there was at least a two-grade difference, now he also grasped what Gong Tu had moments before him realised about Xiao Fan's cultivation.

But it was too late as the fist that had been going towards Xiao Fan had been slapped away like it had been a fly or something while still holding the other person by the beard.

Next thing following Xiao Fan's slapping Yu Zedong's hand away was how Xiao Fan grabbed to his arm in the subsequent motion and pulled him to the side, sending him flying a few meters.

One gone one to go he thought as he let the bearded man's beard go yet that was only to take better handless. He placed one hand on his neck and the other to grab from the backside of his robes and then sending him flying towards his buddy who was trying to get up.

Both of them could have fought back to some effect, yet there would have been no chance to win, so they chose to take a small beating from him. And now that it was over, they promptly took the closest alley and left the scene.

If they had known anything about Xiao Fan's cultivation, they would have never done anything, yet the only thing they had seen about was how Xiao Fan's body screamed feeble.

The two hecklers leaving, left everyone here look dumbly at Xiao Fan as to how could a body like his hide so much power while at the same time their ideas about approaching Du Lan vanished.

Meanwhile, Xiao Fan got back to Du Lan who was giggling ¨Why did you do something like that?¨ He truly wanted to know since there was no reason for her to do so.

¨Well it was either the two of them or them and everyone else here¨ She said, looking around them were dozens of other men who were now trying to forget about even seeing such a good woman as not to miss her.

However, it was only most of them, for a single man was still very much thinking about introducing himself.

The man mustered his confidence, and inside his head, he talked to himself how he can do it and go for it over and over again, yet when he got close enough to her and was about to something Xiao Fan had already sent him flying.

On the other hand, Xiao Fan was crying inside his head. He just wanted to get inside the auction house and not take place in some street tournament where his woman was the price!
